Early on April 4, a Turkish combat drone targeted a quarry controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in al-Hasakah.

The drone fired a single munition at the quarry, which is located in the village of Deirka near the town of al-Malikiyah in northeastern al-Hasakah. A bulldozer was destroyed in the strike. However, no human losses were reported.

The Hawar News Agency revealed that the bulldozer was owned by a civilian, Marwan Farman. This raises a question about the real motive behind the Turkish drone strike.

The Turkish military and its proxies have been harassing the SDF for a while now. Over the last few weeks, a series of Turkish-led attacks targeted the Kurdish-led group positions in northern Raqqa and northern al-Hasakah.

In October 2019, Turkish forces invaded northeastern Syria. The SDF ended up losing a long strip of land between the town of Tell Abyad in Raqqa and Ras al-Ain in al-Hasakah.

The recent developments indicate that Turkey is still planning to expand its control in the northeastern Syria. Last year, Russia warned the SDF that Ankara is eyeing the town of Ain Issa in northern Raqqa. The town is located right on the M4 highway which links Raqqa with al-Haskalah and Aleppo.

Why dont You look things up?

Concrete Mike

I dont have to look that up, as I have actual life experience and a real job. In that real.job, i have to operate all the wonderful machines.

So when a journalist call.every yellow painted machine a bulldozer, perhaps its the journalist who should look things up, instead of being lazy about it can call everything a bulldozer.

Look that up doophus

Jens Holm

We have both here with or without stearwheel.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

Wow this is a new development, an attack against an area where the US forces are deployed, I’m pretty sure that’s a first. This strike was right near the Turkish border and only 5km away from the Iraqi border, which makes me think the Turks were targeting PKK fighters fleeing Turkey and heading to northern Iraq via Syria, but if that’s not the case it’s going to be a very worrying development for the SDC/SDF, and for the US. Is Erdogan trying to push Biden’s buttons so he can gauge the US’s responses, or has he coordinated this strike with the US as part of a new agreement with Biden, I suspect he’s more likely pushing Biden’s buttons.

Jens Holm

PKK fighters are no fleeing there at all.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

Are you really sure about that, Erdogan doesn’t agree with you, and neither does anyone else for that matter, LOL.

Google search ‘Operation Claw’, and find out something you don’t know. The Turks are attacking PKK positions in northern Iraq all the time, and sadly the locals are being killed in airstrikes on the odd occasion, even the KRG has called on Turkey to stop killing innocent civilians in these operations, Iran also targets anti Iranian insurgents living in northern Iraq from time to time.

This is Syria – or was.

Turkey may sign space cooperation agreement with Russia soon ANKARA, April 5. /TASS/. Turkey may sign an agreement with Russia soon on cooperation in space, the chief of Turkey’s space agency Serdar Huseyn Yildirim told TASS in an interview ahead of the 60th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin’s space flight.

“We are building bilateral relations with countries and with international organizations, which we have identified in accordance with our national goals. We keep working on common conditions of cooperation with different countries, including Russia. We have plans for signing an agreement in the near future,” Yildirim said.

“Space exploration is a very complex and costly work. It requires high technologies, and for this reason international cooperation is very important in this field. Our goal at the international level is to establish firm relations of partnership with regional partners and with our neighbors. As far as Russia is concerned, we have vast opportunities in many fields of cooperation. We believe that we will be able to make much faster progress, if we manage to build firm relations of partnership based on mutually beneficial cooperation,” he said. https://tass.com/science/1274035
