Turkey, U.S. To Resume Work On Manbij Roadmap: Turkish Defense Minister

Click to see full-size image, by the Ministry of Defense of Turkey

Turkey and the U.S. will resume working on the roadmap for Syria’s Manbij in order to implement it as fast as possible, Turkish Minister of Defense Hulusi Akar told the Anadolu Agency on February 23.

Akar arrived in Washington a day earlier together with Chief of General Staff Yasar Guler to discuss Syria and other issues with their U.S. counterparts. According to the Anadolu Agency, he reminded the U.S. delegations during the meeting that there should be no authority gap during troops withdrawal from Syria.

Last year, Turkey and the U.S. agreed on the roadmap that should force the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) to withdraw from Manbij and replace the local administration with one loyal to Ankara. However, Washington has never complied with the plan.

The situation around the northern city escalated in late 2018 when U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he will withdraw all his forces from Syria. Turkey began massing its proxies around Manbij and several units of the Russian Military Police and the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) were deployed within the Kurdish-controlled area.

Later, Trump retracted his decision by keeping U.S. troops [200-400] in Syria. Therefore, Ankara is apparently working to hold the U.S. responsible for its commitments within the roadmap agreement.

Earlier in February, a Turkish Presidential spokesman revealed that Ankara and Moscow have come to terms that the roadmap on Manbij should be implemented in line with the accords between the US and Turkey. This means that the roadmap does once again have chances to be implemented.

There has been an ongoing attempt to get the Turks and the Kurds to agree on a partition mechanism. So that the secession of NE Syria can proceed to some type of formal state that the US can extend diplomatic recognition to.

What the Turks are going to do is to agree to this eventually in some format if the NE and Al-Tanf are abandoned by the Syrian government coalition. The only way that I can see for this to be avoided is to finish the clearing operation in Idlib and expand the no fly zone over all of Syria and put the escalation management capabilities in place to deter airstrikes originating from outside of Syria in place. And then clearing Al-Tanf and the NE by agreement and if necessary by force on a case by case basis.

If anyone has a viable alternative solution to getting the US out of Syria, I’m not aware of it. It’s clear that the US withdrawal is off, and was probably a can kicking exercise to buy time from it’s inception. And one that may be attempted again to forestall the military upgrades for the no fly zone expansion and escalation management implementation.

The US has played it’s hand and shown itself to be a scammer. I would just move ahead with the eviction proceedings now, rather than waiting, and wait for the US and it’s partners in crime to come back to the negotiating table and see what they offer. And then probably tell them that promises without action aren’t good enough.

RichardD

Given the NATO objection to clearing the Idlib terror zone. The same escalation management capabilities necessary to deter airstrikes from outside Syria over Al-Tanf and the NE, will probably also be necessary for the Idlib clearing operations. So that if NATO attempts to prevent it by force using some false flag or humanitarian pretext. They’l be up against a response that is more than they want to get involved with.

They are a very stylish plane and perform very well. They are like Ferrari’s, the benchmark that all others are measured against.

RichardD

It’s the pinnacle, or close to it of manual flight, before computers took over.

What does a Panzer have to do with my comment?

PZIVJ

Surely you jest Richard. How about JgPZ IV, it looks cooler. :) https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/ce8a419671664f54c302cb5c5417faa75f253ce0d9d10ef0986fdba8a2b5ad17.jpg

RichardD

What does any of this have to do with my comments?

PZIVJ

Your comments are fine and informative. We are just sharing pix of military hardware. Some of the museum pieces are good to look at also.

This is a drone that I’ve recently purchased for contact work, particularly bigfoot encounters:

The camera holder is fixtured for Gopro 3 and 4 vintage cameras:

This is Gopro 4 video shot from a comparable setup:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hbI-NBezLk

This is a professional grade 4 track directional digital stereo recorder and windscreen: https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/6f5bec63c15e1bc860b51a4ef919f44115f0c475e959bec1e1447a04e0c8def4.jpg

The recorder can be used for directional location isolation using the readout on the screen of a creature or creatures that start yelling at me or calling out to me in the wilderness on contact ops. So that I have a better idea of exactly where the sound is coming from, and so that it can be analysed later if I make it out with the equipment intact. It can also be used for high quality recording of audible ship drive sounds of the type that happened before the bigfoot encounter 2 summers ago.

The camera holder on the drone is hinged and adjustable and can be used to attach a subcompact 3 inch screen android phone, with a Seek Compact Pro thermal imager plugged into the micro usb slot, and a 360 lumen sub compact Nitecore flashlight, rather than a Gopro. That combined weigh about the same as a Gopro 4, or maybe 25% more. So that it’s within the drone’s payload capacity.

This provides 24 hour thermal and audio visual live stream and recording back to my smartphone on the flight controller. Android phones have a native wifi direct 200 yard range interconnect capability as part of their software. That allows phones to be connected using wifi without a cell signal. The Black Hawk drone has a 15 to 17 minute flight time empty, and a 300 yard range.

If I have the drone with me at the campsite and I start to get unidentified activity on or near the ground, from a lifeform or probe. I can put the drone up for a perimeter check to try to identify what is causing it and make a friend or foe threat assessment. It’s light enough to carry on hikes. But is fragile when assembled. There are fold-able drones for that that I haven’t taken the time to research extensively. This is a starter drone that was affordable, of good quality, and will do most of what I want within it’s range.

PZIVJ

Small quad copter must be impossible to operate in hilly forest terrain. Hit a branch, and black hawk down.

RichardD

They have eyewear that you can put on that helps pilot them. So that you’re looking at the terrain from the camera’s view point. The Black Hawk is an entry level aerobatic/racing drone. It doesn’t have all of the sensors, gps and other controls that many drones do. What it lacks in that was used for responsiveness, speed and maneuverability. It’s a 6 axis rather than 4 axis flight control. With pilot glasses you could probably get up close to the bigfoot or probe and follow them through the woods.

Dual android devices will give you gps locations of both devices.

The phones and glasses can probably be split screen or superimposed with thermal and visual, with the light on at night.

You can get these new starting at about $2,000.00. I’ll probably upgrade to something like this once I gain proficiency with what I have. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyFmtHbkgak

PZIVJ

Nice try with the edit Richard. By the way you did not make a comment, only showed a pix. LOL

RichardD

I just didn’t see the relevance of the tank picture to the escalation control upgrades mentioned in the comment that the pictures are meant to illustrate.

PZIVJ

What the hell has relevance have to to do with it ! You could not perceive the joke in the first place and still can not. Also computers do not have a sense of humor and understanding.

RichardD

Yes, that’s correct, I didn’t see the humor in it. We have different senses of humor.

PZIVJ

OMG Am I having a discussion with a bot ?

RichardD

No, do you think that a bot takes pictures of their stuff in front of their computer?

Jens Holm

You certainly take many, which with Your lousy science fiction make no sense.

Jens Holm

Its not about humor. It all the crap You write, we have to pass by. Were You involved in the ISIS defence lines as well.

Yerrrh why not. You will get another one just as relevant. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/204fc714b835bf06af9db097d898d2ef8870f8ef2fc386e6c58701dd81872582.jpg

“The Kh-47M2 Kinzhal (“Dagger”) is a Russian nuclear-capable air-launched ballistic missile.[1] It has a claimed range of more than 2,000 km (1,200 mi), Mach 10 speed, and an ability to perform evasive maneuvers at every stage of the flight. It can carry both conventional and nuclear warheads[2] and can be launched from Tu-22M3 bombers or MiG-31K interceptors.”

The Turks the Jews and the Americans are all the same, totally amoral and full of greed. They will all meet the same fate in the end.

PZIVJ

I would like to retire in Australia to cheat fate. Could you recommend a very small coastal town without Madmax?

Sinbad2

Google Byron Bay, nice subtropical climate.

Jens Holm

That mainly tell a lot about Yourself.

No surprise that they have always been allies. A bunch of scum who have zero respect for truth, reality, or facts. To be fair though the reason Turkroaches and Ameritards are scum is because they have been heavily brainwashed by Jews for decades if not centuries. Americans have been waking up to some degree lately, can’t say the same about Turds.

Jens Holm

A totally biased Turkish version.

1) USA did not say that at all & 2) None can rely on, what Trump says.

Only the candy floss in Disney land was for real.

Turks not even try to understand, that Trump is no Dictator – Trump is on the same level.

To strange elephnats trying to communictate with each others behind. No respect from here. How can people like them be Presidents at all ?

Xoli Xoli

Total interference in sovereign state without shame.Syria military presence in Lebanon was a big concern for USA world terrorist state and double standard UN Security council.
