On September 27, a top commander of the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Rojda Felat, claimed in a video statement that 100 ISIS members dressed as SDF members have attacked the SDF.
The incident allegedly took place on September 26 and the attack was conducted from the ‘regime-held areas’ (an area controlled by the Syrian government). The ISIS members reportedly came from some area near Deir Ezzor.
Felat added that this is a “sign” that the Syrian government supported the attack.
28 SDF members were allegedly killed in the clashes with ISIS.
Felat is a commander of the Kurdish Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), one of the Kurdish militias that are a core of the SDF.
The statement came few days after the Russian Defense Ministry released pictures of US Speical Operations Forces positions deep inside the ISIS-held area near Deir Ezzor city as well as provided info that no clashes had been observed between ISIS and the SDF there.

But the east bank of the city and river need to be secured so ISIS inside cant be resupplied. We know UN aid really means weapons inside trucks. Why are the so called SDF/ISIS so hell bent on controlling the river banks of the city other than to resupply terrorists inside it.
