The National Front for Liberation (NFL) claimed on November 15 that its militants had repelled an attack by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in southern Idlib.
In a press released, the Turkish-backed group said that the failed attack targeted the village of Tell Dam in southern Idlib, claiming that several Syrian service members were killed or injured.
Pro-government activists and sources in the SAA denied that such an attack took place. No losses in the army’s ranks were reported.
A day earlier, the SAA launched a ground attack in southeastern Idlib. Army units, backed by the Russian Aerospace Forces, captured the town of the town of Luwaybidah and the nearby Khaznah Hill.
Despite joining the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA), the NFL maintained a presence in the Greater Idlib region, where its militants are supporting Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and other al-Qaeda-affiliated groups.
If I was the Russian I would let the iblid militants feel the might of the Russians navy and air forces, the front lines would be dust….
Yes, but if you were Putin, rather you will try to please Erdogan.
If I were Putin, I wouldn’t please Erdowahn and care about getting him out of the NATO. I’d help the SAA fighting the Jihadi terrorists and to restore the territorial integrity.
Erdogan hasn’t said a thing about the SAA’s latest ground assault and retaking of more territory, guess what that means, or should I say might mean. Is Erdogan finally going to abandon his proxies in Idlib, I certainly hope so, but I’m not going to get too excited, I’ve been disappointed 13 times before.
Yes, that would be an ideal situation. Howerver, I really doubt that Turkey leaves alone its terrorists at Idlib.
I doubt it too, it’s more like wishful thinking.
