At least seven civilians were killed and 21 others were injured in a series of Turkish airstrikes that targeted the vicinity of the border town of Ras al-Ayn in northern al-Hasakah, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on October 18.
According to the UK-based monitoring group, the airstrikes targeted the villages and areas of Abu Rasin, Bab al-Khair, Umm Ushbah and Madub’a around Ras al-Ayn.
“The airstrikes also killed four fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF),” the SOHR’s report reads.
The Turkish airstrikes represent yet another violation of the ceasefire in northeast Syria, which was announced by U.S. Vice President Mike Pence a day earlier. The Turkish military and its Syrian proxies shelled Ras al-Ayn and its vicinity early in the morning
The ceasefire, which will last for 120 hours, should allow Kurdish fighters to withdraw from the designated 32 km deep “safe-zone” along the border with Turkey.
Dozens of injured people are still trapped inside Ras al-Ayn. First responders in northeast Syria are trying to evacuate them now. However, the continues Turkish attack is blocking the road to the town.
Propaganda
That’s right – The satellite dish fitter from Coventry says Turks have bombed during the ceasefire and every one here believes him.
But When he accuses Assad or Putin…… SOHR tells lies!!!
