U.S. President Donald Trump said that he ordered a strike on Iran, but then called it back when he learned that it could lead to a high number of casualties.
“We were cocked and loaded to retaliate last night on 3 different sights when I asked, how many will die. 150 people, sir, was the answer from a General. 10 minutes before the strike I stopped it, not proportionate to shooting down an unmanned drone,” Trump wrote on Twitter in the afternoon of June 21.
The U.S. President went on to say that he is “in no hurry,” and stressed that the tight sanctions on Iran will continue to prevent it from developing nuclear weapons.
“Iran can never have nuclear weapons, not against the USA, and not against the world!” Trump added.

The New York Times was the first to reveal that Trump had approved military strikes against Iran in retaliation for the downing of a U.S. surveillance drone, but called off the attacks at the last minute.
While Trump claims that the high number of expected casualties was behind his decision to cancel the strike, other factors may have played a bigger role in that shift. Iran vowed to respond to any attack by the U.S, which means that any strike was going to lead to a serious military confrontation in the Persian Gulf.
Trump’s vague statement doesn’t clarify if the U.S. has taken the military option completely off the table, or if it is now looking for a more limited response.
This sounds like double speak to me. What my guess is that really happened. Is that he ordered preparations for a strike. Which happens all of the time. And then called it off before it actually started. Without ever having actually ordered it to start. There’s a big difference. You’d have to see the actual orders to know what really happened. And those are classified. I also don’t take Trump’s Twitter comments to be an accurate representation of the truth.
If it did indeed happen as he claims. There would be a lot of unhappy people at the Pentagon responsible for calling back a strike in process on the other side of the world through the chain of command. I just find the whole episode to be a WWF style fake.

Some of the excitable kids or retarded “adults” who post baloney here don’t have a clue what a large air strike package looks like and how it is organized, specially in a hostile airspace defended by capable opponents like Iranians. The idiot Trump has now conceded that there were NO PLANES IN THE AIR, like I posted after hearing the Americunt liars. Having over 30 years experience in various combat aircraft, once a strike sortie takes off with hot weapons it can not be recalled. In any case, the Iranians have very good radars like Kolchuga and even the phased array BVR radars from Jask and Bandar Abbas cover over 300 miles. Even a Cessna 152 taking off from Al-Dafra whore base would have been picked up in nano seconds and the Iranians with layered defences would have shot down most of the aircraft. From my experience even a F-4E with a full weapons suite with 16,000 lbs of ordinance is very sluggish and can be taken down by AAA as its maneuverability is largely reduced. The Americunts are hot air and don’t have any great aircraft that can evade a S-300 or the hundreds of Mach 4-5 Iranians SAMS like Khordad 3 and 15 systems. Iran also has S-400 or Bavar 373. The dumbass Americunts would have flown into a shitstorm of SAMS and AAA.

The NYT version is highly suspect in my opinion. I voiced skepticism about it from the beginning. Fighters carrying out airstrikes on Iran aren’t going to be circling in holding patterns waiting for launch orders. It’s less than 10 minutes to where they would launch from where they taking off from at alot of the bases near Iran.

The U.S. expected the other plane (with a crew of 35) flying along with the drone to be shot down too, but the Iranians didn’t take the bait. The flight time from Al-Dhafra whore base across the Persian Gulf is barely 4-5 minutes at Mach 2, so a strike package simply can not be turned around, especially with the proven capability of Iranian air defences. In any case Iran has excellent ground intel assets in UAE and beyond to know every Americunt move. This proves that Iran did indeed issue two warnings to the crew of the P-8, and that the US responded to those warnings.

Real life operations do not happen this way. A plane can travel a long ways in 5 minutes. Crew size of an P-8 is 9, does not even have seating for 35, unless they are strapped to the air frame. We call this BS propaganda. Iran will endure and stay strong. :)

The Iranians warned them over 15 minutes before the strike, that they had entered Iranian airspace, and were about to do so again.
The Gulf is too narrow at many points to have any international airspace. It’s either Omani, UAE or Iranian airspace.

Other posters have pointed out to you that it is far larger than you insist. You refuse to admit the aircraft is based off a Boeing 767-400 which is the P-8 military version. It can carry up to 300 passengers in its airframe, so why the big lies from you as to its capacity.
