A Turkish drone strike on the town of Qurnafl in northeast Syria has killed or injured at least five civilians, including children.
The strike, which took place late on November 20, targeted a small truck transporting civilians near the town of Qurnafl, west of the border town of Tell Abyad in northern Raqqa.
“The strike resulted in the martyrdom of two civilians, while three others were seriously wounded,” a reporter of the Hawar News Agency (ANHA) said.
The wounded civilians were transported to hospitals near the border town of Kobane, where they are receiving medical treatment now.
Earlier this month, two civilians were killed and five others were injured in a similar strike that targeted the village of al-Hishah, southeast of the key town of Ain Issa.
Turkish armed drones continue to operate over northeast Syria. The airspace of the region is tightly controlled by the U.S.-led coalition.
