yup, this pretty much sums it up. When it comes to Middle East there are few doubts on this. Maybe I’m being naive but I still think that Trump was honest when he said certain things about the US not participating anymore in regime changes. That said, US presidents have families too, I don’t think we realize the kind of “pressure” he’s received.

I think you give the guy way too much credit. Only in that I don’t think it went that way, more like he was allowed into the inner circle. Or promised membership? at the very least granted it by his position.They did not want him, but they got stuck with him and had no idea what to do? They tried the stolen election Russia connections etc , but all they had to do in the end was let him into the club. Now he will dance to their tune and march to the agenda of the elite. When they said its an illusion of choice I thought maybe Trump would differ? Just as the odd man out. But in the end hes the same and there was no choice.
I don’t rly know how much credit he deserves. I haven’t really ever been a fan of the Donald – but he defeated Clinton, and that was the priority for everybody not establishment.
Since he took office, a number of things happened and most of them confirmed something that was already very much known – the US president really does not have any real power. Deep State, or the elites, or the establishment, call it what u will, effectively seem to have ousted all the members of his administration that were nominated to drain the swamp.
In the end, they couldn’t remove him without risking the people start asking too many questions but the agenda that Clinton would had enforced is still there, it did not change, and the support he now has in the executive and legislative branches is absymal.
