Following the liberation of the key town of Busra al-Harir as well as the district of Lajat north of it, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the Tiger Forces have continued their advance against Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) and its allies in the province of Daraa.
According to the Syrian state-run news agency SANA, government forces have also liberated the village of Malihat al-Atash and advanced in the direction of the villages of al-Hirak and Nahita.
“The source told SANA that army units, in cooperation with supporting forces, continued operations against Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists located east of Izra’a city, establishing control over the towns of Busr al-Harir and Malihat al-Atash, two of the terror organization’s strongholds in the area.
The source said that engineering units are clearing the two towns of landmines and explosives, as combat units are fortifying their positions in them in preparation for advancing against terrorists in nearby areas,” the SANA said.
The ongoing government advance is actively supported by air and artillery strikes.
The SANA’s source said that the SAA and the Tiger Forces have seized a large number of weapons and equipment, including battle tanks and BMP vehicles, from militants. According to earlier reports, the Tiger Forces have captured 5 battle tanks.
At the same time, pro-militant sources attempt to deny the recent gains by the SAA. However, their claims go contrary to photos and videos appearing online.

Whenever the SAA takes a place it is “liberated,” while if the SAA’s enemies takes a place it is “occupied.” Given the Rebel’s splintered organization, the Jordanian’s closing of the border, the Israeli’s lack of preference as to who controls the border (as long as tgeir side is secure), and the SAA’s brutal and unsympathetic tactics the fact on the ground in Daraa is that “humanitarianism is an illusion,” and “there is no humanity anywhere.”
