Trump Says Military Intervention In Venezuela Is "On The Table", Maduro Warns Of Latin American "Vietnam War"

On February 3rd, US President Donald Trump said that military intervention in Venezuela is “still an option,” during CBS’ Face the Nation.

“MARGARET BRENNAN: What would make you use the U.S. military in Venezuela? What’s the national security interest?

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Well I don’t want to say that. But certainly it’s something that’s on the- it’s an option.”

When asked if he would personally negotiate with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro to convince him to exit, Trump said that Maduro had requested a meeting “months ago,” but the US was “very far along the process,” at that point.

“Well he is requested a meeting and I’ve turned it down because we’re very far along in the process. You have a young and energetic gentleman but you have other people within that same group that have been very very – if you talk about democracy – it’s really democracy in action,” the POTUS said.

Now, when Venezuela is at a crisis point, Trump would possibly say the following:

“I would say this. I decided at the time, “no” because so many really horrible things have been happening in Venezuela when you look at that country. That was the wealthiest country of all in that part of the world which is a very important part of the world. And now you look at the poverty and you look at the anguish and you look at the crime and you look at all of the things happening. So, I think the process is playing out – very very big tremendous protests.”

In a lengthy interview for Spanish-language Salvados, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro spoke regarding the situation in the country and the US.

“Stop. Stop, Trump! Hold it right there! You are making mistakes that will leave your hands covered in blood and you will leave the presidency stained with blood,” Maduro warned during a combative interview with the Spanish journalist Jordi Évole. “Why would you want a repeat of Vietnam?”

Maduro disregarded the EU’s ultimatum saying that there will be elections in 2024 and people will be able to exercise their votes then.

“I do not refuse to call elections, there are elections in 2024. We do not care at all what Europe says about Venezuela, Europe that takes care of its problems such as unemployment or migration,” Maduro said.

“Why does the European Union tell a country in the world that already had presidential elections in accordance to its constitution, its laws, its institutions, with the international observers, that they have to repeat their presidential elections? Why? Because their right allies in Venezuela didn’t win,” he said.

The reporter then asked if the situation in Venezuela “ends badly,” would Maduro take responsibility?

The president of Venezuela claimed that the situation “will not end badly”: “We have experience of 20 years of struggles, we are really, a popular force with a historical character with a project and with the leadership of the country.”

In any case, Maduro affirms that, “for good or for bad”, he assumes “all responsibility”, for which he always tries to “act in good will”. Asked if the situation is likely to end in a civil war, the president of the country responds that “nobody can answer now with certainty, everything depends on the level of madness and aggressiveness of the northern empire.”

“The military option is on the table of Donald Trump, we have to prepare to defend the right to peace,” Chavez’ successor pointed out. “Thousands of innocent Venezuelans may end up paying with their lives,” the journalist urges Maduro, but the President responds that this will only happen “if the US empire attacks the country.”

To conclude the interview, Maduro denied any journalist arrests. He claimed that the problem is the existence of a “campaign” to make “look like Venezuela as a monster in a dictatorship”: “Any event that happens is magnified to add to the permanent campaign of slander and justify against our government and country anything that may happen.”

On January 30th, Nicolas Maduro published a video on Facebook in which he asks people from the world, and mostly the US to not allow Donald Trump to start another “Vietnam War” in Latin America.

LET US NOT ALLOW ANOTHER VIETNAM WAR IN MY HOMELAND

LET US NOT ALLOW ANOTHER VIETNAM WAR IN MY HOMELANDPeople from #USA, I ask for your support in order to reject the interference of Donald Trump's administration which intends to turn my Homeland into a "Vietnam war" in Latin America. Don't allow it!

On February 2nd, USAID Administrator Mark Green announced that the US is mobilizing and transporting humanitarian aid for Venezuela. This was also confirmed by US National Security Adviser John Bolton.

The Red Cross warned that there are risks with sending aid to Venezuela, without coordinating the effort with the country’s military. It could spark a provocation.

Earlier on the same day, Bolton tweeted that the US urges all Venezuelan military to follow defected Air Force General Yanez.

He also used the chance to urge the Venezuelan top brass to abandon ship and join US-proclaimed Interim President Juan Guaido. Added is a tweet by Eva Golinger.

John Bolton also suggested that Nicolas Maduro and his aides may end up in Guantanamo if they don’t accept Guaido’s offer of amnesty if the Venezuelan President steps down.

Meanwhile, US Vice President Mike Pence is going around the US attempting to gather more supporters for what is to come in Venezuela.

Aaaaaaaaand I’m about done with Trump. I wanted to believe it wasn’t business as usual, I wanted to believe the white hats who recruited Trump had some control, I wanted to believe he was playing 3d chess. He is better than traitors like Obama and Hillary.

Sick of his sh!t. It looks like you don’t have things under control Q.

#QAnon

STFU you ignorant impatient fickle piece of shit. God, you’re so stupid. Let’s see how you feel this time next year when you eat your words. Trust the plan dummy.

AJ

There is no plan all that Q nonsense is psyop just to give people false hope something was being done behind the scenes. Remember when Q said trust Sessions! yeah sure hes out the door. What happened to the alleged thousands of indictments!!

Meimou

Of course Q is a psyop, but psyops are not necessarily bad. the Qteam are Trump cheerleaders meant to boost morale. Trump not being the hero we thought he was doesn’t mean he is exactly like the others. He clearly isn’t. Some things are happening behind the scenes like CEO’s resigning….

But I think the greater plan is to slow things down a bit, not destroy America to fast.

Promitheas Apollonious

try and not stress so much your single cell retard, you cause it to over rev.

Vince Dhimos

I hope there are more like you out there.

Promitheas Apollonious

you mean what you said, when you are done with all politicians, as they are all the same…. same shit different name. Then you free your mind, to think correctly. Of course this is my personal opinion.

Derapage

Warning!

Unidentified Helicopters are deploying large numbers of ISIS terrorists along the Venezuelan border with Colombia and Brazil. The recent law of the Brazilian government about free firearms license it’s a a clear signal that the proxy war is on the way!

Promitheas Apollonious

I agree with what you say minus one part. The minions they are using in venezuela they know exactly what they are doing and why they doing it, so they dont need to wake up they doing what they do with their eyes wide open and in full knowledge as all traitors around the world do. If in doubt see what the politician puppets of the NWO doing in greece and compare it to what Guaido and stooges are doing in venezuela not much difference just different geographical location.

Gregory Casey

True but the fact is that majority of those protesting with Guaido and his neocon pals have NO idea that Guiado has already been negotiating with US on Venezuela selling off it’s state-owned Oil companies. They have no idea that Guiado and his backers have already agreed to sell the family silver (OIL) to US ……. Chevron most likely are first in line.

Promitheas Apollonious

You underestimating the knowledge of the people in venezuela for a simple reason. You consider yourself educated , civilize person unlike the poor venezuelans that dont know their ass from second base, so is not possible the natives to know what is coming against them.

The south americans have been under attack form the abomination of the zionist called USA for the last 200 years + so they know very well who this stooge of them is and why is done what is done. And stop confusing few thousand sold out traitors, with the population of venezuela. Same as many confuse the mercenaries send to syria with syrians that fight for their freedom against the tyrant Assad.

No offense mean to you with what I said just setting you on the right track of thinking.

Meimou

Will they fight back against US lead groups?

Promitheas Apollonious

is there a single nation that US attacked that have not beat their asses and force them to leave running with their tails between their legs? with the exception of their airforce and that only work against defenseless nation, or shooting missiles against civilian populated areas, their army not to mention their other shortcomings are a joke, especially their foot soldiers.

Now if the population of venezuela is going to fight at the side of their government is left to be seen. I believe they will.

Gregory Casey

I am actually in agreement with you and I think you misunderstand what I am saying. We should never underestimate the effects of propaganda circulating on social media and on TV particularly as 90% of all TV Stations in Venezuela are owned by private-sector oligarchs. Moreover, those same oligarchs own and control most of the food processing & distribution industries and so: who should be blamed for shortages in the shops? It’s not the Government that is hoarding stockpiles of ‘essential’ daily requirements of life: toilet paper(???), flour for baking bread, bread, oils used in baking ….. olive oil and grain-based oils and so on. It’s not the Government that imposes Sanctions on Venezuela causing the Country to be extremely short of cash but Countries outside whose Leaders then claim that shortages caused by their Sanctions-triggered lack of money and lack of trade are the fault of the Maduro Government and those who support the Bolivarian Republic. Moreover, while our media and Public Figures, Pols & TV Commentators from assorted think-tanks consistently tell their viewers & listeners that Maduro is a Dictator and that Venezuela is a Dictatorship they never explain or even acknowledge the fact that the Constituent Assembly has an anti-Government Majority. If Elections are not “Free and Fair” how can those same commentators ignore the fact that Guado and his co-conspirators were elected to the National Assembly in Elections run by Maduro’s Government and in which they gained a majority in that Assembly!! The hypocrisy of our Politicians and Media in Europe, America, Australia & parts of Latin America is rank. Some day I hope that stench kills them.

Sakaramanga

same in Turkey

Promitheas Apollonious

true. I feel sorry for the people who have no saying as to how they live and take care their families, in a state of fear even to speak their mind. But is not only greece and turkey is also the whole of the western countries the same.

Tommy Jensen

I you want peace you have to fight for it. Freedom is not just dropping down from heaven folks. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/6144f4b2a3a4d8a2ab6e23e8768df75be37b830f909686904d7e7066825d09a3.jpg

Aggression against Sovereign States is not “defending freedom”. It’s a War Crime. What the USA does is not “defending freedom”. It is an act of aggression against anyone who does not willingly submit to American hegemony.

Gregory Casey

Is that Venezuela and its Army I see stamping on the Stars & Stripes Tommy? Oh Lordy ……. I never thought I’d see the day when you’d be posting anti-American memes:) ))))

AJ

People have had enough of US freedom & democracy – its just another excuse to destroy a country

Promitheas Apollonious

And this coming from an expert of what slavery in its raw form is since you are an american. You living it since birth been a slave of the zionists thinking you are free because this is the extent they brainwashed all of you to think. You are more slave than the blacks living in the plantations there.

Tommy Jensen

The blacks in the cotton fields were happy man. The blacks has their small houses, their family and were feed and protected by their owner. The majority refused to be “freed”. Then some liberals like you arrived to “free” them into gay marriages and green clima women liberty equality s..t.

Promitheas Apollonious

LIBERALS LIKE ME…. now you really put your dirty feet in your mouth but then americans have a habit of doing so. it is like second nature to them and the real civilized world, must humor them and tolerate them, as the holywood educated uncivilized with a strong dosage of schizophrenia in all of you.

I could care less if lived in that era to fight for the blacks or would bother me if they was enslaved or not. O the other hand you are all slaves of the system you live under and is kind of funny how the blacks make all of you a second rate slaves now days. How times change dont you think? Kind of what goes around comes around.

Bob

USAID palettes about to be delivered to Venezuelan ‘opposition’ – what are chances of covert CIA weapons deliveries amidst them? Not like haven’t seen this routine before…

Tommy Jensen

Trojan horses still work…………….LOL.

Daily Beatings

You spelled peace wrong.

KennyB

Venezuela is another oil-rich country that has started moves to sell oil for currencies other than the US dollar. Iraq did the same. Utterly destroyed. Libya too. Utterly destroyed. Iran and Russia are also threatening the Petrodollar, but they are tough nuts to crack, so there the USA is employing economic warfare (sanctions) and propaganda. Venezuela is a softer target, but the involvement of China and perhaps Russia too means that it’s likely to be conducted as another proxy war with the USA using Colombia as its proxy.

All the bogus excuses do not disguise the facts. This is about the Petrodollar.

AJ

Unfortunately for Maduro hes facing an uphill struggle – its not like in Syria were Assad has Iran & Hezbollah to fight for him

Promitheas Apollonious

Who stopped to a degree what is happening to syria was the russians and not iran or hezbollah. They help a lot but the tipping point, of saving syria was the russian airforce and special forces who trained and organized the syrian army, as well acted as the deciding power to put nato on the withdrawal.

And maybe you missed it but china as well russia are already in venezuela and I dont think they are going any where anytime soon.

AJ

China or Russia may be huge business investments in Venezuela but they dont have battallions of soldiers ready to fight nor will they. Even Mark Sleboda on Crosstalk said Rusia simply doesnt have that kind of force projection – not in US own backyard. China certainly isnt going to fight. Perhaps they will provide technical assistance, training, or some equipment.

Promitheas Apollonious

You confusing countries helping venezuela with armies going into venezuela to fight their war. venezuela has 30 + million population that in their majority hate the guts of anything american and is their jungles and their backyards they defending. What the americans have beside few mercenaries? Just like in syria where it was not few but 100s of thousand of them with full support from nato and israel?

All venezuela need and have it is defending the country from the air force of their enemies and that they have. On the ground I am sure what ever goes in it will never come out alive.

AJ

Thats fine as long as the army supports Maduro but if we start to see defections in large numbers it could be over. Only 30% of the population voted for Maduro. The turnout in last election was 46% so a sizeable majority doesnt support him. In Libya the army & police backed down & we saw the result. I hope this coup attempt fails but we know the US wont give up once they set their mind on something.

Promitheas Apollonious

sorry for the delay answering had a long lunch. Yes 46% went to vote but that is not because the population is pro american or against Maduro. To understand why mass population stop voting you need to know them and understand them and the natives in Venezuela as in most south american countries most of them dont even have IDs sort of to speak let alone care to vote.

In Greece which is from one of the most politically fanatic countries I know off, almost half the population dont go any more to vote. All waiting for the war is coming to solve their problems with guns as all realize voting is a joke and it does not matter when you vote. Always what ever you vote the results is what your enemies want to be as they control everything. In venezuela is a bit different. Most people living in the country side have their own rule and their own understanding of life so they really dont give a sh*t about voting. But if one threaten their way of life then they will respond and not for political reasons but because all of them are patriots and love their motherland. So understand the difference and stop judging them as a westerner and understand the natives and the way they function.

Only slaves vote for masters to rule them. Free men rule themselves.

Compared to others Maduro has more than enough support.

Gregory Casey

While hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans protest with Guaido and his neocon pals on the streets of Caracas, Guiado has already been negotiating with US behind the Peoples backs on Venezuela selling it’s state-owned Oil companies ……. most likely to Chevron. There are reports from a week ago that this was the first thing Guiado offered his new American friends: Psycho-Bolton & Pimpeo. Meanwhile our lovely friendly Banks and IMF who are standing slavering in the wings are ready to impose enormous cuts to social programmes in education-for-all, supports for small farmers in rural areas, universal healthcare ……. the latter dependent upon US & European Drugs Companies actually providing Drugs, something they have refused to do for many months in fear of the psychopaths in the White House & State Department & CIA. The People of Venezuela have no idea that Guiado and his backers have already agreed to sell-out the entire Nation in return for US-backing them into power and ensuring they remain in place. Meanwhile the #CIA is making its best efforts to but off senior Military personnel ……. so far with little success but the mighty $$$$ is being flashed ’round and about the barrios so it is impossible to know when and if members of the Armed Forces will continue to support the Chavistas. According to Trump in his interview yesterday, in response to a question on whether he would agree to meet with President Maduro who has openly suggested they meet for many months, Trump told the world and confirmed that Nicolas Maduro had requested a meeting “months ago,” but the US was “very far along the process,” at that point so there was no point in any meeting. “VERY FAR ALONG THE PROCESS” ? What PROCESS? Of fomenting a Coup d’Etat

>>“Why would you want a repeat of Vietnam?”<<

Wrong, Maduro, wrong, the Spectre of Vietnam ship sailed long and no looms large in the US. Also in Vietnam the US fought a war against North Vietnamese insurgents, coupled with a bombing campaign of North Vietnam, which was heavily supported by the USSR with the latest in Soviet weaponry. No such conditions exist in Venezuela. So at best any US invasion of Venezuela will probably be more like Iraq, a brief conventional war, followed by the fall of the regime, followed by an insurgency. And Iraq and Afghanistan have shown that the US government can get away with such a war, as the casualties are not that high to create a popular backlash. And with the professional army only a small percentage of the population bears the brunt of these wars.

People should stop using Vietnam, like it still matters that much in US foreign policy and public perception. It no longer does. Find better scare mongering examples.

Vince Dhimos

“…coupled with a bombing campaign of North Vietnam, which was heavily supported by the USSR…” Did you fact-check this?

Barba_Papa

I meant a US bombing campaign on North Vietnam, while North Vietnam itself was being heavily supported by the USSR. Not that the USSR supported the US bombing campaign obviously. I take it that was your question?

Sinbad2

“in Vietnam the US fought a war against North Vietnamese insurgents”

NO in Vietnam the Vietnamese defeated a US invasion.

“People should stop using Vietnam, like it still matters that much in US foreign policy and public perception. It no longer does.”

The Vietnam war was so expensive that the US had to sell its gold reserves to try and protect the dollar. When the gold ran out, the US defaulted, but via the printing press it gave those it owed the gold to, IOU’s(US dollars). Here we are 50 years later and the US has printed so many dollars, that gold should be worth $30K.

The world is slowly but surely moving out of dollars, and like all runs, the pace will accelerate. So you should worry about Vietnam, that’s where you sowed the seeds of your own doom.

Tommy Jensen

A country who owns 25% of the world´s GDP is not someone you just “surely move out”. From the Roman Empire had the first serious defeats, it took 200 years before the demise were recognized.

Sinbad2

2 points, 1- the US GDP is the biggest, because it’s measured in US dollars, destroy the US dollar and the US is Mexico with an over sized ego. 2- Maybe you haven’t noticed, but things move more quickly these days, the Austro-Hungarian empire was wiped out in a few years, and the Carthaginian empire was eradicated from the face of the earth in weeks. The Romans were intelligent, Americans are just arrogant.

The collapse is happening right now, the US has to print money to stop the GDP from collapsing.

Barba_Papa

The Vietnamese did not defeat a US invasion, they got hammered time and time again. Tet offensive, immense military defeat that wiped out the Vietcong, placing the burden of the war solely on North Vietnam. 1972 offensive utterly smashed, 1972 Christmas bombing campaign bombed North Vietnam to the negotiating table. Vietnam won by being still left standing at the end, and they could only do so because of massive Soviet aid. Militarily it did not defeat the US.

Venezuela in no way whatsoever will resemble another Vietnam, because the existing conditions are utterly different, if only because China and Russia will not be funneling in massive amounts of military and civilian aid to keep the war going, because in case of war there will be no ports to funnel it into. Because in Vietnam the port of Haiphong was off limits to US ground troops due to being in another country and the strong presence of Soviet advisors limited US air power there as well. Its not going to reach Maduro’s forces from his neighboring countries, they’re all behind Guaido. So other then the initial invasion stage there will be no prolonged conventional fighting. If you think the highly politicized Venezuelan army can stand up to the US in a conventional war there is nothing further to discuss. That campaign will be relatively brief. That leaves only low intensity insurgency war, well, as Afghanistan and Iraq have shown the US can keep that up for like 18 years now.

That leaves only the dollar weakness, we’ll see how that plays out. I for one hope the dollar does collapse, but it might not be as fast as we all hope for. Sometimes things have quite some inertia left going for them. And I reckon a lot countries don’t want the dollar to collapse so they will bend over backwards to help prevent it from happening.

KennyB

Afghanistan and Iraq show that a lightly armed but highly motivated local militia can keep the US on the run for 18+ years, not the other way around. Yes, the US military can steamroller over just about any opposing force, most certainly including Venezuela. In all probability, just creating enough of a mess there is enough to prevent Venezuela from continuing to threaten the Petrodollar as was done in Iraq and Libya.

Barba_Papa

On the run? Hardly. The Americans did not lose their grip on what was most important, the cities and the roads linking them up. In every major engagements that the Taliban and Iraq insurgents went up against the Americans, they still lost. What they did accomplish was to deny the Americans victory. By remaining in the field as a viable force. As one American general said, the war is only over once the enemy says its over. No sooner. And in the case of Iraq the Americans did defeat the insurgents. The Surge accomplished its goal in that regard. The Jihadis were crushed and defeated as a viable force in the field. It wasn’t until ISIS invaded Iraq that a large Jihadi armed force capable of holding large swaths of Iraq rematerialized.

People keep saying that the US can’t win wars, but that is wishful thinking on their part. The US CAN win wars. It’s the political leadership however and the politicized Pentagon that keep mocking things up.

KennyB

Sure, but having defeated a country militarily, what’s next? Do you make it a colony or protectorate, or do you install a puppet government and maintain hegemony by proxy? I suppose the third option is to “bomb them back to the stone age” like Libya then, having created a failed state, step back and watch as the population tries to escape to Europe. As we’ve seen, the so-called “liberated” populations of countries that the US has defeated do not welcome their so-called liberators and thank them for bringing them “democracy”.

Anyhow, perhaps the real purpose IS to create chaos. Disaster Capitalists have found ways to take advantage of the situation. As long as you have US military personnel and sufficient mercenaries to provide “protection” you can proceed to strip the assets of the defeated nation and, if they are an oil producer, steal the oil and keep the profits.

Tommy Jensen

Vietnam is used because its the only battle where US were completely wiped out. How? By taking a kitchen knife and drive all Americans, dead or alive, out m2 after m2.

Barba_Papa

If anything Vietnam was the war where the US won almost every battle and defeated its initial adversary, the Vietcong. Vietnam was not lost on the battlefield and I doubt that North Vietnam could have won if it weren’t for the massive influx of high tech Soviet weaponry. For free. That war was lost on the homefront, and if Iraq and Afghanistan have proven anything the US can now fight a low intensity insurgency war for a very long time without suffering the homefront breakdown.

hvaiallverden

I dont even care what this scums say, its whats been done so far that is more intresting, the level of downright pissing us in the face is obvious, the same lame scrap book on coups, even more obvious, and do notise witch countrys that in fact suports this, “not intervining anywhere” western politics, witch we all know is run from/by the pirats on the Potomac, in the district of criminals in the imperial banana republic UssA, and the vassals are of course jumping as they can to satisfy the war mongrels in the open asylum Washonton, lead by PentaGoons, and on top of it, demands that we should belive anything they say, yeah, it must be something in the tap water, I cant think of anything else, they are simply so rotten its an miracle they are capable to stand straight.

Sweden, yeah, the milticultural paradise, EuroCrauts yapping from an god forsaken Beliga, from an EU-comision not even elected we get what, an insult to any living thinking human intellegence and knowlledge, and Then gibberish from an side that have managed to take hypocrasy to new and unpresedented hights, the litte freak in France, MaCrony something, giving the finger to his own people while drooling something about respecting the woice of the crowd, yup, what could possibly go wrong. And do notise tha insane amount of propaganda in the MSM, the same type of propaganda ariticles, the same people comenting, suporting of course humansing anyone back to the stone age, for peace, of course, and you cant differentiate between whom is left or right in this, just like before, in Syria, in Libya, in Yemen, in Afganistan, etc. Its an wall of bollocks, never ever forget that, the MSM lies about everything, all the time.

And then to some others, whom by now should be jumping in their seats, because this new and honking imperialism will eventually crawl into the African continent. They can steal anything, from anywhere and get away with it, because might is right, and you dont have any, the second fact is economic, and thats control of resources, Mali is an ex. on what France is doing in Africa, the election was smouth, even the Tuaregs happy, in fact it was an good thing, finaly for the people of Mali, and then what happened, they desided to nationalise their own recourse and control it so it would benefit the people of Mali, and Mali have one thing they all want this days, and like Venezuela, and thats Gold. We live in medival times, on an grand theft auto, the steroid version.

We need an revolution. Hang em all. Then we will have peace, not an second before, freedom is never been given, freedom always must be fought for, never ever forget that, incl Blacks, this time, brothers and sisters, its all up to you, dont white ass me, I have warned you for f…. decades. To the refugees, sooner or later, by force or consent, you will be thrown out, right now, protected by the scums in charge, when that day ends, you life will change, do the right thing, go home and take the fight, or be thrown out. And in France, and I mean be the constitution, when the day comes YOU have the Gov, whatever the previous one did, you can eraze it entirly, and that even legale, since You are the Gov. they know this is the, for them, the ugly truth, and I know it, and now even you, never ever give up or give in, to compromize is to loose, and they always play dirty. Blessed be the peacemakers.

peace

======================================= https://www.naturalblaze.com/2018/03/71-percent-military-age-americans-too-sick-join.html

71% of Military Age Americans Too Sick to Join, Study Says

By Brandon Turbeville, Natural Blaze

The United States is now facing a security crisis the likes of which it has never faced before. Although we are awaiting the attempts to blame it on them, it’s hard to see how the State Department or the corporate media can pin this on on the Russians.

According to a new study by the Heritage Foundation, nearly 71% of young U.S. citizens are ineligible to serve in the military. To be more specific, out of 34 million people, between the ages of 17 and 24, more than 24 million are unable to join the military. Sixty percent of those ineligible to join are ineligible due to health problems or physical fitness. Around one-third are too obese.

Indeed, 27% of young Americans are “too overweight for military service.”

“The obesity issue is the most troubling because the trend is going in the wrong direction…by 2020 it could be as high as 50%,” said Major General Allen Batschelet, former Commander of U.S. Army Recruiting Command “back in 2015, “which means only two in ten would qualify to join the Army.”

Other common health concerns are hearing and eyesight problems, asthma and mental illness.

The study also shows that a quarter of those unfit for military service, are due to intelligence factors and are unable to complete their high school education and lack a “basic understanding of written and cognitive skills…to complete an organized program.”

The research points out that these individuals are considered unfit despite the fact that the military routinely accepts people who do not complete their high school education and “rarely pass the armed forces qualification test.”

Another 10% were ineligible due to a criminal record.

The national security issue comes to play when one realizes that this stunning commentary on the intellectual, mental and physical health of the United States will lead to a very serious shortage of recruits for the military, meaning that the U.S. military will suffer from a lack of manpower.

All ready, the U.S. Army is having a hard time meeting its 2018 goal of enlisting 80,000 volunteers.

Army Major General Malcolm Frost, Commander of the Army’s Initial Military Training Command, publicly stated in 2017, that “I would argue that the next existential threat that we have… is the inability to man our military.”

One highly important point to mention, is that the southern states, who have traditionally supplied the military with the largest amount of recruits, are experiencing even more concerning health issues than their Northern and Western counterparts.

South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee and Texas are “significantly less fit, and consequently are more likely to encounter training related injuries and recruits from other U.S. states,” according to recent research conducted by the Citadel, the U.S. Army Public Health Center and the American Heart Association.

The southern states mentioned above make up more than 37% of new recruits.

Thus, Americans’ poor health, dropping IQ and mental instability have reached such a proportion that it is now a national security issue.

While there are many other factors at play in regards to national security and the ability to man the military, such as an expansive military presence across the world and a constant state of warfare – America must begin to make drastic changes in its food supply, healthcare and culture unless it wants to do to itself what no outside power is capable of doing.

Venezuela became from the richest – the poorest country in SA, so the worst scenario is Maduro to stay longer than another year. He dreamed Chavez as a bird that told him that he’s the legitimate successor so in case you dream a bird you know it’s Chavez which is God.

Smaug

He’ll go out like Noriega. Once Washington gets off their butts Socialism will be forgotten within a week.

Real Anti-Racist Action

Why not send the FARC rebels tens of thousands of modern weapons, a few million dollars and 50 teams of special forces to counter the US. Now that would be a ‘real’ Vietnam against the Zionist forces of evil.

Gregory Casey

Apparently, the FARC are already organizing in the mountains lying in the borderlands between Colombia and Venezuela with a view to pouring into Venezuela in the event that US & usual suspects try anything.
