The National Syrian Army (NSA) 3rd Corps announced on June 14 that their fighters had successfully raided a position of the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) and the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) near the town of Sewarxa in northern Aleppo.
In the course of the attack, NSA fighters captured a Konkurs anti-tank guided missiles (ATGM) launcher and two missiles.
This type of anti-tank weapons was extensively used by Kurdish forces against the Turkish military and its proxies over the last few months, especially around the occupied area of Afrin.
The NSA, which was formed by the Turkey in late 2017, stepped up its security operations around Afrin and Euphrates Shield (ES) areas recently in what appears to be an attempt to put an end to Kurdish forces’ attacks. These operations have failed to achieve this goal, so far.
Big deal.
