Currently the United States is looking to seize gasoline aboard the next group of Iranian tankers bound for Venezuela, after the last delivery by five sanctions-busting tankers last month were successful despite being accompanied by similar US threats.

President Trump on Friday signaled the US is indeed about to “move” on Venezuela and its sanctions thwarting activities with the help of ‘rogue states’ like Iran. He told the Spanish-language American channel Noticias Telemundo on Friday that—
“Something will be happening with Venezuela” and that the United States will “be very much involved.”
The president was also asked about the future of election in the country, especially related to US-backed opposition leader and self-styled ‘Interim President’ Juan Guaido.
Trump said the US would “take care of the people of Venezuela” and ultimately support whoever was legitimately elected. But of course, it remains that the US deems any support to Nicolas Maduro by definition “illegitimate”.
The interviewer, Jose Diaz-Balart, asked Trump point-blank: “For you, Venezuela, is it Guaido, is it Maduro, is it U.S. intervention?”
Trump said in response:
“It’s freedom for their people. It’s freedom. Venezuela was a rich country 15 years ago, and it’s been destroyed by two people, but a system, a horrible system. … And something will happen with Venezuela. That’s all I can tell you. Something will be happening with Venezuela.”
And when pressed over precisely through what route this “something big” will occur in Venezuela, Trump responded:
“We’ll be very much involved.”
“We’re going to take care of the people of Venezuela,” Trump emphasized.
Since last year the president has reportedly been pressing his generals and admirals on enacting some kind of naval blockade off Venezuela’s coast.
However, top Pentagon leadership has reportedly been by and large against the idea, citing the impracticability of such an operation, and likelihood of unnecessary escalation without clear overall goals of how far US military force would be willing to go against pro-Maduro forces.
Washington reportedly does have naval ships in the Caribbean Sea, however, to crack down on what the White House previously described as Maduro’s “narco-trafficking” as well as illegal sanctions-busting activities.
This US warmongering was always on the cards and a response from Iran and Venezuela will have been planned for.
Trump is politically desperate for a war, any war will do.
He might just get one.

The Russian had already send they specialist to help the Venezuelan military’s in they equipments repairs and setting up air defence and coastal defense,if needed but now I could see early rada plane being deployed and few s-300,I could even see a Rusian base being build there after the deal was not to be in cuba with nuclear weapons it never say Venezuela and the US government didnt respect the deal since Turkey still hold nuclear weapons in they soil for tu United states of America government…The world need peace but it’s getting more dangerous everyday since there’s a group who just seek to control all .

This doesn’t sound good. It seems to me the Iranians are seeking a confrontation The US media is diffusing the message that Iran has backed down after the assassination of Soleimani. But Iranian actions say the exact opposite. Should the US sieze those ships, Iran is certain to retaliate by seizing and equal quantity of American-flagged oil transiting the gulf. This may lead to a clash with the US navy. None can say how it’ll end. Trump doesn’t want a war right now. War will mean political suicide for him. The US government is currently working with the government where theses four ships originate to stop the shipment so America won’t have to impound the ships and lock horns with Iran. They are probably trying to bribe the ship’s captain to navigate to another location just like they tried with the last five ships. We’ll see how this plays out, but it’ll be a mistake to impound the ships.
Iran is not seeking confrontation by engaging in legal trade, they have every right to sell gasoline to Venezuela. Its the US thats taking an aggressive approach if they stop those tankers on the open sea.

I can just hear the announcement now, Ayatollah Khamenei as a gesture of goodwill to the American people has just agreed not to abide by all U.S. sanctions and not export any oil so that oil revenue will not be $0. This includes banning food and refinery exports to Venezuela.
