Late on December 14, the so-called Syrian National Army (SNA) launched a new ground attack on positions of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in northern Raqqa, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).
Turkish Army artillery supported the attack, which targeted the village of Seida located a few kilometers to the north of the key town of Ain Issa. The town hosts a base of the Russian Military Police.
“There has been no information about any human losses, so far,” the SOHR’s report reads.
The Turkish-backed attack was apparently repelled by the morning of December 15. Northern Raqqa is not witnessing any clashes now.
Earlier this week, Turkish forces shelled the villages of Qiz Ali, Tabinah, Shwamah, Sarung and Khafiyah in the outskirt of Ain Issa.
These repeated attacks in northern Raqqa are a violation of the recent Russian-Turkish agreement on northeast Syria. Despite these violations, the agreement appears to be still holding up.
Well, the town is on peace corridor which is M4 highway, so Kurdish Kommunist Party (PKK/YPG) guerilla was supposed to withdraw, but probably they were noticed in fake SAA uniforms by small drones of SNA.
But the last article from SF just told us the Russians have recently formed a military force to replace the SDF in these areas, isn’t that a bit of a slap in the face for Russia, the Russians do the right thing, exactly what Erdogan and the SNA are demanding, and still they’re attacking the area and trying to take control of it. What more needs to be said, there’s nothing at all anyone can do to stop the Turks, even when you’re doing what they tell you to do they still keep fighting, how can you possibly win, you can’t, the only way you can win is to actually STOP THEM, FORCIBLY.
