A Turkish military delegation will visit Moscow on Thursday to hold talks with Russian officials, the Ministry of National Defense of Turkey announced on Wednesday.

Citing military sources, the Anadolu Agency said that the Turkish and Russian officials will be discussing the situation in Syria. The two key issues will likely be the situation in the northern governroate of Idlib and the Turkish proposal to establish a safe-zone in the northeastern part of the country.

Last week, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a summit in Moscow. The two leaders agreed to work on additional measures to implement the demilitarized zone agreement on Idlib. However, the situation on the ground deteriorated.

Turkish outlet Star said that 20 armored vehicles were deployed in the southern province of Hatay on the border with of Syria’s Idlib ahead of the upcoming meeting in Russia. These vehicles could enter Syria later to reinforce the Turkish observation posts around Idlib.

The upcoming Turkish-Russian meeting is a part of the usual coordination between the two countries on the conflict in Syria and will not likely result in any breakthrough.

Brother Ma

Much ado about nothing. Erdogan fooled Putin and he knows it. Time for Putin and Assad to start tightening that Idlib de-escalation noose around the Turkish army that has been babysitting those headchoppers.

Turkey goes to Russia to stop any Syria intention of making an offensive on Idlib. We will see Russia reaction (with Turkey against Syria, or with Syria against Turkey).

Willing Conscience (The Truths

And what they talked about was this, how exactly are they going to coordinate this Russian/Syrian/Turkish offensive against HTS, how can they all manage to put the boot into HTS at the same time without being killed by friendly fire incidents, they have to be very careful to avoid that, since it’s probably going to be the biggest reasons for any casualties on the anti HTS coalition side, it’s not like poor old HTS are going to be killing too many enemy soldiers, just just being killed by everybody else. HTS a buffer LOL, HTS are just fish swimming in a shallow little pond, and Putin, Assad, and Erdogan all have a stick of dynamite each, and all love eating fish.
