SAA has been in position to take Al Baba since years. Now, FSA will be in position to take Al-bab, creating a big threat to Aleppo.
War is an art and USA mastered this art. Don’t be naive or kind during war times. It’s a big big error.
SAA would not be able to take Al Bab because they would be constantly attacked on other fronts.
That’s the purpose of the war. If SAA prefers saying in their beds. No problem.
Taking Al-bab should have been a priority because it’s prevent the creation of the so-called US Rojava and prevent Turkey to expand to south.
You hit two targets with one bullet.
The SAA is in a precarious position with only one resupply road to Aleppo which has been cut off a few times in the past. When they tried to move towards Raqqa, the SAA got routed.
Then they got it through their thick skulls that the russians were right, they need to consolidate , especially around Damascus and take over Aleppo. This has led to successes, the Ghouta pockets of resistance are also gone, Aleppo is sieged tighter than ever before and the Kurds, Turks and ISIS are fighting among themselves for sunni-fominated shithole desert territories.
This war is being won by the Assad/Iran/Russia coalition, in case you were confused. You should be quiet and let Russia and Iran work their magic and not play armchair general.
The shithole desert territories is plenty of oil and gaz in case you didn’t know. And if you let USA take the desert, they will pass oil pipe line from gulf states to Ukraine via Turkey. And Ukraine will be russian gaz independent.

You don’t understand at all; the SAA lack the men. They can barely hold onto what they have, let alone go gallivanting across the country taking what they please. They tried to go for Tabaqa and it was an abysmal failure, they’ve tried to reach Deir Ezzor only for the same to happen, they can’t do shit all.

there are 10 million people on territory controlled by Assad. They should mobilize 100 000 men. If you give them only machine guns, granades and rpg´s, the total SAA would have enough manpower.
