Turkey Deploys Special Operations Forces In Afrin Preparing For ‘New Phase’ Of Operation In Afrin

Support SouthFront

Turkey has deployed special operations forces in the Syrian area of Afrin signaling a “new phase” in its operation against Kurdish militias operating there. According to reports, the Gendarmerie Special Operations (JÖH) will be tasked with carrying out urban warfare against the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG).

“The deployment of the special forces is a sign of preparations for the new struggle looming ahead. Our struggle is currently ongoing around villages in rural areas away from the city center [of Afrin]. This operation will move towards places where civilians are situated as the battlefield is narrowed,” Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag said during a TV interview on February 26.

“Turkey has vast experience conducting its anti-terror fight in residential areas without harming civilians, just as it had observed during the Euphrates Shield Operation,” Bozdag said hinting the Turkish military operation against ISIS in northern Aleppo in 2016. “That is why we plan to use our experienced special forces from the police, gendarmerie and army in that region. We are exerting our efforts to accomplish our objective by eliminating all terrorists without harming civilians.”

The official added that Operation Olive Branch will continue despite a UN Security Council resolution envisaging a 30-day nationwide ceasefire in Syria. He added that the ceasefire does not apply to ISIS, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and other terrorist groups. Ankara describes that the YPG is a terrorist group also.

I really like this news. There is nothing better than sitting down and watching as they attack and destroy each other two known enemies and treacherous Syrians. And much more if those events come to frustrate the perverse plans of the Americans for Syria.

nicolas s

If you are right then the kurds need to fight for their independence and assad is just another dictator. Hopefully assad care for all syrians

Promitheas Apollonious

kurds are not syrians and have abused, the hospitality the country given them in the worst possible way by biting the hand that feed them and kept them safe.

In short is the worst side of the coin compared to a turk though in my mind is hard to separate one shit from the other.

nicolas s

Hospitality of the country, don’t make me laugh. Those borders are just line on a map drawn by western colonists. If assad cant forgive the kurds who never fought his army, then hes no better than erdogan

Luna

No body gave you the chance that Erdogan did And what did you do in return ? You abused it, filled the Eastern citiies of Turkey with anti tank and anti personel mines, snipers, dochkas, mortars, rpg s. . Now it is time to pay back.

Jens Holm

Thats not started by erdogans but in 1923.

taking stolen rights back is not stealing. If so, bankrobbers should keep their money as well.

The low level negosiation down 8 hardly could change the color of toiletpaper. No wonder they went beserk.

You have jailed 15 PM`s checked in both ends many times moderate Kurds given 7(5) million votes. You have removed so many elected small town majors.

And who belive anything from turkey anymore, when You have world record in jailed journalists as well as closed or destroyed news sites.

We see it every time Erdogan, Ilderim and like that are here. When they come home in Turkish TV, we hardly recognize, what it was about.

Its not their fault, but their little dirty beards remind us of many small Hitler clones. And then we smile: Erdogan named dutch and Deutch as nazis and AKPs are just clones like Dolly.

Luna

Sorry man . You lack correct chronography of events.Hard to discuss with the people who lack correct flow of events especially when they push bits and pieces from MSM here.

dutchnational

Did Nicolas do all of that?

The naughty man.

btw, please show me any pic of Dushka’s held by kurdish forces within Turkey. There are none in Turkey held by PKK forces.

Luna

Nope. Nicolas is more likely a victim, not a villain.

Many many more in case of further request.

May be you should read to learn , not to reply.

Promitheas Apollonious

you said it boy k-turds not syrians.

nicolas s

Get off your pedestal. Syrians is made of many different origins

Jens Holm

No, he did not. The main problem is, that the old Syrian Region was moved north, where the kurds has lived longer then Turks as well as Arabs.

By that Syria in stead lost Jordan, Phalestine and half of israel.

You are either very stupid or hard censured by nationalisme of the worst kind. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/70303aa4641b668ea862bda2169c2a52311e2e02afde2e39cea00cf835643c0d.jpg

Promitheas Apollonious

the only stupid here is you kid. Get educated and as I said kurds are not syrians just the scum of the earth not unlike the turks. Just because they suck Usrael c*ck does not give them any special rights in the country that accepted them in.

Feudalism Victory

Kurds arent syrians then get mad when they dont sacrafice themselves for the syrian ARAB republic. Your stupid too.

Kira Binkley

True Muslims sacrifice themselves for God only. Not men. It is called: “For the sake of Allah”. And that is because men are fallible; only God is ALWAYS right.

Feudalism Victory

And yet most of these true muslims depend on other people to interpret and explain gods will to rationalize their actions.

Very strange to me and inconsistent.

Kira Binkley

Unlike Christians, you mean.

Feudalism Victory

Not at all. Its all quite baffling and hypocritical. Islamic guys are much more violent and intolerant though.

Kira Binkley

You are so incredibly WRONG! Perhaps it is the European inability to think rationally that has influenced you.

Feudalism Victory

Huh rational thinking is a result of greek(and therefore european thinking). At least according to my history. Islam on the other hand.is nothing more than blind submission right? Obey allah and his preachers and don’t think more than that ie irrationally.

Fascinating. Quite the opposite. The faith is strong with you.

Kira Binkley

1. Again you are so incredibly wrong. God/Allah gave the Arabs the gift of clear thinking and desire for fairness. That is why they could never buy into the Christian concept of a being who was part God and part Man, yet allowed himself to be brutally murdered so THEIR sins could be forgiven and THEY could get to heaven. 2. And yet this is the very most Christian concept that appealed to the gentiles and the German barbarians. Those same “barbarians” that I call “unquestioningly loyal head-butters”. For them, a sacrifice was the ultimate test of loyalty. You know of course that those Germans could never accept Christ’s message of love and forgiveness. Loving your enemies and turning the other cheek had to be attributes that couldn’t fit their paradigm, exactly. “Love my enemies? What? Are you out of your freakin’ mind?” These men are the same men who would just as soon cleave your head into two parts as reason with you. I believe that is because not only could they not make sense conversing with another man who was as sure of his own “convictions” as they were of theirs, and the fact that Indo-Europeans are innately slow and plodding thinkers. In fact, Thomas Aquinas was called “The Ox” for precisely that reason. Read Averroes, then read Aquinas, and you will see what I mean. Yet, these attributes of Indo-Europeans have accomplished much in the world; they are “Men to match my mountains”, as Sam Walter Foss called them, in his poem “The Coming American.” 3. At the same time, this “unquestioning loyalty” has nearly caused the destruction of civilization. No one can deny that.—– KiraSeer

Kira Binkley

And the other character attribute of the Indo-Europeans that greatly offends Me—or should I say “Us”—is their arrogance. The arrogance that drives them to make unwarranted assumptions, and to believe that their religion, or their culture, or their political institutions, are superior to any other peoples. I am now trying to “reason” with you; you need to do more research into Islam, and to remember that Christianity is (no longer) in competition with Islam. Unless you want it to be.

Feudalism Victory

“Reason” in quotation marks indeed. I think your just a racist using religon as a justification for your feelings of superiority.

Although we can agree on the essential craziness of christianity.

Kira Binkley

Really? It is not crazy, especially. Just illogical and contradictory. But the inconsistencies were needed at one time. But now Christians should start paying attention to Christ’s message, and not his “sacrifice.”

Kira Binkley

Who do you depend on, FV?

Feudalism Victory

We all die alone. I depend on myself. God doesnt give a shit.

Kira Binkley

I think it is YOU who doesn’t give a shit. And if you don’t give a shit, why should God/Allah?

Feudalism Victory

Good point. Im just as happy to stay out of the all powerful entities way. I think his attention isnt benign.

Kira Binkley

It is humans whose intentions are not always benign.

dutchnational

Well, he did create man. Maybe an oversight?

Kira Binkley

Please don’t tell me that you, like John Wesley, believe “man” was conceived in sin and “shapen in wickedness”. Please don’t tell me that. When I realize that some Christians, most in fact, if not all, believe that doctrine, I tell them: “Do you actually believe God created a worthless piece of crap? Because that is what you just said.” Muslims could never believe that God/Allah, in his wisdom, could create something wicked.

Jens Holm

Some is a railroad line as well. Kobane comes from Bahne, which says railroad in german.

dutchnational

Company Bahne = > Kobane.

Railroad build early 20th century by Germans.

Luna

It is Ayn El Arab.

Kira Binkley

And all this time I thought it was Ayn Rand.

Luna

Well, thats a Jew I like. Nothing to do with Kurds though.

Luna

Not exactly.

Ayn El Arab station was a part of Ottoman Bagdat / Berlin railroad Project. The workers were mostly from Suruç town , which is today with in Turkish borders. When they were going to the contruction site , they were telling that they were going to the company – This is where Kobani comes from. ‘Bahne’ is not the part which the name is derived from. Company Bahne didnt exist then. If I am not mistaken , the undertakers of the Project were Krupp and Holsman.

Rüdiger Preiss

Whatever the status of the Kurds, we certainly can agree that Turkey has entered Syria uninvited, therefore is leading an aggressive war. They have no business there, full-stop.

Christian Gains

I don’t think ANY of those other Countries should be there unless invited…It’s the RIGHT, & ONLY Syria’s RIGHT to invite foreign troops to enter Syria…It SEEMS to me that the Kurds have fought to protect Syria, AND they’re Territory, BUT! I could be wrong…What I know of this WAR is that the Kurds fought against ISIS, as well as several other RADICAL groups…Isn’t that true?

Ronald

All Syrians had to fight ISIS, unfortunately the Kurds allowed the real enemy of Syria the USA on to Syrian soil.

Jens Holm

You forget kurds were nothing and are new players and before thatwere no Syrian soldiers, few and not armed.

Only a few 10.000 refugees are from the SDF area and most of the 3 million refugges in turkey were there before Kurds were helped up as a force.

Many will say, that if ISIS had the SDF xone of today for free, they would have moved Assads away before Russians came in thats.

But You are right writing that Assads were enemy number one and USA do insist in reducing Assads, because Russians block for removing or replacing the corrupt regime of oilgrabbers from the poor from Damaskus.

And You do respect that dictators systematicly jail, torture, kill and gas should go on with that supported by Russians. And You dont see the only possible opposition by that are the violent jihadists not afraid for, and that result is made by Assads – and certainly not kurds or/and SDF.

So where is Your alternative for Kurds. All should be killed in Syria or all should be in refugee camps in turkey. Afrin is said to have/had 180.000 kurds and 120.000 refugees. Those should be moved to Turkey and other Syrians schould be there in refugee camps – millions or what ?

Rüdiger Preiss

Whilst the Kurds fought ISIS they didn’t do so for Syria but to establish their own country, mostly in areas where the Kurds are clearly in minority or not present at all. in short, they were land grabbing under US’s protection.

Jens Holm

Thats biased a lot. Before the war -not by them -they prefared Autonomes. And under the war they named it country because of Turkish pressure.

Their program is not about a new country but develloping their poor part by decentralized decissions by public elected members in a % mix also having a t least 1 member from the smallest minorities.

Thats normal for more develloped countries. You make decissions where the things are and not far away as in Damaskus. You also finance it by own tax. In Denmark 55% of the budget are in counties. Being there also make much better corruption control. I and out is shorter.

They se all as equal in sekularisme having the same conditions for most things and fx no sharia or assads in it. That include the women waste must stop. A country need their brains as well as their hands and feet.

We see it here again getting in Syrian refugees. We hardly can use the men for anything and the women are lower almost being kept a animals by the men.

Thats what they want and You can see it in their programmes. Its not abput country. Those which were like that are not there or out of influence or refugees in fx turkey. PKK is reduced to almost nothing as well. The figtings for making that part of Syria more clean for Turks systematicly are drowned in Turkish propaganda incl. they are murders killing each other and even genoside.

Turks and many Assads systematicly operate with ancient data as well. Turkmen too telling Kurds only are low life farmers. many kurds are/were urbanized and are poor workers becaue Syria has urbanized too.

But the logic way should have been those poor people – not only kurds – should have been helped into modern agriculture and in this also much more effective irrigation and planting systems incl. some forest here and there.

So its very much about being poor and as a contrast have no posibilities to change that fx by getting their % part of the oil money.

The oilgrabber before the uprise were Assads and friends. so ISIS did not take the oil from the Syrians but the Assads. Kurds did not take any oil from the Syrian population, so the jumping up and down in Damaskus is for SDF`s want to share all oil in all Syria.

dutchnational

The north and north east has been used by the Assads and their cronies as an internal colony for two generations.

Investments there were only to extract resources like oil and gas and to provide cheap staple foods for the richer part of Syria. All investments in industry were opposed unless unavoidable. There were hardly any investments in higher education, sanitation, roads etc. Poverty was way above average there.

This applied to kurdish areas, but also towards the tribal arab areas of the region.

Joe

So what they fought ISIS …. they think they fought ISIS then the land belongs to them … So stupid only a kindergarten child will think so.

If So SAA would have fought the Kurds from the start.

Kira Binkley

I believe it was al-Baghdadi (you know, THE Baghdadi) who was able to hold Syrian land for President Assad until the FSA could get there. Then made a decent withdrawal. Things have surely changed.

Rodney Loder

Very true, and rewards are not meaningful if only terrestrial. So Brother Baghdadi will surely find his die site at the end of the stretch in the rope, if he is ever apprehended, and even though victims will never grieve for him the stretch of ignorance will not effect his relevance.

Kira Binkley

His one mistake is he forgot Allah’s continuing influence on Destiny. He wanted to do what he thought Allah wanted; “The Drawn Sword of Allah”. But one thing for sure, he never turned his back on Allah, no matter what happened. I have felt a bravery in him I have felt in no other man.

You can call me Al

your picture looks OK, but I bet you are a right old minger in reality; therefore please F.O.

Jens Holm

Thats what I say too. Why make full scale war in a zone with relative peace and allowed by Assads, where we probatly wont see Turks leave again after smashing new areas of Syria.

Joe

Well that is better than the Kurds with US in there …. Turkey can be more easily handled compared to US with Kurds.

Turkey has said they respect Syrian sovereignty .. how truthful they are is up in the sky.

While US has said they are there to stay forever as though they can just because they said so. US has no ground forces strong enough to do so anyway

Rüdiger Preiss

“Turkey respect Syrian sovereignty”?? Dream on. Don’t forget, Turkey is Syria’s neighbour – the US is not. You do realise that a lot of arming and support for FSA has come from Turkey? And Turkey was trading with ISIS?

Joe

So is US invited and any business there in Syria?

Now everyone wants to fight to gain Syrian territory ….which only fools playing Xbox would believe can be done knowing that Assad has more than enough allies to kick all out. US or Turkey …. no difference.

Kira Binkley

Finally. An intelligent American.

Rüdiger Preiss

US has no business in Syria as well of course. I never claimed they did.

Jens Holm

The Ottoman un-independent Syria was moved north taking half of Aleppo and Raqqa province. Thats why Kurds became Syrians.

They has been in that area much longer then any real arab as well as the 80% indoeuropean Turks.

Besides that Syria has not been any country in more them 1000 years and not even made its own indepency and also treat it very bad. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/70303aa4641b668ea862bda2169c2a52311e2e02afde2e39cea00cf835643c0d.jpg

If You want to blame some, it should be Jordan and Israel/Phalestine but also give bach the tripolis area to the owners.

Rüdiger Preiss

What’s the date of your map? This one here is of Stielers Hand Atlas from 1891. Germans were certainly more neutral in their political observations of this area. If you look at it, most of the areas which you claim are Kurdish are called “Arabistan”, whilst “Kurdistan” is clearly further North. With regards to Syria not being a sovereign state at this time, this is a ridiculous argument – if this was an argument at all then how comes the Kurds should get a country now? They too, had no sovereign state. Did the natives in America have a sovereign state?Nowhere in the Middle East did the Kurds have it better than in Syria – certainly not in Iraq, not in Turkey and neither in Iran. Had there been no colour revolution in Syria, the less than 2 mio Kurds would have lived their lives there. Instead, Kurds from Turkey and Iraq, armed by the US, were lured to fight ISIS (this was the official reason) with the real purpose to balkanise Syria. Kurds took the bait. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/4a79189cf2c05ce1ac4e5223dacb1cb7505df33a9d4440f4ad6d795816b791af.jpg

Terence Silvestre Jr.

Please share us your definition of dictatorship and independence, my dear friend? Because if the search for independence from a dictatorship, is to join with a foreign power to invade territories illegally of the host dictatorial regime while stealing in the process almost all natural energy resource of that country, for me and people with something of common sense, it would seem more actions of vile barbarians and bandits thieves without law and no honor, deserving of the harshest punishments, while being deprived of any kind of benefits of more civilized people, I fear. Because, since when punishing injustice with more injustice is proof of democracy and freedom between rational and civilized people? Ask me my friend, please.

nicolas s

You seem to forget the kurds were facing daesh alone . Mostly The usa gave them support and air power, they can be grateful for that. For you kurds are barbarians, well , better fall into their hands than any other factions over there

Luna

Kurds are not barbarians. They are usefull idiots and opportunists.

nicolas s

Now it was idiocy to believe usa, it must be difficult to say no to the most powerful army though

as

Most powerful army ? Most expensive and most diverse army yes. Powerful ? Certainly not as much as the other Two superpowers. Fact is their main combat capacity now is counterinsurgency and subversion. They’ve lost their robustness, and general competence somewhere after they pulled back from Vietnam.

Jens Holm

Its only partly correct. They have replacesed things like the turkish infantery army and the Chinese Volksturm with tecnology.

Jens Holm

You really dont get the alternatives. Who else should they “believe in” = NONE. And they are not like that. Its a something for something those SDF`s being themselves.

Jens Holm

You are right about the opportunities. Before that, there were none apart from urbanisation or leaving the country. And with ISIS there it was being killed or being refugees in Turkey.

Assads never would come back without them in stead being armed and joines in units with others in SDF.

But that dont tell me, that things should go back and Assads again just should milk the oil- and gas cows given some candy here and there as compensation.

Its aexact the same for the rest of the country and a good reason for the Jihadists by that are given extra positive winds.

Let me remind You, that kurds did not were the uprisers and YPG were more then allowed to make resistence against ISIS( and other Jihadists). SDF was no force there at all and almost all the refugees in Turkey and Afrin already was there before SDF`s became more then forks and huntingriffels.

Kira Binkley

Salah al Din was a Kurd, and a very honorable one.

Terence Silvestre Jr.

If I’m not mistaken, you’re telling me that the Americans are only there to help the Kurds defeat ISIS, that the Americans themselves created, armed and financed and continue to fund, and that’s why the Kurds deserve some recognition and thanks from the Syrian government for the heroic act to defend Syria from ISIS? Unless you are an innocent 10-year-old child, I think you will have to inform yourself well and from as many sources as you can, and then, begin to make a wise use of this brain that God kindly gives you in your future comments, my son. Because, believe me telling you that while investigating the origin, history and facts of the Kurds over time, they turned out to be the worst you can ever find, talking about cheating, betrayal, disloyalty and evil, from generation to generation to this day. Investigate it yourself, my friend and always research well before writing or talking about some well-known facts.

Jens Holm

Another comment of zero value.

Terence Silvestre Jr.

How are you, my dearest friend? Again here wasting time writing just to write without contributing anything that is still worth being read and less answered as most of the time? Although I have to admit that rarely when you are in a good mood you get to share us too very good points of view commenting here, my good friend. Have a nice day.

Lehrasap

If Assad was unable to provide them the security, still it didn’t mean that Kurds start supporting American and Israeli conspiracies against the Syrian Land. Right from the beginning Kurds didn’t supported Assad directly, but they always wanted to use the crises for their own interests, and thus right from the beginning there was no trust in the Kurds.

1691

They could have joined SAA but they didn’t.

Jens Holm

I can see no use of joining one of the most ineffective armies in the world.

Kurds as militaries are learned to be in small flexible and higly movable groups having many small and partly independent leaders. They also check whats around them and have well functioning withdrawls as importance for staying alive.

They find the weak spots in the enemy lines and go through enemy lines sometimes in the Clausewitz way even they of course are tiny compared to a German army.

They also are well prepared in logistics and seldom has had no supply lines. They have had need for enough firepower, but the explanation is, that USA follow an agreement with Turks.

1691

Whatever you say.I tried hard but could not see one point that would make me agree. You do not want to see the whole picture, just pieces and bits. Kurds are paying with their lives for their greed and stupidity. I guess in the course of the last decates they have improved their terrorising skills under the guidence and sponsorship from usa and israhell. The war goes on. The rich get richer. And you have a nerve to say that SAA is ” ineffective”? Ha ha ha!

Jens Holm

The big picture ? I see a big area of old Ottoman provinces joined by French and Brittish for oil for Kirkuk and the new country Turkey has got more, then their population should give them.

I also have seen Turks disagree with Syria+Iraq since and also allow me to add Cyprus.

In that You fx has diveded kurds as well as interfiering in those areas by nationalism of the worst kind with no respect for anything of theirs.

The rich get richer ??? More like the corruption locals steeling from the poor by corruption asnd bajonets are the real fact.

You totally ignore in Your Muhammed fatalisme economy, where it was promised You only became rich by steeling how there was something to steal ….

And thats by making the cake bigger by being raise to learning something in schools, educations, skills and hard work being paid pr hour and not for incoimpetent family reations incl. vomen are hardly participaters and kept dtupid made for buy and sale.

Much better to make a bigger cake and share that then Your non devellopment and stealing version.

It also was not me saying USA are ineffective, but its better to be ineffective, if You already has enough to allow some waste then being poor and its a catastrophe.

1691

Muhammed is not related to me. What you describe is insignificant. The big picture is nothing but profits for the 1% rich against the 99% of the global population. These little players: Britain, France, Ottomans, Kurds are nothing but income generating tools for the 1%.

dutchnational

And why would they have joined SAA? What incentive to join a force that abandoned them to Islamists and did not defend them against Al Qaeda, AAS etc etc?

Why join the army of a dictator that denied them the right to even be Syrian?

Jens Holm

Thats my conclusion as well. Those wells did not belong to the Syrian people but Baathistas and affiliated. When SDF`s took them, they took it back from ISIS and that part of the Syrian population.

I see that as a positive step but also an important change should be those and the other oil-and gas wellsshould be shared with all Syrians.

In that i see the need in upgrading the poor parts of Syria by that income. Here I have seen a great lack of that for many years. Those areas can be upgraded and fx tha PYD programs tells that the small ineffective farms should be driven in bigger units in modern ways. That of course include better irrigation and fertilisation.

Rüdiger Preiss

BS – most of the oil & gas in Syria was state owned, a socialist country where medical treatment and education is and has been free. Listen to Asma Al-Assad, this video is from 2010. Doesn’t sound like someone who is after wealth and power. You need to understand that most Kurds are on a very different intellectual level. Also, you need to understand that the CULTURE in Syria hasn’t been invented by the Assads. Cultural stereotypes such as women to stay at home cooking and cleaning is a cultural phenomenon, same as it has been in Europe less than 100 years ago. Society in Syria was changing and the Assads were pioneers for a more democratic, free, just and fair Syria. I think it is highly plausible that the US & Wahhabi friends felt their time was running out to destroy Syria for that very reason. Had they waited a few more years, they would have been even less successful. Syria was increasingly doing well!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySlT5un6Ddg.

Jens Holm

The same from you again and again. The thiefs around oil are Assads and after that ISIS. SDF just have taken parts of it back and would like to share it with the other 17 million Syrians. Its naive the fields Assads have now will be shared with the rest of the populations ?

You are right in that Assads and his Baathistas should have been behind bars many years ago.

Terence Silvestre Jr.

What are you talking about? I can not grasp your idea, and much less understand you this time, my son. Maybe I’m not as smart as I thought, or unless that the lack of the ability to be understood is on your side I fear, my dear friend.

Jens Holm

Very strange and manipulative, You cannot see, what I am writing about.

Terence Silvestre Jr.

Again, what the hell are you talking about? Explain, my son, otherwise I will have no choice but to ignore each of your comments, I am afraid my dear friend.

Jens Holm

Im not son of yours. If Your govermnent send me money for traing, I will teach You.

Terence Silvestre Jr.

Okey my beloved son. Whatever you say is fine if it makes you feel better and benefits your psyche in something.

dutchnational

Being cendescending is not very nice.

Some people have more ability to express themselves in English than others. He makes the effort and is, I presume, more able to express himself in English than you in Danish. So give him a break, yes?

He is quite understandable so either go into his comment or abstain yourself from the discussion. Ok?

Terence Silvestre Jr.

Please, unless you and the one you defend are the same crazy commenting without senses here, I will thank you politely that you stay out of our affairs that has nothing to do with the note that we are all commenting here, my son. Because there is nothing worse than giving encouragement to a madman when not even the madman knows he is crazy. Have a nice day my dear friend.

Joe

Are you kidding . Its precisely the Kurds are fighting for independence and depend on US to do so who even promised them land to the sea.

Well they did not take into account the Truks and there is just no way US would abandon their airbases in Turkey and lose Turkey as Nato over a few Kurds.

The thing Kurds must now do is … not continue with arrogance like claiming no agreement with Damascus like Rambo.. Give up all areas to Syrian soldiers SAA and drop their weapons ..

That is the only way Kurds would save themselves rather be under the Turks who will not give them any mercy knowing how they hate the Kurds.

Kira Binkley

Where have you been? Not only has NATO lost the Turks, but the U.S. has also. You’ve been watching too much MSM.

Jens Holm

Kurds never has been promised fx Hatay.

Your drop Your weapons is far out. If they did according to ISIS(and FSA) they all already was dead or refugees in Turkey.

More like You prefare killing unarmed population and thing You gain respect and honor by that… Well the men of course. The uneducated being kept unbright women raised for sell and buy is out of that algoritme.

And do You see the Succes. If so, the microskope must be censured too.

Where is your succes. I only see one, thats blaming others for, what You do. Everything is from the outside incl. toiletpaper.

You can call me Al

With you on this one Terrance.

Terence Silvestre Jr.

Thanks and nice to meet you here as always, my good friend.

Michał Hunicz

Wait, did a Turkish official called HTS a terrorist organization?

dutchnational

A slip of the tongue.

Promitheas Apollonious

from an idiot and a kid, always you hear the truth

Luna

Who do you think arranged the creation of Syrian Liberation Front and sent them to fight with HTS ?

Michał Hunicz

WOW… You have already opened my mind. I really didn’t think about it.

as

HTS gulf country owned. Now seemingly CIA controlled though.

It seems these are the special forces that flattened several kurdish cities in Turkey, murdering hundreds of civillians by burning them alive in cellars, by targeted shooting of civillians and committing atrocities, leaving several cities completely flattened.

They were able to win against untrained youth numbering several hundreds armed with AK47’s and a few machine guns in unfortified positions. They will find a different opposition in Afrin and one can only hope that YPG/YPJ will kill most of them.

Luna

Sorry dutchnational. Your buddies are already dead.

nicolas s

So why are the tirks bringing in more troups ?

Promitheas Apollonious

they die faster they anticipated they will.

Luna

We will all see , wont we ? Hope you will not disappear and still be around here by then with your excuses.

Promitheas Apollonious

excuses for what ? I am enjoying the show with my pop corn.

Luna

The troops ‘tirks’ are bringing are special ops/ urban warfare units. They are specialized units for city warfare. The army will continue its way to Afrin while these units will continue the fight in Jinderes, Rajo , Sheyk Hadid , Sharanlı and Ma Betla. Dutchnational above knows who are they and thats the reason he is crying.

Joe Dirt

FYI regular soldiers are trained in urban warfare. If you have to bring in “special ops” it means things could be going wrong. Special ops work ahead of regular units.

The Turks have the city surrounded, why would you need special ops? Especially since this campaign has been swift.

dutchnational

Sssst, do not tell.

The city is not surrounded. Reinforcements, supplies, are still coming in. The corridor to Aleppo is open, turkish forces are at most places over 20kms from the city and still have to breach the outer defensive lines

The Afrin swamp is swallowing more and more turkish forces and materiel. Lost tanks and armoured cars are over 75 now and the 100 target will be reached in the next week. SDF forces number now more than at the start of the invasion.

Luna

Someone should also tell you that corridor to Aleppo is deliberately left open, If you can not understand why , you simply do not deserve an explanation.

Where did you get your numbers of loss regarding APCs and tanks BTW ?

Rüdiger Preiss

They have no business in Syria. Same as probably 80% of the non-Syrian Kurds have no business there either.

Jacek Wolski

The Tirk troops are coming alright, riding on their donkeys! ?

Luna

Troops on donkeys argument, especially when told by a Polish guy strangely reminds me the cavalry charge at Krojanty Sept 1939..

How many hours it lasted , 2 ?

Jacek Wolski

What Polish guy?! Are you hallucinating on magic mushrooms or you just not the sharpest tool in the shed!? ? I’ll give you two more tries ✌??

dutchnational

Well, for being dead they seem to be able to kill lots of invading turks and other jihadis.

Luna

They will , as much as they can. But soon we will start hearing epic stories from them telling how they resisted although they lost the battle .Someone should tell you / them that there is no such thing as a ‘glorious defeat’..

Alfred55

You remind me of the Black Knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Luna

He rather reminds me the banjo playing boy from Deliverance.

Rüdiger Preiss

Good one :D

dutchnational

On this site and given the ideology of most commenters here, you are entirely correct.

However, there are pearls among the swines.

velociraptor

dont worry. your brothers and sisters, the best warriors of the universe will kick them out. :))))

“Turkey has vast experience conducting its anti-terror fight in residential areas without harming civilians, just as it had observed during the Euphrates Shield Operation,” Bozdag

Leveled entire towns Turkey Just another AKP brown shirt freak who reminds me of one of those planet of ape movies with gorilla’s on horse back running down humans and chasing them up trees

Rodney Loder

Does anybody know of anyone who is effected by the 30 day ceasefire ?. The US likes to spend money on rubbish to prove how wealthy it is, and to be vindicated in every thought that they sail on the dead sea of ubiquity, which is similar to children playing in the puddles on a rainy day with paper boats, the world watches in apprehension because a sore loser with an atom bomb is a menace only to himself “if” Allah is really in charge, Trump will prove it one way or the other.

Promitheas Apollonious

always trust a stooge to do the dirty work for the master

Rodney Loder

Stooges come in three and send messages ringing down from the heavens above Trump the father Hillary the mother but messages are in a loop due to the Holy Ghost being on strike, payday comes and the Ghost will be hard at it, but when will payday come all the money is earmarked for the master’s minions, Trump is refusing to pay the Palestinian Authority and so they walk out, why did Trump ever think that the US was ever engaged in anything other than bribery and sedition, Trump is criminally insane like all rest only with a shady dodgy Dan nebular appeal selling worn out second hand policies to lunatics.

Promitheas Apollonious

in three yes. Trump – daughter and son in law. The wife just bangs her head on the wall who married for money a drag queen.

Rodney Loder

I feel like that too, but it is not good to denigrate drag queens, the Libertarians have come into a fortune on the Cripto space, they are supporting both drag queens and the alternative media, couldn’t you just say the wife isn’t getting her fair share, neither am I come to think of it, what the hell happened to Kira Binkley ?.

Kira Binkley

That is KiraSeer Binkley, my good friend. And KiraSeer often has personal business to attend to, in which case the whole world can wait on her. In reference to your statement on drag queens, you may be implicating crypto-Muslims or crypto-Jews.

Rodney Loder

We make demands on the things that are important to us, I am an Empiricist who’s allurement is driven by the demands others make on me, that is due to the fact that we can only have understanding of knowledge by what we sense, what works for me must work for you, so the demands I make on you is what theoretically you should love me for.

However I may not be infallible, it could be there is something else, I mean everyone is likely to make demands on you, and you’re guaranteed not to love them because you don’t feel committed.

So it’s after “commitment – demamds” that the Empiricist ties too.

Cripto space is only currency currently, there is not much known about Crypto Muslims and Crypto Jews the codes are impossible to break because some are fantasy and some are not.

Kira Binkley

People make demands on the things that are important to them, Rodney? Sounds selfish to me.

Kira Binkley

BigMike is calling you, I imagine. Well, I have to go too. Talk to you tomorrow. When I get to Morrow. Think Kingston Trio.

Kira Binkley

I found out last week, Rodney, that the people of New Mexico like the Russians better than they like Trump. Not hard to understand why.

Rodney Loder

Is it because New Mexico is a fly over State and they crave attention,? somewhat like constant craving will always be there in New Mexico, Trump is just a rubber stamp the same old messy mate, and Putin is something of an enigma because he’s never flown over?.

Russian elections are starting I heard, I hope Putin goes really great, I of course was the Australian Judo champion in 1964 up to orange belt, I sort of cheated a bit because I never went for grading and had been doing it for ages, so I identify with Putin because of the sport not so much the cheating that we’re both good at, I will say this thought I’ve never cheated on a girl.

Kira Binkley

Ghosts (shabh) can walk through walls, Rodney. Like the “invisible sheikh”. And you should know.

Rodney Loder

Well Kira Binkley I had a visitation from a Ghost yesterday, what happened was, I was posting on OPP about Robespierre’s reference to Rousseau concerning the festival of the Supreme Being and all of a sudden I was thrown on the floor, luckily from my Judo championship experience I simply applied a break-fall and was OK, my Smart Phone apparatus went blank.

Immediately I collected my senses and reported the incident on the thread of the forum, perhaps I said that it should be forgotten what it was, that I was about to say.

I better have a break from OPP break-falls at 140 k’s are not the effective, time for my practice session.

Kira Binkley

Me too. Better have a break, that is. Talk to you soon. Like tonight.

Bjorn Metaal

The next target will probably be the town Jandaris. The map shows nicely that they’re at shooting distance from the town and will probably besiege it in the coming Days.

Christian Gains

Well, well…looks like Erdorgan wants more land…not just to drive Kurds out…I just don’t see this intrusion as being a good thing…Of course, I don’t REALLY KNOW…but Erdorgan worries me…seems AWFULLY desirous of expanding his POWER & CONTROL…

Luna

Not like Iran , or Russia, or USA or Kurds , right ?

Icarus Tanović

No man, roles are played superb by all. Turkey, Russia, Iran. This is Turkeys onion to American eyes.

Typical Turks stealing other people’s lands, they belong to the far east in the Asian steppes somewhere between Mongolia and China where they all came from !

velociraptor

Kurds belong to south Patagonia.

Joe Dirt

Interesting how SF did not mention the Police Special Operation Department is also involved in the “new phase”

You can call me Al

That was the Turks not Syria….

Joe Dirt

what?

You can call me Al

The Turks brought their police special services in.

Joe Dirt

when you conquer you need Law and Order after my friend

You can call me Al

Good point.

Bob

TAF special forces have been in Afrin offensive the whole time – Turkish 4th and 10th Commando units have sustained casualties – the 10th notably taking the most. A casualty list was leaked on Twitter weeks ago.

Jacek Wolski

Pfft, not so special when you’re dead!
