On September 12, a Turkish combat drone carried out a number of strikes on the outskirts of the village of al-Hamam near the town of Manbij in the northeastern Aleppo countryside. The village is held by the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
The airstrikes targeted farmlands where fighters of the SDF may have been gathered. Local sources shared photos showing the aftermath of the strikes. No losses were reported.

Earlier in the morning, fighters from the Manbij Military Council, the SDF’s main formation in the northeastern Aleppo countryside, foiled an infiltration by Turkish-backed militants near the village of Umm Adas.
The Turkish drone strikes were likely a response to the SDF’s recent attacks. A tunnel bomb attack that targeted a Turkish post in the northern Aleppo countryside on September 7 claimed the life of a Turkish officer and wounded four soldiers.
Last August, a number of SDF commanders and fighters were killed in a series of drone strikes that targeted areas-held by the Kurdish-led group in northern and northeastern Syria.
Turkey appears to be expanding its drone operations against the SDF in northern and northeastern Syria. Unable to stop Turkish combat drones, the group will likely begin to launch larger and bolder attacks, like the one that took place on September 7, on the hopes of deterring Ankara.
Syria need all this land to be a Syrian land…

Actually, many SDF fighters have been killed over the last three weeks. Russia is cooperating with the SDF and these Turkish attacks are actually equal or greater in intensity than the Russian airstrikes.
