Turkish Forces Attack Syrian Army Positions In Northern Al-Hasakah

Illustrative image

The so-called Syrian National Army (SNA) launched on November 9 a large-scale attack on Syrian Arab Army (SAA) positions in the northern al-Hasakah countryside.

Local sources said that the SNA militants are attacking army positions in the village of Umm Sha’Fah and its outskirt with direct support from the Turkish military.

Turkish artillery and battle tanks are reportedly shelling the SAA’s positions in the village, which is located northwest of the town of Tell Tamr. Army equipment were also targeted by Turkish combat drones.

“Intense clashes are taking place in the village of Umm Sha’Fah in Ras al-Ayn countryside with heavy and medium weapons between the Syrian Arab Army and Turkish occupation forces as well as their mercenaries,” the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported in al-Hasakah said.

According to the Hawar News Agency (ANHA), at least three Syrian service members have been killed and four others have been injured, so far.

SAA units and fighters of the Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are still holding onto their positions inside Umm Sha’Fah, which is expected to be stormed by Turkish forces.

If Turkish forces proper attack Syrian Army units, then expect another coup attempt against Erdogan.

You can call me Al

The so-called Syrian National Army (SNA)………..

Jens Holm

So what

Britam

To all: If, as seems probable, the first coup attempt was at the behest of American “Deep State” interests, and the Russians ‘intervened’ to help out Erdogan, then the stage is set. Erdogan would be beholden to Russian ‘interests.’ So, to stab his Russian benefactors in the back is not a wise move on Erdogan’s part. Either the Russians let the Americans know that if they try and remove Erdogan again, Russia will step aside, or the Russians themselves will foment internal trouble for Erdogan. Always keep in mind that Erdogan is not Turkey, as much as he dreams of rebuilding the “Sublime Porte.” The region has thousands of years of history, and everyone there, it seems, have very long memories.

Debunking Arrogance

The coup was meant for a different reason. it was intended to help Erdogan get rid of powerful rivals in the military and other sectors of the society. It worked. Today, the Turkish army does not like Erdogan’s policies in Syria but cannot do otherwise.

AJ

So much for the agreement with Erdo for joint patrols of the border region. Its one thing for militants aligned with Turkey to attack its quite another if Turkish army units are helping them.

ISIS: can we have Turkish army uniforms? Turkey: Of course, take this. ISIS: Thank you very much my friend, nice uniform, we are now the Syrian National Army. Seriously Turks? Direct support? is there no other choice besides these headchoppers? Send your regular army, it will be more honorable.

I suggest the title of the article be changed to: “How the Astana Process works in practice”

Any news of our ‘Indian’ friend by the way? Via email perhaps.

You can call me Al

Not directly, but he came up on SF 19 days ago. He will be back when he choses.

Anyway how are you ?. Looking forward to Christmas ?.

FlorianGeyer

Weather wise and crowd wise , I have never really been a fan of Christmas. Its a joyous family thing and for children of course. Kids like playing in the snow:)

How about you, I hope you are well and stress free. I feel that next year will be eventful. In good ways hopefully. But that depends on ones standpoints of course.

You can call me Al

All goo, I am going back to the UK, good old Manchester with the “remaining” family. Family and English food – what can be better !!!?.

S Melanson

Good one, thanks. One takeaway point is that the veneer of all for a good cause is gone to reveal the very ugly truth. This is an important and necessary step in the right direction as it shows truth is winning… and in the end, will prevail.

Redadmiral

Excellent link Al. Yanki vermin telling it exactly as they do it.

Breaking news!!! The Astana Process and the MH17 Crash Inquiry merged into a single entity called Grand Sultan Erdogan’s Ottoman Project.

Interview with Grand Sultan Erdogan the Magnificent

Reporter: Merger? What was the motivation?

Erdogan: The merger should not be surprising as we had a natural fit that will realize great synergies. The similarities outweigh the differences and I am sure we can work the differences out.

Reporter: What do you see as the similarities?

Erdogan: There are many but to start, I point out both Astana and MH17 JIT are structured very similarly and appropriately. I am heading the merged entity and Turkey decides what can be said in any announcements and directives given our total neutrality regarding Syrian Sovereignty.

Reporter interrupts: Damascus seems to differ as they claim your military have seriously violated Syrian territorial integrity by illegal occupation of large areas of Syrian territory. How do you respond to Damascus?

Erdogan: You fail to understand how the merged entity works, but can be forgiven knowing that Malaysia was given observer status which was a mistake. We have gone a step further in that Syria is not a part of the merged entity at all and Malaysia has also been removed as they both have no business being a part of this project. So the answer to your question is that it is irrelevant what Syria thinks.

Reporter: I see. Well Ukraine and Russia are part of the new entity but are at odds with each other on many issues including MH17. How will that be reconciled?

Erdogan: Good question and we are already ahead of you on that. Putin and Kolomoisky are hammering out the final details of a deconfliction agreement and the only major item remaining to work out is who gets screwed by the agreement.

Reporter: Is Zelensky not involved in this?

Erdogan: Oh, Zelensky, well I heard he played a very positive role serving coffee and cupcakes that were absolutely delicious… Oh, wait, a text… I have to go

Reporter: Something urgent?

Erdogan: Well, important I would say. I am to introduce legislation for the annexation of Afrin because the people of Afrin hate Assad and want to be part of the Ottoman… I mean Turkey… Oh, and those rumors we engaged in demographic engineering in Afrin is a total lie…

Satire of well informed reality is always a powerful voice.

Nicely done Sir. :)

Rhodium 10

Turkey like Israel and US&NATO play in the same team…it is to invade Syria using Puppets terrorist( ISIS-FSA-Al Qaeda) or directly its armed forces attacking Syrian army and taking lands ( Golan, Al Tanf, Idlib,Northeast Syria and Petrol fields..)….SDF cannot play in both teams!…

Jens Holm

SDFs play their own side.

Hanny Benny

turkey = REAL ISIS !!! (500 years devsirme childabduction)

Jens Holm

If thats true,You shouldnt be able to write at all.

Rafik Chauhan

its time for SAA to directly attack Turkish army who are in Syrian land. no Mercy.

Jens Holm

They dont have troops for that at all. They send in anything they have and as ususal probatly will loose in lack of supply as well.

Defence…

King Cliff

If was the Syrian military I would answer with drones and fighter bombers.

Debunking Arrogance

they are just trying to replace SDF with a force acceptable to both US and Turkey. The war over Syria just took a more deadly turn.

gustavo

USA working plan ?, but Russia still support Turkey invasion, am I wrong ? I really wish to be wrong.

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

i really cant stand erdogan and turkey anymore, cannot wait for the day they get the ass kicking they deserve
