On March 1, the Turkish Army and its proxies from the Free Syrian Army (FSA) captured the villages of Ceinke, Haydar, Kharab Suluq and three key hills between them in the Rajo district northwest of the city of Afrin, according to sources linked to the FSA.
Turkish sources said that warplanes of the Turkish Air Force (TAF) had supported the army’s attack and had targeted several positions of the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) in the villages of Haj Khalil, Badinli and Mabata in the Rajo district.
Meanwhile, the Turkish General Staff announced in an official statement that the Turkish Army had “neutralized” 2,222 fighters of the YPG in the Afrin area since the beginning of its military operation there on January 20. The Turkish General Staff uses the term “neutralized” to imply the fighters in question either surrendered or were killed or captured, according to the Turkish Anadolu Agency.
Additionally, Anadolu Agency reported that special forces of the Turkish Police and Gendarmerie had begun supporting the army in its ongoing military operation in Afrin. Special forces are currently stationed near the districts of Jandaris and Raju, according to the source.
Turkish Police and Gendarmerie special forces will participate in a new phase of the Turkish Army military operation, which will target “the center of the Afrin area”, according to Anadolu Agency’s report. The new phase will allegedly begin in the upcoming days.

Why do they attack a village? So they can gather ‘taxes’??
To take it simply
USA will get rid of kurds after having used them.
FSA will take Afrin and in east Euphrate, kurds are a minority. USA will surely create an arab faction to rule east Syria.
Of course, Russia will let this happen and like I said in the begining of the war, you will have east and west Syria just like east and west Germany, north-south Korea, ….
Russia and USA will share Syria. Russia rule west and USA rule east.
SDF/YPG forces feel an urgent need to kill as many special forces as possible for their role in SE Turkish murder of many civillians, atrocities.
Reports are that of the 1200 arrived in Afrin, there are already several killed and therefore it will not be 1200 returning, not even 1200 assaulting Afrin city. How many will remain to be able to assault the city itself?
Yes DN, the Kurds are losing, and will continue to lose until they allow the restoration of Syrian government administration in the areas that they are trying to secede with.

Soon some of them will find their way into Afrin.
Today several villages retaken by SDF forces. The attacks on the main axis’s still not able to advance, more and more turkish units sucked into Afrin.
What a performance by the military joke of early 2018.
The SDF has no heavy weapons and they’re not going to get any. All of the man power in the world isn’t going to help them.
It looks like the Turks are going to advance to the outskirts of Afrin City before the Kurds do anything sensible. And if they don’t it looks like it will be surrounded and overrun. Or maybe the Syrian government coalition will intervene and push north to reestablish Syrian government coalition administration by force if necessary. Either way it’s not looking good for the Israelistani Kurd secessionists. Hopefully they’l do the sensible thing and cooperate with the Syrian government.

“Turkish Police and Gendarmerie special forces will participate in a new phase of the Turkish Army military operation” – Why are they sending police forces into an active front? Or are they just securing their stolen land behind it?
