On May 12, the Turkish Ministry of National Defense announced that a soldier had died of wounds he sustained as a result of the recent mortar attack on the Kiribati Border Post in southeastern Turkish province of Gaziantep.
The attack originated from the town of Kobane in the northeastern countryside of Syria’s Aleppo. The town is held by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
The SDF denied responsibility for the attack. However, Turkey said that the attack was carried out by the People’s Protection Units (YPG) and the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), both affiliated with the group.
At least three other Turkish soldiers and a civilian were wounded as a result of the mortar attack, which coincided with rocket strikes on Turkish-occupied areas in the northern Aleppo countryside.
The Turkish Armed Forces carried out a series of strikes on Kobane and its outskirts in response to the deadly attack. According to the Turkish Ministry of National Defense, 21 fighters of the YPG and the PKK were “neutralized” as a result of the strikes. The ministry usually uses the term “neutralize” to indicate that the fighters in question were either killed or wounded.
The deadly mortar attack was likely a response to the May 11 Turkish drone strikes on Kobane, which claimed the life of Turkish member of the SDF.
Turkish forces and the SDF have been exchanging attacks in northern and northeastern Syria for the last few months. This could soon lead to a full-on military confrontation between the two sides.

Bosniaks will suffer the same. Bosnian territory should be shared between the Serbs, the Croats and the Slovenes.
Yeah.
Turkey is facing severe economic and financial difficulties. It is unlikely that they would do anything that will cost them a lot. It would only accelerate their demise and further weaken Erdogans position. People already believe that his policies are not working and hurting them even more (opposition parties have been gaining huge momentum last couple of months). Erdogan is somehow trapped in this, not being able to pursue his own military ambitions and caring for his country. The outlook is not in his favor.
The opposition are worse. They are puppets of the globalists.
