Turkey Is Reducing Military Presence In Syria: Russian Foreign Ministry

ILLUSTRATIVE IMAGE

Turkey is reducing its military presence in northern Syria, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova on December 3.

“The implementation of the Russian-Turkish agreements on stabilization of the situation in the de-escalation zone of Idlib continues. The Turkish military is reducing its presence in the territories that have come under the control of Syrian government forces,” she said.

Zakharova noted that on November 26, the evacuation of the 4th Turkish observation post was completed.

“A cessation of hostilities is maintained in most of Syria. At the same time, the situation in the Idlib zone remains tense,” Zakharova said.

More details on the current situation in Syria can be found in SouthFront’s war report released on November 17:

In October and the first half of November, the war in Syria remained in a relatively calm phase, which was not marked by any active military actions of the sides involved in the conflict. Nonetheless, this period demonstrated several trends that would shape the further development of the situation in the war-torn country.

Despite the collapse of ISIS’ self-proclaimed Caliphate and repeatedly declared defeat of the group, ISIS cells still remain a major factor of instability in eastern Homs, southern Raqqa, in the countryside of Deir Ezzor and in the areas surrounding the US military garrison in al-Tanf. ISIS cells regularly conduct attacks on civilian and military convoys moving between Homs and Deir Ezzor as well as on patrols and checkpoints of the Syrian Army in the aforementioned areas.

For example, on November 14, ISIS ambushed a convoy of the al-Qatirji security group, which guards government oil shipments in southern Raqqa. The incident took place on the Ithriyah-Raqqa road. 5 pro-government fighters were killed. A day earlier, on November 13, ISIS blew up an oil tanker guarded by al-Qatirji group with an improvised explosive device. The al-Qatirji security group is affiliated with the al-Qatirji Company that imports oil from Syria’s northeastern region, controlled by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces, to government-controlled areas. The company and its owners are on the US sanction list. On November 11, ISIS cells stormed SAA military positions north of al-Sukhna and blew up a local gas pipeline. The ISIS news agency Amaq claimed that 11 Syrian soldiers were killed in the attack.

ISIS also has a wide network of cells on the eastern bank of the Euphrates, especially near the Omar oil fields area, but it rarely conducted attacks there in recent months. Local sources claim that ISIS members use the eastern bank of the Euphrates and border areas close to al-Tanf as rear bases for operations in central Syria.

The US military is present in northeastern Syria in much larger numbers than the US President Donald Trump used to think. This was an open secret since the very start of the implementation of the Trump-declared troop withdrawal. However, on November 12, this fact was openly confirmed by James Jeffrey, former Special Representative for Syria Engagement, that said that US officials routinely lied to Trump over the number of troops deployed in Syria. Currently, US sources admit that up to 1,000 US troops remain in the conflict zone. Together with military contractors and civilian specialists the real number is most likely closer to 2,000-2,500.

The south of Syria remains one of the points of instability despite the Russia-backed reconciliation efforts there. On November 12, a Tigr vehicle of the Russian Military Police was struck with an improvised explosive device on the road between al-Musayfrah and al-Sahoah in the eastern countryside of Daraa. The incident took place amid a new round of tensions between pro-government forces and former members of reconciled militant groups in the area.

The Syrian Army took control of the region and allowed the relatively moderate part of militant groups there to lay down arms as a part of a wide reconciliation agreement in 2018. However, since then, the local reconciliation process has faced several obstacles, including the resistance of a part of the local elites affiliated with militants. Together with the close proximity to the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, this turns the province into a permanent headache for the Damascus government.

The de-escalation deal in Greater Idlib and the creation of the demilitarized zone in its south is once again stalled due to the Turkish unwillingness to break its ties with the al-Qaeda-like terrorist groups like Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and the Turkistan Islamic Party because these groups are the core of the so-called Turkish-backed opposition. This situation cannot be changed without another military operation of the Syrian Army or the Turkish will to finally start working against terrorists in Idlib. The second scenario seems unlikely as it does not go in the interests of Ankara.

Nonetheless, it seems that Moscow has not abandoned the idea to motivate Turkey for some constructive actions and during the last 2 months, warplanes of the Russian Aerospace Forces conducted a large number of strikes on infrastructure and training camps of Turkish-backed terrorists.

At the same time, Ankara has evacuated its observation posts in Maar Hattat, Morek and Sher Mughar, and started withdrawing forces from Qabtan al-Jabal and Sheikh Aqil. Most of these positions were surrounded by the Syrian Army during the previous anti-terrorist advances. This move goes contrary to the loud claims of the Turkish leadership that it will withdraw zero posts, even surrounded ones, from Greater Idlib and instead of this will force the Syrian Army to withdraw to positions behind them. This is a visual demonstration that the airstrike diplomacy efforts of the Russian side has a particular effect.

The war in Syria did not end and a comprehensive diplomatic solution has not yet been found due to the serious contradictions between the sides involved in the standoff. Nonetheless, the current format of the conflict allowed to put to an end the wide-scale military confrontations on the ground and moved the main agenda towards counter-terrorism efforts, economic and diplomatic questions.

The partnership of a crypto Jew, and a cricket player, who had a Jewish ex wife makes sense. To cause now even more shit with another player was mostlikely part of the deal between Aliey, Erdogan and Khan. Will be interesting if one will even see troops of Azerbaijan in Pakistan, fighting India. Smart Zionist move, to light up an even bigger fire using the Jihadis to clear away goy population – even in India, and laying the ground for more Israeli arms sales in the process…

Collaboration for the creation of the Great Turan. All this is just a framework of the great Turkish idea embraced by Erdogan – the construction of the Great Turan – a single state under Turkish rule for all Turks. The work was first expressed by the Young Turks and Kemal Ataturk in the early 20th century. Thus, Crimea, the Transcaucasia, Tatarstan, and Russia’s northeastern territories must become Turan itself, as an Islamic state, which the militants sought to build in Syria, not without Ankara’s active support. With the agreement of China, because China is in its absolute interest since Turkey is its economic colony … it has reached the Eastern Mediterranean (where both Silk Road roads end) and is its center center of the planet … WITHOUT WAR. !!

‘Adolf Hitler idolised the Turkish leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. The obsession was not only strategic, but was also deeply personal. The Fuhrer referred to Ataturk as his “star in the darkness” and he felt the formation of modern Turkey was the sort of Germany he wanted tocreate.’ https://www.abc.net.au/radionational/programs/saturdayextra/turkey/6501944 The not so Germanic Adolf didn’t mind that his deeply personal idol Atatürk was -at his own admission- a descendent of Sabatai Zevi. Since Hitler had his onetime Munich buddy Sebottendorf, who wrote the book: ‘Secret Practices of the Sufi Freemasons: The Islamic Teachings at the Heart of Alchemy’ he must have known all about the Dönmeh, which were at the heart of the Young Turks: ‘Though small in number, Sabbataists occupied a very important place in Ottoman social and political life towards the fall of the Empire. Notable figures of the community included Journalists Hüseyin Cahit Yalçın, Hasan Tahsin, Halide Edip Adıvar, Ahmed Emin Yalman, Namık Zeki Aral (Bülent Ecevit’s father-in-law), Halil Lütfi Dördüncü, Abdi İpekçi, Dinç Bilgin, Sabiha Sertel; Young Turk politicians Cavit Bey, Mithat Şükrü Bleda and Dr. Nazım; Foreign Minister Fatin Rüştü Zorlu and Undersecretary of prime ministry Ahmed Salih Korur, two of the last Foreign Ministers İsmail Cem and Emre Gönensay, Professor Sıddık Sami Onar, who were among the ones that prepared the 1961 constitution, and businessman Halil Bezmen.’ (from above abc link)

‘At the beginning Sabbatai believed that Messiah would come in 1666, and consequently he manifestly broke all the religious laws of Judaism, which were part of the “old”, “pre-messianic” order. When the prophecy did not come true and Sabbatai Zevi was arrested and forced to convert to Islam, he thought that Shechinah was imprisoned in this religion. Therefore, he decided on banishment, and with a selected group of people, he converted to Islam. Sabbatai believed that he became a “vessel” storing Shechinah and therefore he gained a divine nature. Different sects evolved from sabbateanism after the founder’s death. Dönmehs [Turkisch: dönme – convert] saw the next embodiment of the Messiah in Jacob Querido. Koniozos, named after their leader Konio Ruso, considered Baruch Ruso, Konio’s son, to be a Messiah. Both sects were active among Sefardic Jews in Turkey (Edirne, Smyrna, Istanbul, Thessaloniki, Wallachia). In the nineteenth century the sect disintegrated. There were only several hundred Dönmehs. However, some important activists of the Young Turkey Movement came from this sect. Among them was Mustafa Kemal Atatürk (1881-1938), the first president of Turkey after the proclamation of the Republic in 1922…’ https://sztetl.org.pl/en/tradycja-i-kultura-zydowska/religia/sabataizm

PS: I know my buddy Jens Holm will now say that this is all a coincidence and that there is no deep (global) state and that nothing has to do with 1666, the zoarist outbreak of Zionism: https://www.haaretz.com/jewish/once-a-jewish-sect-turkey-s-secretive-dnme-inspire-conspiracy-and-persecution-1.5422262 https://www.jpost.com/opinion/the-jewish-people-between-the-ottoman-empire-and-turkish-republic-475672

Everyone and everything is connected my friend. For example the name Adolph in the ancient Teutonic language means Ad-olph (Wolf of AD) the red wolf, as well as the devilish wolf … how compatible with the gray wolves of turkey. Most people do not know ancient languages … such as Babylonian, Ancient Greek, Aramaic, etc. and can not see the CONNECTION in many things.

Albert Pike

Zevi also means wolf or deer…

Kohlhaas

Adolf does not mean red wolf… it means noble wolf “adal”+”wulf”. Show a source to your etymological claim please.

Kohlhaas

What a load of cr*p you wrote… but nice job though, because you have nicely embedded lies and propaganda between facts. All of these allegations are created and used by shariah supporters/radical Islamists in Turkey to degrade national heros and undermine the republic. The name you gave “Abdi İpekçi” was a journalist and assassinated by a sc*m and these allegations are created to “justify” his death, did you know about that?

Sabbateans exist, Donmeh exist, Hitler idolised Ataturk. Some of the names you gave have Jewish ancestors, but the rest of it is useless Albert…. isn’t it weird…. you carry a Jewish name.

Albert Pike

Thanks for your answer. Since I wasn’t in Türkey at the time of the young turks, I do rely on sources. I do prefer Jewish sources and all the Jewish sources say the same, when it comes to Atatürk.

My fake name ‘Albert Pike’ is not jewish – but real Albert Pike was most likely Jewish: ‘Albert Pike was born on December 29, 1809, in Boston, and was the oldest of six children born to the Jewish family of Benjamin and Sarah Chase. It is unknown why Albert Pike’s father later change his name from Chase to Pike, maybe to hide his Jewish identity. He studied at Harvard, and later served as a Brigadier-General in the Confederate Army and was one of the major architects of the Civil War. After the Civil War, Pike was found guilty of treason and implicated in the assassination of President Lincoln, only to be pardoned by fellow FREEMASON President Andrew Johnson on April 22, 1866, who met with him the next day at the White House. On June 20, 1867, Scottish Rite officials conferred upon President Johnson the 32nd Freemasonry degrees, and he later went to Boston to dedicate a Masonic Temple. Albert Pike acting in behalf of the de Rothschild family, founded the KKK. (Quelle: joeland7.blogspot.de)’

Kohlhaas

Dude.. I know who is Albert Pike….

Albert Pike

Look – you are just cheeky/disrespectful, and you didn’t prove to me that you know anything. Otherwise you wouldn’t have written that I carry a Jewish name, since it should have been known to you that ‘Albert Pike’ is like ‘Kohlhaas’ and can’t give any indication to my religious affiliation…

Kohlhaas

Okay, yes, my attitude wasn’t respectful. I apologize for that. Almost all of the time I am trying to be respectful. But it was so surreal to hear these “thesis” from a foreigner. When I am reading, I felt like as if one of those shariah supporters in here wrote it, but in English. It is that similar. Btw. I checked the links you posted. As I can see, there is no reference to any historical document about “Ataturk being jewish”.

Actualy conspiracy theories are good to some extent because they have a potential to reveal the hiddens. But some of them are just nonesense, like this and like flat earth…. As I state these theories are first created by those people in Turkey.

Now about the “Albert”, I was mocking you and behaving as if I discovered something secret. That’s why I wrote it, and evidence? How can I even prove that I know about Albert Pike… we are on the internet… you have to trust my word, or not. I may be lying as well. Decision is on you.

Albert Pike

Apology accepted. I have not come behind the secret of the Donmeh nor Frankists, since in my book Atatürk was a good figure, which catapulted Türkey into the modern age.

A similar argument can he be made for Hitler, man of the year 1938, which made Germany in the first 5years again into a nation with hopeful inhabitants. But according to Marvin Antelman Hitler was of Frankist descent – son of the highest Frankist at the time -which must have been the Ustashe founder Josip Frank. There again one could ask – what were the Frankists? Were they entirely bad, or was their being good for a while just a prelude for a long and choicefully lost war?

Kohlhaas

One more thing, a question. Do you really believe that an elite jew would spend almost his entire life in fronts? :)

Albert Pike

Jews are normal people. Some are busimess men, many are doctors, some are simple people.

If I do understand you right, then your main argument against ‘Ataturk a donmeh’ is that ist comes from Islamists and not from Jewish sources – am I correct?

So – Yes ist comes from Islamists, so from: ‘The Associated Press news agency, citing the Grand Vizier of Turkey, mentions in an item of the 3rd of July, 1920: “Mustafa Kemal, (the Turkish nationalist leader) whom the great vizier presents as a Jew, was born a Turk and his parents were from Saloniki and were Deonmes, that is converts, as were the parents of Talat’

But it also come from jewish sources: ‘The donmeh roots of Mustafa Kemal are also to be found in the works of such an informed figure when it comes to crypto-Jews as Joachim Prinze (1902-1988), who was president of the American Jewish Congress from 1958 to 1966. He writes: “Among the leaders of the revolution which resulted in a more modern government in Turkey were Djavid Bey and Mustafa Kemal. Both were ardent doenmehs. Djavid Bey became minister of finance; Mustafa Kemal became the leader of the new regime and had adopted the name of Ataturk. His opponents tried to use his doenmeh background to unseat him, but without success. Too many of the Young Turks in the newly formed revolutionary Cabinet prayed to Allah, but had as their real prophet Shabtai Zvi, the Messiah of Smyrna” (Joachim Prinz, The Secret Jews, New York, 1973, p. 122).’ That was written as late as 1973 – 35years after Ataturks death.

‘Jews of Salonika (Thessaloniki) always held to the opinion that Mustafa Kemal was a donmeh (http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/judaica/ejud_0002_0005_0_05294.html). The Jews think so to this day. An entry on Mustafa Kemal can be found on the Jewish Virtual Library online, a website which lists information on celebrated Jewish figures or those of Jewish background (http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/judaica/ejud_0002_0012_0_11019.html).’

Also where he went to school, and where he lived speaks as an argument that he was a Dönmeh: ‘That is, in the time when Mustafa was born, only one out of seven of the inhabitants of Salonika was Muslim (and not just Turkish), while the Jews or the donmeh comprised three-fourths of the population. The Turks, as a Turkish politician who lived in Salonika at the time said, were not many, simply “more than a few” (ibid). It is also very significant to note that Mustafa’s family lived in a non-Muslim district of Salonika: “Mustafa Kemal lived [during his childhood in Salonika] in a quarter in which [non-Muslim] minorities lived” (ibid. p. 244). Considering the community-based millet system of the Ottoman Empire, where each member of a community would live alongside his co-religionists and fellow community members, then this fact certainly becomes very important indeed. The next fact to which we shall turn also has to do with the Ottoman community system. Each community of the Empire had its own schools and other educational establishments, maintained by the community’s means. The sole exception was the dominant Turkish element, for which there were state-sponsored schools. It is a well-known fact that Mustafa was first briefly sent to the Turkish Hafiz Mehmet school (Barbara K. Walker, Filiz Erol, and Mine Erol, To Set Them Free, The Early Years of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, New Hampshire, 1981, p. 26), and then to the Shemsi Effendi (or Chemsi Effendi) school (H. C. Armstrong, Gray Wolf: An Intimate Study of a Dictator, New York, 1933, p. 5). The Shemsi Effendi (the real name being “Shimon Zwi”) (Rifat N. Bali, ibid. pp. 36-37) school was one of the schools of Salonika’s donmeh community. In Ottoman society, the schools were established not just according to community, but also to sub-communal divisions. As the donmehs of Salonika were divided into three groups – Yakubi, Karakash, Kapanchi (Cengiz Sisman, The History of naming the Ottoman / Turkish Sabbatians, p. 50; in Studies on Istanbul and Beyond, The Freely Papers, v. I, 2007, pp. 37-53) – according to the question of who would succeed Sabata (The Donmes in the Memoirs of Fuat Andic, in Rifat N. Bali, ibid. p. 126), each had its own school: the Fryz-i Ati for the Yakubi, the Feyziye for the Karakash (established in 1883-84), and the Yadigar-i Terakki for the Kapanchi (established in 1879) (Rifat N. Bali, ibid. p. 126. Marc Baer, ibid. p. 154). As we know for sure that Mustafa Kemal attended the Feyziye school, about which he himself spoke in a 1922 interview (Reported by A. Emin (Yalman), “Buyuk Millet Meclisi Reisi Başkumandan Mustafa Kemal Pasa ile bir mulakat [An Interview with Mustafa Kemal Pasha, President of the Grand National Assembly and Commander-in-Chief; in Turkish]”, Vakit (Turkish Daily), 10 January, 1922), then we can likely surmise that he was a Karakash donmeh. Also, Mehmed Djavid Bey (Mehmet Cavit Bey) was a Karakash as well; he was the principal of the Feyziye school until he became the Finance Minister of the Ottoman Empire in 1908 (Rifat N. Bali, ibid. p. 120). It is very unlikely that Mustafa (later Kemal, and then, Ataturk) would have attended a donmeh school as a Turk. Ottoman society, as has already been mentioned, was structured on its communities and the distinctions among them were strictly maintained. Thus, the families of each community would send their children to their community’s schools alone.’

And there is this famous one, also an account from a Jew: ‘Among such accounts, the most important is, of course, that of the memoirs of Itamar Ben-Avi, who described a meeting with Mustafa Kemal in 1911 in the Hotel Kamenitz, as the latter was en route to Libya to take part in the Italo-Turkish War. Itamar Ben-Avi (1882-1943) was the son of the Father of Modern Hebrew, Eliezer Ben-Yehuda, being the first child to in modern times to speak Hebrew. He cites the following from what Mustafa Kemal said: “ ‘… At home I have a very old Tenakh (The Tenakh or Tanakh is the word for the Hebrew Bible. It is an abbreviation, “TaNaKh”, based on the initials of three words – Torah, Nevi’im, Ketuvim – referring to parts of the Bible as collections of Hebrew teaching) printed in Venice, and if I remember correctly my father sent me to a Karaite (Karaites include Crimean Turkish Jews) teacher who thought me to read it: a few words have remained with me, like …’. At that point he paused for a moment and his eyes [looked as if he was] searching the air. Then, just as suddenly, he remembered: ‘Shma’a Israel, Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai Echad!’ (Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one! (Deuteronomy, 6:4)) ‘That’s our greatest prayer, Captain Sir.’ ‘And also my secret prayer, Cher Monsieur,’ he answered and poured us both another drink” (Itamar Ben-Avi, Im Shahar Atzmautenu: Zichronoto shel HaYeled Ha’lvri HaRishon (At the Dawn of Our Independence: the Memoirs of the First Hebrew Child), 1961, pp. 213-218).’ https://hetq.am/en/article/50143

Well after reading this article I can not agree on your statement that there is no historical document about ‘Ataturk being jewish’, since his donmeh zoharism is just a flavour of messianic judaism.

Kohlhaas

As I understand, all of these quotes are from one article, from the last link. I have read it now.

Guess what, this article almost completely based to a Turkish writer, Rıfat N. Bali. To be honest, I did not heard about this man before. I searched him and found out that he is frequently quoted by Jews on the matters about Turkish Jews and by Armenian diaspora to undermine Turkey. No surprise that the author of the article you sent is an Armenian.

I also found that this man had who had “revealed” a fake letter from Ataturk’s wife to an American journal and this has been noticed when another Turkish Islamist writer quoted it…

Let me also answer some of the quotes in the article very shortly.

As I understand (since it didn’t give any name) first paragraph quotes from Damat Ferit, who was one of the most fierece enemies of Atatürk during the Independence War. It is quite normal if he said such a thing. Moreover, the other name mentioned “Talat” refers to Talat Pasha whose lineage is quite clear and he is not Jewish. So Ferit was at least lying about Talat. Actually, the root of most of the conspiracies about Ataturk’s Jewish origin caused because of his father. There is basically so little information about his father (because he died so early) and based on this, they claim he had a Jewish connection. His father born in Macedonia that’s for sure. But there are three main opinions about his origin. 1- He was one of Turks sent from Anatolia to increase Turk population in Balkans. 2-He was Albanian. 3-He had Slavic roots. The village he was born has a Turkish majority today, it is called “Kodžadžik”. But honestly, I am can’t be sure about his origin since there is no solid evidence about it. On the other hand his mother’s lineage is more clear and she is from Anatolian Turks. She was born in a remote village of Thessaloniki. Therefore, Ataturk is not even from Salonika.

3rd Paragraph – Ataturk’s name is used with a known Donmeh “Cavid Bey” to relate him with the Jews. But it is “missed” that he has been exectued by the order of Ataturk.

4th Paragraph- I tried to read the given links, but there is no such a site. Maybe the site has been deleted somehow. But to see if I can type a random domain and have the same page…. I did. Like this one https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/ASDFRANDOMASDF and when I searched the Ataturk in this site, there is no mention about his “Jewish origin” at all. https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/mustafa-kemal-ataturk

5th and 6th Paragraphs – It is claimed Muslim population in Salonika was 1/7 of the total and 3/4 was Jewish/Donmeh. It is false. The consesus is that the city was inhabited by Jews 1/2, Turks 1/4 and Greeks 1/4. 1/7 makes 14% and when we add 75% (Jews) it makes 89%. This figures discards most of the Greeks. But the most important point is that, author tried to show that there was a great possibility of Ataturk was from that “3/4”. But as I stated he was not from Salonika properly and moreover, her mother’s lineage is well known about their Islamic stance.

7th Paragraph- The claim suggesting founder of the school where Ataturk graduated was a sabbatean. I searched about this claim and only thing I could find is conspiracy theories by Bali again…. But I am not discarding this claim since, both options did not satisfy me.

Finally one last point. You did not give it in here, but in the article there is a quote “Mustafa Kemal himself once gave a very interesting answer to an almost direct question from one of his close friends, Nuri Conker, about his roots. Kemal replied, “For me as well as some people want to say that I’m a Jew – because I was born in Salonica. But it must not be forgotten that Napoleon was an Italian from Corsica, yet he died a Frenchman and has passed into history as such” (Rifat N. Bali, A Scapegoat for All Seasons: The Donmes or Crypto-Jews of Turkey, Istanbul, 2008, p. 248).” Again… from Bali. But I searched this quote and found out that it is actually first written by an Ottoman Armenian Cemal Granda. He revealed his secret quotes about Ataturk 21 years after his death… when he was in need of money. He worked as a servant of Ataturk and then, after many years, he wrote coined stories about Ataturk when he needed money. I actually also found that most of the conspiracies about Ataturk based on the writings of this guy.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

Is the average SF reader less intelligent than the average chimpanzee or does SF just treat it’s readers like knuckle dragging chimps, the jury’s still out. Erdogan just reshuffled the deckchairs, he moved them from hot sunny position in Idlib and Aleppo to much shadier position, that’s all he did, he didn’t remove any of his forces from Idlib at all, he actually increased them, and then he further fortified them. So SF tells it’s readers Turkey’s decreasing it’s forces just because Erdogan moved a few OB posts and checkpoints around, but only a fool falls for that old magic trick, I know where the ball is and I know which cup it’s hidden under, Erdogan’s magic trick isn’t fooling me. So what’s the truth, are most of us SF readers dumber than the average chimp, or does SF just treat us like we’re dumber than the average chimp, who out there knows the answer. So who believes Erdogan just decreased his presence in Syria, anyone?
