The Syrian army’s Tiger Forces, backed up by Syrian and Russian warplanes, recaptured the town of Umm Adasah Khaliliyah from the ISIS terrorist group in the province of Aleppo and set control over the Deir Hafer-Mahdum road.
By doing this, the Tiger Forces cut off the key ISIS supply line to the group’s stronghold of Deir Hafer and set a foothold for further operation to encircle this city.
Now, government forces will likely develop momentum in the directions of Tell Akoulah and Abu Maqbarah as-Saghirah in order to secure this important area east of Deir Hafer.
Yesterday, government troops seized the village of Jafrah and got a fire control of this important road.

Maybe they should strike further to the east instead of north towards Deir Hafer. If they strike towards the Jirah airbase ISIS would have to give up Deir Hafer without a fight or risk encirclement. If the SAA goes towards Tell Akoulah and forces ISIS out of Deir Hafer after a lengthy fight the next focal point would still probably be the Jirah airbase. Either way the next fight will be at the airbase. Might as well skip one battle and go straight to the next.

There is some report that SDF launched a naval invasion across the Euphrates river using a boat landing/airdrop on the other side of the Euphrates river near tabqah. I don’t think it been confirmed yet.

SAA is not trouble in Damascus nor Latakia . Al Toilet gains in Damascus are 90 percent reversed and Latakia is well defended . Damascus didnt fall in 2012 when the situation was dire so it wont fall in 2017

Once Hama offensive is suppressed again, SAA needs to focus on two things, 1 – having a second supply route to Aleppo, via Abu al- Duhur airbase. 2 – Clear the Homs-Hama border of ISIS. Eastern Aleppo and Aleppo in general should be fine because Liwa al Quds, SAA, NDF, Desert Hawks and I would assume some units of Tiger Forces are there as well. Have not heard much from Tiger Force team 6 since they lifted the siege on Kweiris. This is merely a minor setback, the momentum on Palmyra and Eastern Alepppo needs to be maintained!

That is true, NDF has always been a bit below par. Sending the Tigers there is a bad move in my opinion, maybe send some Tigers, some Desert Hawks and some Marines. Instead of just the Tigers, they are close to Raqqah and opening a new front to Deir Ezzor from the North West.
NDF is Iranian creation .This is why SAA still use them because Iran pressures the govemrent .They are worthless – Palmyra was very good example and now this .
I think there needs to be more Iranian militia in Syria for a 6 month period or so, these are pivotal times and can’t lose territory this easily. preferably Homs-Hama border, just to clear that area and then they can go back to wherever they want to. I am not a big fan of the Iraqi militia, during the liberation of Aleppo, they found it hard to take Sheikh Sa’eed. Maybe because it was well defended and trying to save manpower or simply a tactic of moving forward and retreating since the enemy was surrounded.
NDF is too corrupt . They are not like Hezbollah . They dont have any motivation .

I (and others) have been saying over and over again: The MOST IMPORTANT thing is to decimate the jihadi manpower – to kill as many jihadis (and supporters) as possible. Especially since, the Syrian government side itself is short of manpower. That is why allowing surrounded jihadis to leave safely with their lives and weapons to join other jihadis, recuperate, reorganize, rearm and then return to attack again, was and is a VERY BAD IDEA. That is why agreeing to ceasefires whenever you are about to destroy a large front of the enemy somewhere, was and is a VERY BAD IDEA. That is why allowing large enclaves and “pockets” of jihadis to persist in the middle of your core territory, was and is a VERY BAD IDEA. But everytime we say these things, IDIOTS on this website pop up saying it’s a great idea to let jihadis retreat to Idlib unmolested; that Sun Tzu said to leave an opening for the enemy; that Great Chessmaster Putin Knows What He’s Doing with the ceasefires and wooing Erdogandog, etc., etc., etc.

I agree and it might seem idiotic to us, but maybe the generals and commanders on the ground know better. At least I hope so. Maybe forcing them to fight to the last jihadi would be rather costly in terms of casualties. But who knows. I hope its for the better.
