Pro-government forces, led by the Syrian Army Tiger Forces, have made more gains during their advance on the ISIS stronghold of Maskaneh in the province of Aleppo.
Since the liberation of the strategic Jirah Military Airbase from ISIS earlier this month, the Tiger Forces and their allies liberated a large area south of the airbase advancing on the road to Maskaneh.
On Saturday, the Tiger Forces took control of the Thaletha farm and the abandoned railroad station. The railway service was a key component of the logistic in pre-war Syria. However, since 2011, the railway network has collapsed in a major part of the country.
Now, government troops are advancing in the direction of Ras al-Ayn andd Sakarryah, the last villages located on the Syrian army road to Maskaneh. However, government forces will likely attempt to isolate the town before storming it.
EXCELLENT ADVANCE BY TIGERS ! DAESH trash at Maskanah will be flanked from the west
Agreed, and its a wonderful sight…
SAA should also take all the west area and is not very populated areas, therefore should not be very difficult to take over but also cut the ISIS from water
Water has nothing to do with it. ISUS problem is now: Lack of manpower, mobility and munitions. Good news !
wrong, water and food is also strategic assets
The western body of water is a saline lake… not very useful, and while the terrority there has been used in the past to launch assaults against Khanaser and threaten the road access to Aleppo, these days the threat has faded to near-zero as ISIS is focused on defense and lacks the ability to conduct offensives
I disagree with you. More area under SAA control than larger buffer zone. In addition, prevent ISIS to water and food assets.
Its very nice really I love it, the strategy of encircling is really good, as opposed to one dimensional frontal assault which can be rather foolish, however the encirclement/pincer maneuever really solves those problems, its a verybgood military strategy :)))) I wish SAA a very easy time retaking maskaneh
