On June 18, Turkish forces conducted a patrol on the M4 highway in the northwestern Syrian region of Greater Idlib.
The Russian Military Police didn’t take part in the patrol, which set off from town of Tronba in south Idlib. Turkish forces managed to reach the town of Kafir in the countryside of the city of Jisr al-Shughur.
In the course of the new patrol, Turkish forces passed through checkpoints of al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham terrorists.

Opposition sources claimed that Russian forces didn’t take part in the patrol due to the attack that targeted one of their armored vehicles during the last joint patrol, which took place two days ago.
The Turkish patrol was likely carried out to scout and secure the M4 ahead of an upcoming joint patrol with the Russian Military Police. Ankara is committed to open the highway under the March 5 agreement with Russia. Any safety issues or delays could jeopardize the agreement.

It is interesting to see how this game pans out
They all has learned that peace only can be made among friends:(
You certainly is an active donator for the quagmire there. You makes people proud not being there.
And ussual = NO SOLITIONS.
I mean why not ? Russia did give Idlib to the Turks, why bother patrolling with Russia ?
Assads lost it. Afrin was lost because of bad judgement.
YPG there never fighted hard and lost many as well a having up to 180.000 refugees for Assads shouil install in NO CHANGE.
You really dont understand much. Blaming Russians is far out.
Not only Turks behave like they are little Ottomans.
When the Turks finally make it past Jisr al-Shughur they’ll come to a dead end for a while, I keep remembering those photos on SF showing huge dirt berms and ditches all along a 35 km stretch of the highway there, and you can’t patrol a highway if there’s no highway to patrol, so they’re going to have to rebuild the highway before they patrol it.
