The Turkish military and the so-called National Syrian Army (NSA) advanced on October 13 west of the town of Ras al-Ayn in the northern al-Hasakah countryside, capturing several villages along the border with Turkey.

Turkish forces imposed control of the villages of Tell Khanzir, Khirbit al-Banat, al-Baluja, al-Aziziyah, Abu al-Sun, Mukhtlah and Mruriyah without facing any serious resistance from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

At the same time, Turkish forces advanced south of Ras al-Ayn cutting the main road leading to the town in what appears to be an attempt remaining Kurdish forces there.

A day earlier, militants of the NSA stormed Ras al-Ayn, capturing key positions in the town’s northern part. However, SDF fighters launched a counter-attack hours later and managed to recapture much of the town by the morning of October 13.

Despite the SDF’s fierce resistance, Turkish forces will likely capture the town in the upcoming few hours. Earlier, the border town of Tell Abyad, 120 km to the west, fell into the hands of Turkish forces.

These are Kurdish minority areas. It will be slower going in Kurdish majority areas. If it reaches that stage. The SDF received billions of dollars worth of military equipment. Including hundreds of armored and other vehicles from the US. They’re no match for the Turkish military. But they have enough gear to make taking built up areas difficult even for a national military without large scale death and destruction.

JerryDrake

Nope. This is just your assumption because you did not wage the war. Equipment is pretty irrelevant because in C4I2, Kurds does not have first three of C and both I, and without that they are just a bunch of targets.

Kurds have no air power give the land to real man #Saa and.friends

What are you talking about?

JerryDrake

Exactly that… YOU do not know what I am talking about, but it is very easy to learn – just search for C4I2…

RichardD

You’re wasting my time with your idiocy.

Go visits to the eye doctor. C4I2 (not 12). C4I2 stands for Command, Control, Communications, Computing, Intelligence and Information Systems Military thing, if you were connected to the military in any way you would know… But nooooo… you found dresses!

RichardD

You’re a complete moron. The search was for c412, not c12. The US spent $2 billion arming the Kurds. If you think that they didn’t provide them with communications and computer gear. Then you’re the one who doesn’t know what they’re talking about.

Wonder when the sharia and head-chopping will start.

That was all done by Jews and the BS Bank owned media.
