Turkish-Backed Militants Launch Large Attack South Of Ras Al-Ayn, Capture Several Villages

Support SouthFront

The so-called Syrian National Army (SNA) launched on October 30 a large attack south of the border town of Ras al-Ayn in northern al-Hasakah with a direct support from the Turkish military.

The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) clashed with the SNA in the area. The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) also attempted to repel the attack.

“Heavy clashes between the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Turkish occupation forces in Tell Ward in Ras al-Ayn’s countryside,” a short press release by the SANA reads.

Despite these efforts, SNA militants captured the villages of al-Mahmodiyah, al-Darbu, al-Manakh, al-Sibatiyah, Rajlah al-Hamrah, al-Jamilyah and al-Qasimiyah.

Several SDF fighters and soldiers of the SAA were reportedly killed or injured, some in airstrikes carried out by Turkish unmanned combat aerial vehicles.

The attack is a blatant violation of Turkey’s agreements with Russia and the US. The SNA’s hostile actions, which appear to be supported by Ankara, could re-escalate the situation in northeastern Syria.

Yeah you would think that you jihadi supporting Israeli moron, but when the Idlib front is done with, and full attention will be brought on your friend Turkey and its jihadis. You wont be any ware around here to post your crap scumbag.

Jens Holm

Daily Muse says this game is centuries-old and was originally called “Cicero dicit fac hoc”–Latin for “Cicerosays do this.” Back in the times of Rome, when revered statesman Marcus Tullius Cicero said to do something, you did it.

Bill Wilson

The SAA will still be nibbling away at Idlib 5 years from now unless Putin decides to commit a huge number of ground troops.

Sephiroth

Humph, I wonder why didn’t the US want to deal with the Turks.

Mike

They are to traitorous even for the low standards of The U.S. and the West.

Sephiroth

Yes, indeed.

Jens Holm

Trump isnt USA even he is.

Sephiroth

He is the president of the US. Deal with it.

Jens Holm

I deal with that and also are much familiar with he is no dictator, because the power of United states are delegated to many instances as well as they actually are 52 states inside them.

More like many here should learn he has no powers as Erdogan, Macron or Assads.

Bill Wilson

Trump did that to force Putin to confront Erdogan.

Sephiroth

I don’t think so.

gino the hood

because they allowed a coup attempt and erdogen went to the russian embassy for safety

Sephiroth

That might be partly true.

Leon De Elias

My country was under Ottoman occupation for centuries before we repelled them all back,in the 17.th century..But our ancestors left us a messages from those times.. ”Never trust the Turksih, never turn your back on them..” How true..

Davki

The SAA is on the run. Having them replace the SDF was not a good idea, militarily, since they are even less capable of standing up to Turkey. ‘Nice’ move by Russia to have the SAA deploy, to feign respect for Syrian sovreingty only to have them butchered and expelled by their Turkish counterparts. It’s like lions tossing around jakals for sport. Not to worry, though! The great Sultan and the great Tsar will ultimately come to an agreement on Syria. Syrians, Kurds, huh? Footmen, who cares?

χρηστος

what kind of deal is this?SAA is there and its under attack by militants?were is the air support from Russia?or from SAF?what is really going on there?is this place supposed to be delivered to Turkey?if so why SAA soldiers fight there?what a mess
