A Turkish drone strike targeted on January 9 a checkpoint of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the northern Raqqa countryside.
The Hawar News Agency (ANHA) said that a checkpoint of the SDF’s security forces, known as Asayish, near the town of Ain Issa was targeted by a Turkish unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV).
ANHA’s reporter in the region said that the strike injured two people, without clarifying if any of them were personnel of the Asayish.
Clashes between Turkish forces and the SDF renewed late on January 8. The clashes are mainly taking place northeast of the town of Tell Tamr in northern al-Hasakah and south of the border town of Tell Abyad in northern Raqqa.
The Turkish strike appears to be a response to the recent bombings in northern al-Hasakah, which claimed the lives of four Turkish service members. Ankara held the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) responsible for the attacks.
Turd check point…to “check”what? to “check” if Americunt’s are still around?
Usually communist Kurds wear fake SAA uniforms, So, Turkey had to consult Russians first about any Syrian soldier in the region, then after assurance, Turkey hit the fake SAA soldiers. That’s why fake news says Turkey is fighting with SAA. Russia has coordination with Turkey, not with the communist guerilla.
