On February 23, the Turkish Army and its proxies from the Free Syrian Army captured the village of Bafler in the Jandaris district west of the city of Afrin as well as the village of Maskah in the district of Rajo northwest of the city, according to the Turkish Anadolu Agency.
Moreover, Turkish and Syrian opposition sources said that Turkish Air Force (TAF) warplanes had conducted several airstrikes on positions of the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) north, east and northwest of Afrin over the last 24 hours.

YPG fighters conducted a hit and run attack on a position of the Turkish Army in the village of Hekece in the Sheikh al-Hadid district west of Afrin, according to the YPG press. The source claimed that YPG fighters had killed eight fighters of the Turkish-backed FSA and had destroyed their position.
The Kurdish Hawar News Agency (ANAH) also reported that YPG fighters had destroyed two vehicles of the Turkish Army with ATGMs in the villages of Elaqina and Dayr Sawwan in the Shara district north of Afrin.
Meanwhile, Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan revealed during a meeting with member of his party, the Justice and Development Party (AKP), that the Turkish Army is planning to besiege the city of Afrin in order to “cut the terrorists’ external contacts,” according to the Turkish news outlet Yeni Safak.
Experts doubted Erdogan’s military plans, as the YPG resistance will become more and more effective and aggressive as the Turkish Army and its proxies approach the urban areas in the center of the Afrin area.

Erdogan will take over Afrin. He is indeed besieging Afrin circling the area. Once done, he has plenty of time to advance towards Afrin. People in this region will run out of food, water and ammos.

Remember that Turkey was with Germany during WW1 and sign a pact of non agression with Germany in WW2.

Russians did not create anything in Georgia, people there declared independence, Georgia accepted russian peacemakers, they did not invade like the turkish army in Cyprus (or today in Syria).
