Turkish Forces Captured 415km2 In Syria's Afrin Area - Erdogan

On February 23, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkish forces had seized 415 km2 and had neutralized over 1,800 ‘terrorists’ since the start of Operation Olive Branch in the Syrian area of Afrin on January 20.

“We have neutralized 1,873 terrorists and have an area of 415 square kilometers under our control,” Erdogan said at a meeting with provincial heads of his ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party in Ankara. “The operation will continue with a new strategy once Afrin’s city center is surrounded, which will soon happen, and the terrorists are cut off from outside contact.”

The president claimed that the operation’s speed will increase and then continued:

“We will first clear Manbij from terrorists, and then will continue on our way until we make all of the west of the Euphrates safe for us and our Syrian brothers.”

Earlier on the same day, the Turkish General Staff said that Turkish forces had neutralized 1,873 ‘terrorists’ since the start of the operation in Afrin.

Dick Cheney 4 potus israel 1st

Turkey will kick syrias ass

jorge

Troll bastard (information given by the pellory of the trolls). Peculiarities: this troll bastard is a rabbi.

jorge

Information to the trolls: all troll that will donate wil be considered a troll half bastard or a real legitimous troll bastard, and will have permission to go in the green buses.

Promitheas Apollonious

are the green buses, marked for shelling?

jorge

We must ask to the syrian governmment

mhtsaropinigitakis

yes just like the white pickup truck the other day…full of nuclear shit and mongoloids!!

gustavo

you dream.

Wahid Algiers

And you like fat ugly Dick Cheney’ s and Israel# s ass you fucken Maroc.

Rob

Israeli, Turkish, US and UK armies are hiding behind terrorists in Syria. They have hostage whole Syrian nation. Syrian and Russian armies are eliminating their hideouts from Syria. This will bring everlasting peace, prosperity and strength to Syria.

Serious

Syrians are too weak. They are being bullied in their own home and they say nothing !!!

Sadly, Erdogan is doing what Assad should have done.

Erdogan is talking about destroying SDF. Assad is talking about I don’t know what.

jorge

Good day my dear Serious, do you donate?

gustavo

Er-dog-an can say whatever fool thing cross his mind, he is a politician. Reality is different thing.

Frane Frlan

That’s 45×10 km. So, after a month of operation, Turkish invincible forces penetrated aprox. 10 km in deep of the territory they try to occupy. Amazing advance.

Wahid Algiers

The most of it was conquered by passing through FSA-traitors lines in the south without a fight and by the same traitors in the northern parts. This girlies advance like a turtle with two legs. At it is well-known that the FSA-proxies are not able to keep ground when they are under attack. Poor Turkomans are dreaming the 2-leg-turtle-dream. Awful.

Frane Frlan

It is more about terrain. The advance is limited on lowlands, where they have massive armour engagement, and complete fire control, which is exactly 10-15 km from where they started. What is the estimate of FSA terrorist numbers engaged in Afrin?

Wahid Algiers

Or 83 km long and 5 km deep. In ONE month. LOL.

dutchnational

That is one of their fake reporters called it a blitze attack. They could not even get the word right.

dutchnational

Wow, 17% of the surface and 1% of the population “liberated”. Taking hamlets of between 10 to 50 houses sometime less than a mile from the border situated reported as “great” victories, proving the rephrased saying “how “great” is he who calls hinself a turk.

The new meaning of Turk is getting to be a loud mouthed empty boaster, prone to committing atrocities under the banner of jihadism.

Quite a difference with the positive image of say a decade ago.

A well deserved change though.

Serious

Turkey doesn’t fight under the banner of jihadism but rather under the banner of nationalism to get rid of kurds that will cause a turkish national problem.

And, I’m glad that you are delusional too like Arabs used to do. “Oh just 1%”. Like Syrians used to say “Oh we just left 1/2 of Syria to USA”. XD. Turkey is advancing and will take over Afrin because YPG is so weak. Remember that YPG can only swap uniforms and without USA they are nothing. Also, Assad is so weak that he even doesn’t seem what he does.

jorge

Under observation of the pellory of the trolls. We would like to listen the people’s voice about this: Serious is a troll bastard? Or a half troll bastard? I confess that his “remember that” is precious, and I suspect that he don’t donate.

Serious

Of course. Always troll but in the end, everything I predicted hapen. XD.

I don’t care if you don’t agree with me.

Of course, people like you always like to hear nice things such as “Putin is a chessmaster”. “Sunnis are not a problem is Syria”. “Syria will win I don’t know why”. XD.

I don’t care if you don’t agree. I absolutely don’t care.

jorge

But my dear Serious, as you like the environment here, you donate or no?

dutchnational

One percent of the population “liberated”, yes. Maybe some 10k civillians. Some say 40 small hamlets and a very small city liberated after many of the population were evacuated.

More correct than the statement of Erdogan : “we liberated a thousand villages within Afrin”.

There are not even a thousand villages in Afrin.

Bulbul had some 1700 inhabitants in the last census in 2004. Maybe now 5k and likely less then 1k remaining after the attack.

Dyanet has read in all moswues that there is a jihad, the Turkish government has declared a jihad so the Afrin invasion is fough under the banner of the jihad, just like all the IS fighters within TFSA are fighting, one just has to watch their videos.

Oh, and Dyanet is being investigated for criminal incitement to hatred by Dutch crime investigators at the moment after those sermons have been spouted by them in the Netherlands.

MichaH

I have no negative feelings about Turkey and its citizens, but are you sure that a positive image has ever existed? At least not in the part of Europe that I inhabit.

Wahid Algiers

The Turks likes nobody in Europe and they worked hard for that with their big mouths and arrogance.

Serious

What having a positive image is for ? Turks are nationalists and defend their interests. Of course, the west doesn’t like that but do they have to care ???

Americans also have a very bad image.

Syrians must defend their country instead of betraying it.

Frane Frlan

The situation in Turkey degraded significantly after “failed cup”. Erdogan mafia cleansed all “suspicious” intellectuals, democrats and army ranks filling up tens of thousand cleansed positions with the “white wolves” members, which is fascist Islamist organisation.

Serious

Turkey does like the west. That’s why he is winning.

jorge

Confessed trollanalyst convinced that’s Nostradamus. Peculiarities: very worker and a little greedy, more or less like the troll bastard rabbi (an information of the pellory of the trolls).

Serious

Turkey is learning from the west and does exactly what the west does. That’s why Turkey is winning. The zionists are those like you who claim the contrary and want Syria to be cut into pieces like it’s now happening.

“Wait wait. Putim has a plan to save Syria” say the zionist trolls. XD.

jorge

Good trying my dear rabbi, but to much quick on the shooting.

Serious

the rabbi is you, dutchnational, Putin, Trump, ….

jorge

And you are losing your temper.

Frane Frlan

You know exactly what I’m talking about. Ataturk legacy has been murdered by Erdogan, especially secularism. But, criminal leaders will always try to blind their own people with populist methodology – inner and outside enemies, religion and nationalism. So they can continue to rob billions of state and peoples money in peaceful and not challenged background. In addition, they took opportunity for smuggling oil and massive earn on weapons sale. It is all for the people good, but the people got murdered and accounts of Erdo & Co in Lebanon & Dubai banks are getting massive.

Serious

If Erdogan wants money, he must just sold out Turkey and the west will gove him a big bunch of money like they do in Saudi Arabia.

Erdogan is targeted by the west. That’s why the west talked about the armenian genocide that they put only on turks whereas kurds were also involved. Also, they wanted to make a coup on him.

Frane Frlan

What is the estimation of Erdogan family wealth (Sons, daughters and their families and Erdo himself), regarding that father earns like 50 k $ yearly?

Are we talking hundreds of thousands or hundreds of millions?

Serious

How many earn the king of Saudi Arabia ???

Frane Frlan

You do understand that the Turkey and Turkish people cannot be compared with a tribal king in middle age society? Or you want Turkey to become such society?

dutchnational

Therre has, to some extent, always been a difference in perception of Turks between Western Europe and Middle Europe/Balkans as the relations have ever been different. In the latter mentioned part, the Ottoman Empire was a slaver occupying and coloniser country. In the western part it never was.

I was talking here of the perception among many in Western Europe at the start of this millennium. That perception has gone with the wind.

Jim Martin

this comment below applies well to Erdogan and his brown shirts, not the Turks that I have grew up with and have known for over 30 years.

“Henry Morgenthau, Sr., served as the U.S. Ambassador to the Ottoman Empire during World War I until 1916. In his memoirs, Morgenthau wrote: “Essentially the Turk is a bully and a coward; he is brave as a lion when things are going his way, but cringing, abject, and nerveless when reverses are overwhelming him.”

Putin pushed back over the shooting down of the Russian Jet several years ago which I believe was justified in Turkish airspace and Erdogan rolled over like a sick Dog and made sucking sounds to Putin

SnowCatzor

There is a reason none of Turkey’s neighbours like it (except Azerbaijan and the fictional state of ‘northern Cyprus’). The Turks have long history of arrogance and bullying, which Erdolf is epitome of.

Wahid Algiers

“are cut off from outside contact.”” Is he blind? Kurds can operate from the Euphrates until Afrin by passing SAA held ground (if allowed).

Serious

It’s funny to see that people think that Erdogan is fighting for islam. XD. Erdogan want one problem solve : the problem of YPG/PKK. That’s it.

Wahid Algiers

No, he dreams to be a key player in the middle East and wants to overtake the role of Iran..

Serious

Right now, Erdogan wants one thing : get rid of kurds to save Turkey.

Maybe Sunnis must let Erdogan rule them instead of being ruled by the stupid Saudis. Erdogan seems to be the only sunni with a litlle bit of brain.

Frane Frlan

Will you exterminate all the Kurds living in Turkey? Millions of Kurds integrated in society? Of course, you cannot, if you will not apply genocide methodology again. Also all the Kurds in Syria and other countries, Syrians and others will hate you for another hundreds of years, and your children will live in the constant fear of revenge and terrorism. Your biggest problem is that – you don’t have a neighbour that you are not in conflict, and you are legit target for anybody who seeing you as NATO member and US bitch. Or opportunistic rat. Even if you will manege to occupy large territory of you neighbour, and win over the Kurds in Afrin, that will not solve your problems with Kurds, because they got permanent control (first time in history) of all energy and oil resources in Syria, and you cannot do a thing preventing them arming like hell in the decades to came with those resources. It will just bring decades of revenge and blood, terror attacks, and not just in Turkey, but all around the globe. So, it is BS-ing when even thinking that occupation of the chunks of neighbouring country will protect/defend Turkey, but here you are – buying populist nonsense from Erdogan “the defender”.

Serious

kurds are not a lot in Syria. Erdogan wants to destroy YPG and PKK parties and FSA will do it.

Frane Frlan

Yeah, just around 2 millions. FSA will do it? I’m quite confident that FSA will soon be exterminated first in eastern Gouta, than in Idlib, meanwhile, they mayor forces will be locked in fight in Afrin, cause they have like 15 k foot soldiers there, and that’s not even enough to put a nose close to the Afrin town, not to mention Afrin mountains. Russia is doing a pocket by pocket no fly zone, and heavy air support for SAA ground troops. So who is helping FSA in eastern Gouta right now? A month from now, Afrin will not be secured, and It is just the bate for buying Assad/Russians time. That’s just a military observation, not that I’m in favour of any side. Of course, Erdogan could play double game – putting the pressure on Kurds (with back agreement with Assad and Russia), because, the most profitable outcome for Turkey is that Assad (Syria) controls Kurds inside the coutry, because Russians will control any future government in Syria, and who control the government, control the Kurds, if they subdue to common government. Which is very likely, and cheapest to achieve with sort of autonomy eastern of Euphrates. So, back to the “progress” of “olive branch” – it is not normal that the army with such a power (as Turkey have) advance like 1 square km per day. I believe that Turkey can secure the whole Afrin area within 7 days blitz, with like 150-300 casualties max. But obviously, they are not doing that.

Serious

there are 4 millions syrian refugees in Turkey. Those refugees will return home once Erdogan get rid of YPG.

Frane Frlan

Erdogan cannot get rid of Kurds east of Euphrates, can we agree on that?

Serious

It’s funny how people like to hear only what they want.

Syria has lost 1/2 of their lands and some people tell me it’s a victory. XD. Say the opposite and you become a troll. XD.

Of course, you will win by god spirit and by repeating “I will win” 10 times. XD.

jorge

Trolling the trolls it’s nice, pity to have other things to do.
