A top ISIS member in Deir Ezzor has fled to an area controlled by the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the province of Hasakah, the pro-opposition media outlet Al Doras reported on October 3 citing own sources.
According to the report, Mohammed Obeid al-Muhsin (also known as Abu Kharja) joined ISIS in 2014. He was in charge for oil wells near Kashkia village.
However, recently Abu Kharja and his family fled to the SDF-held area.
The media outlet added that many mid-level ISIS members have fled from Deir Ezzor towards the Syrian-Iraqi border where the ISIS stronghold of al-Bukamal is located. However, at least a part of them has fled to the SDF-held area.
Cue accusations of grand Zio/US/Kurdish involvement with ISIS in three…., two…., one….
‘If it quacks like a duck and looks like a duck,it is a duck.’
You know better than that , they already had a rapist and his brothers who were running a checkstops into DE charging people money to get in there, join and become a commander and officers. This is looking to go into extra innings people seems like Russians are right the Americans are going to up the ante.
Anybody know of any other isis defectors? Crazy how now they decide no more… should be punished by death
It remind me the situation after World War II, when many top Natzi officers fled to US Army to give themselves up and to avoid Red Army capture. Later, many of former Natzi officers were transfered by CIA to USA to escape a trial for war crimes and later were used in had been coming Cold War….
The worst thing about that episode is they gained significant influence over the CIA from the inside. I don’t mind if SDF gets info from ISIS members, but I sure don’t want them ending up with internal influence like that time! That tail ended up wagging the dog!
fake news
‘Birds of a feather stick together’.
you can run but you cannot hide
He was late for the US chopper, left out and had to walk all the way to the safe house. Poor chap!
In Iraq’s Tal Afar 800 ISIS fled the area to the North , where they ”surrendered” to the Kurds. In Iraq’s Khawija 600 ISIS fled combat to join the Kurds in their “KRG” fiefdom. Same thing in Deyr es Zour , Kurds fraternize with their ”sworn enemies” ISIS , coming and going freely into Hasakah. Both pay their respects to Broadway , that’s the reason.
“Peshmerga forces, a military force of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, have executed a high number of ISIS members that had surrendered to or had been captured by Kurdish units north of the recently liberated town of Tal Afar in northern Iraq.”

True, but it was only done for the same reason that armies shoot traitors or defectors. The idea is that they stay and fight, and not just run for the nearest exit (a Kurdish outpost).
executed, or “rehabilitated?”
All the previous reports about ISIS members being evacuated by the US haven’t been picked up by the mainstream media. Obviously they want more proof and details. This report that names one of those involved is a step in that direction – although I don’t think it will be enough.
what a shocker
FLED? Picked up by cia chopper rather.
