Turkish Army Loses 17 Servicemen & 30 Armoured Vehicles in Northern Syria

Seventeen servicemen of the Turkish Army have lost their lives since the beginning of Turkish Operation Euphrates Shield in the northern part of the Syrian province of Aleppo, the Turkish Defense Ministry reported on Friday.

The majority of these losses were inflicted by blows of suicide bombers of the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group and shelling by terrorists. However, it is possible that some of them were killed in fighting with the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

Nevertheless, Ankara continues to insist that the Syrian Air Force is responsible for deaths of three Turkish soldiers to the west of al-Bab on November 24. Earlier, a representative of the Syrian Air Force denied this information.

In addition to the casualties, the Turkish Army has lost at least 30 armored vehicles (tanks, self-propelled guns and armored fighting vehicles) during the operation in the north of Syria. Some of them were lost in the border areas and one self-propelled gun was hit by IS terrorists with an antitank guided missile on the territory of Turkey.

I no its not chess, but it could be nice having some estimates of loses by FSA, ISIS, Kurds and SAA.

And does that include Latakia sector/Turkish Mountains. . .

Likely they lost 100 or 200 soldiers. They underestimated their losses with PRK too.

I agree. Looking at typical loss rates, and considering forces deployed (2 armoured/mechanised brigades + 1/2 battalion commandos) , if they lost 30 AFVs, @100 dead and 180 wounded would be their likely real losses.
