The Libyan National Army (LNA) has captured a Turkish-backed Syrian militant who was fighting for the Government of National Accord (GNA).
In a video released on March 25 the militant identified himself as “Mohamad al-Muti” from Syria’s Homs. The militant was reportedly captured during clashes around the town of Ain Zara to the southeast of the capital, Tripoli.
“They took us on the promise that we will be deployed in Syria, only to find ourselves in Libya,” the militant says in the video, adding that he arrived in the country only 15 days earlier.
The militant revealed that he didn’t receive any payment from Turkey prior to his capture. Syrian militants were reportedly promised up to $2,000 a month for fighting in Libya. Recent reports, however, revealed that the payment was recently lowered.
Turkey deployed more than 4,000 Syrian militants in Libya in the last few months to support GNA forces. Ankara also supplied these forces with loads of heavy weapons.
According to the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), the number of Syrian militants killed in Libya has risen to 151. At least eight militants were killed in the last few days by the LNA.
He thought he would be used in Syria?
Since when was Syria ever thought to have a sea between Aleppo and Damascus?
I dont get : Since when was Syria ever thought to have a sea between Aleppo and Damascus?
Try again.
And you think I give a shit!
Find a friend elsewhere, you muppet.
Wow, he read him the Arabic version of the Roit Act.
Things like that happens. Reading translation of Your fx twitters and facebooks might make me give up.
But I do ask for details and do answer, if people dont understand, what I write.
This is no stupidity but a bad try.
To bad there is no translation of the wonderful words of the libyan officer.
I have asked for improvements.
The $2,000 is a defence for being there. Him and the ones having captured him should all pray 2 hours 7 times a day.
Send his head to any NATO country.
