Turkey is testing its the S-400 air defense system obtained from Russia by detecting and tracking US F-35 and F-22 fighter jets, according to media reports circulating online.
Over the past few days, Turkish and Russian pedia outlets have repeatedly speculated that the S-400 system deployed at Murted Air Base on outskirts of Turkish capital of Ankara.
In 2019, Turkey used its Air Force F-16 jets to test the S-400 and the system demonstrated high capabilities. In 2020, as tensions between the US and Turkey, as well as between Turkey and other NATO members were growing, Ankara allegedly used the S-400 to track US warplanes operating in the region.

Earlier, the Turkish leadership declared that the S-400 system that the country has is set to be fully operational in 2020. In June 2020, the head of Turkey’s Defense Industries Administration also declared that Ankara is considering an option to buy more S-400 systems from Russia.

It’s very strange that you don’t understand that Russia and China are generations ahead of the US in missile, radar and EW capabilities, meaning they are far ahead of the US in conventional capabilities, especially considering the failing weapons systems in the US arsenal. The only thing the US has left is its strategic nuclear arsenal. It no longer has the technical expertise to close the gap, having deliberately ceded the leadership to China over the last 20 years along with most of its manufacturing capabilities.

US infantry on patrol meets opposition they can call in an air strike that includes a pair of strike aircraft, a pair of fighters flying cover, a refuelling tanker, an AWAC all coming from an aircraft carrier with 5000 men supported by a carrier group of 15 – 20 ships. The aircraft cost on average $2000 / hr to operate and require days to a week of maintenance between sorties …. then there’s the cost of ordinance.
They could also call in arty strike which involves a platoon of gunners and a radio or use their own mortars and RPG’s. The former solution costs $$$ tens of millions the latter costs thousands but at the risk of sending home US soldiers in body bags which irritates the taxpayer.
What other country on earth can afford such luxury …. they are in effect keeping the taxpayer happy by spending their own money and a big chunk of than money ends up in the MIC pockets.

There is no countermeasures against it. Aside from that Turkey only got a dumbed down version. Even that is good enough to defeat the Craptor and the Flop-35. The S-400 is so advanced most people don’t even realize it.
