On September 15, the Turkish military deployed six M60 battle tanks, ten armored vehicles and a command vehicle at its observation posts in the towns of Shir Maghar and Eshtabraq in the al-Ghab Plains and the northwester part of Idlib governorate, according to the Syrian news outlet Enab Baladi.
Turkey established Shir Maghar and Eshtabraq observation posts on May 14 and 16. The establishment of these posts was a result of the Astana process, which is led by Russia, Turkey and Iran.
Two days ago, Turkey made a similar move deploying battle tanks in its observation point in the town of Murak in the northern Hama countryside. Back then, Turkish and Syrian opposition sources told the Reuters news agency that Turkey is reinforcing all of its observation posts in Idlib in order to deter the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies.
In the last few weeks, Turkey began taking measures to prevent the SAA and its allies from launching a military operation against the remaining militants in northwestern Syria. These measures included organizing pro-Turkey demonstrations throughout Idlib and boosting its weapon supplies to the militants there.
Yesterday I went to see the pro rebel twitter regarding the demonstration in Idlib and boy what a laugh I had. These people are so delusional – they believe that “rebels” will win the war.It is like they are living in alternative universe.Whoever wants to have laugh check them
because they believe that fucus will fight for them against the russians. from the looks of it they may have right.
Erdogan certainly seems to be showing his hand. We will certainly hope this is just for show, but that’s not what my intuition tells me.
mine either
nooooooo the russians will stand down…just like each time when the israelis attack… u people are crazy here
The IsraHellis are doing Business with China at the Moment & Dumping the U.S.A…which has lost its Global Dominance… The King is Dead… Long live the King…
well…….. this people are very comfortable that are not U people so lets call it even.
are u stupid????ß the rebels are TURKEY moron!!! and putin will stand down when battle between turkey and saa develops on orders
Raqqa gone, Idlib gone.
Looks like the Turks are opening a Tank Museum. Lol
soon to be scrap metal!
Worth a few bob.
how soooon?
Or the Turks want to keep a supply line to their Headchoppers…and a line of Defense so that their Headchoppers can’t cross the Border into Turkey…because they certainly don’t want them in Turkey….this will End in Turkey shooting it’s own Headchoppers when they are on the Run for the SAA & Allies right?
u are 100% wrong…… turkey will fight SAA…..russia will not interfere…….
We will see..maybe you are right…maybe I am… I’ll keep it in mind…. Perhaps China will be the New Emperor and all the Deals are already made…many things are still a possibility and not a fact…I say Turkey will be on the Syrian side in the End…the Ace of Spades…they have a long shared Border… both Syria & Turkey don’t want too much trouble on that border…both will prefer Security….
Are you SURE? My son, of, a bitch, let me inform you, for your sanity that Russia have more than say 300 options how to fuck up Turkey inside out.
R they finally going into idlip or what?
hahahah… iwas right allll the way…… say ty to just 1 person…putin…
You’re little wahhabi goat fucker, and you’ll scream like a bitch, when it gets all done.
The Turks may have a lot of equipment but they don’t have much of an army. Erdogan purged most of his best leadership after the attempted coup. Turkey is deeply in debt and very vulnerable economically. Russia can tighten the noose at any time.
This turkish force would be obliterated in battle. They are symbolic, and says “idlib militia, do not seek reconciliation. turkey will negotiate for your independence and separation from syria”.
Obviously, the US threat to cross the euphrates and take deir ezzor was the real reason russia and syria are not attacking idlib. But turkey doesn’t want to miss the opportunity to take all the credit for stopping the idlib offensive. they want to hide the fact that turkey has become irrelevant, and the US and Russia are the ones deciding the fate of syria.
All these tanks will meet at a central location soon and make a leap for Damascus. Just south of Morek, they’ll pool before leaving for the grand scheme. Heheh. Where’s Macron? He could help ..
