On September 8, Turkish and US forces started a first joint ground patrol in the framework of the northeastern Syria ‘safe zone’ agreement reached between the states.
According to Turkey’s National Defense Ministry, the joint ground patrol is being supported by unmanned aerial vehicles.
At least six Turkish-flagged armored vehicles joined the U.S. military convoy 30 kilometers away from the Akcakale district of Turkey’s southeastern Sanliurfa province. The joint forces are set to proceed to south from Syria’s Tal Abyad and the patrol is expected to continue till noon hours.
Soon Assadis and Russia will face consequences of their betrayal of Kurds which could have been their strong ally.
What are you talking about Assad & Russia havent betrayed the Kurds. The Kurds betrayed Syria by siding with the US to steal land that wasnt even their own.
spot on but…. dont Forget,… all Trouble with the treacherous kurds started off with the no fly Zone in northern iraq in the 1990´s….. ever since the kurds have established a more or less “state in a state” in iraq, from where they Keep Problems and Troubles high for any iraqi governmenr seeking to establish again the full integritiy and souvereignity of iraq …… This is the typical Satanic Modus Operandi “divide and conquer” as lately seen in syria or before in lbiya or before in yugoslavia or in greater africa or in south america etc….
You also have to point out the Soviets/Russians also tried to establish a independent autonomous zone for the Kurds in Iraq and Iran just after WW2 but they weren’t able to. The Barzani family who’ve controlled the independence movement for 50 years were first encouraged to seek independence by the Soviets, who backed him and his independence party in the same way the US is now backing the YPG/SDF, but the soviets were unable to achieve what the US has achieved with his son the current leader. So I think it’s very wrong to say “all Trouble with the treacherous kurds started off with the no fly Zone in northern iraq in the 1990´s”, it didn’t, it started off with Russia’s helping hand more than 50 years ago. So you have Barzani junior controlling 30,000 KDP Peshmerga in the Iraq autonomous zone [traditional Kurdish homelands], and they sell oil to Turkey and also assist Turkey fighting against the Syrian YPG, but Iraq also has 30,000 Iraqi PUK Peshmerga living in the east of Iraq [not traditional Kurdish homelands] actually supporting and sometimes even helping the Syrian YPG. So to put it very simply, the Kurdish KDP parties in both Turkey and Iraq and their Syrian offshoot party, all favour a political solution to their demands of Kurdish self autonomy, they actually work with Erdogan instead of fighting him, but the PKK in Turkey, the PUK in Iraq, and the YPG in Syria, all instead want a military solution for their independence demands, and are now actively fighting against Turkey, not the Iraq PUK officially though, they just offer to help [conditional on Iraqi government approval] and give material assistance secretly. So the Iraqi KDP in Iraq help the Turks kill Syrian YPG and Turkish PKK Kurds in Iraq, and the Iraqi PUK and Syrian YPG help Turkish/Kurdish PKK kill Turks in Syria, Turkey and Iraq, and yet the Kurds all get lumped in together and thought of as being one homogeneous group.
kurds in Syria, Iraq and Iran were refugees from Turkey; now we can see their gratitude: https://www.israelhayom.com/opinions/golan-recognition-will-the-kurds-be-next/ Kurds are the most betrayer people on earth and in history. Even, they actively partecipated in the ethnical cleansing of Armenians, to made space for themselves. They play victims but are only liars and backstabbers, exacly like their jews “brothers”
When Isis first invaded Syria the SAA and the Russians did nothing. Assad did nothing because he already fighting for his life and couldn’t help, but the Russians could and should have, and because they didn’t help the Kurds, the US came to the rescue instead. So the US saved the Kurds from whatever fate Isis had in mind for them, and yet everybody’s shocked the Kurds threw their lot in with the US. The Soviets/Russians tried to do exactly the same thing the US has done anyway, they tried to set up a independent autonomous state for the Kurds in Iraq and Iran just after WW2 but couldn’t, so it’s not like the US did something the Russians haven’t already tried to do. The Kurds have lived in most of the areas they now occupy in Syria for well over 2000 years, that’s about 2000 years longer than any of the countries that now lay claim to their traditional homelands, they could say the same about huge chunks of Turkey, Iraq, and Iran as well. The Kurds have lived in the areas they have for over 2000 years or more, but Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Turkey have only existed a few hundred years, so who’s traditional lands are they really, the people who’ve lived their the longest, or the people who conquered them recently. And BTW the ALF Kurds are on Assad side, they’re not the US’s side, and some groups like the KDP are even pro Turkish. Perhaps you should refresh your knowledge concerning the traditional Kurdish homelands that have existed since well before Roman times, they’ve been around as an ethnic group for longer than just about any other ethnic group in existence, and as I said that’s about 2000 years longer than Iran, Syria, Turkey, and Iraq have been around, and although the Iranians/persians did conquer them nearly 2000 years ago, they left the Kurds in their own homelands and got along with them ok.
You are 1200% right, What choice did Kurds have, get slaughtered by ISIS ? The Turk US safe zone will only make Kurds go to Assad, part of SDF on West side of Euphrates River already did about 1 week ago , well played chess by Russia and Assad.
kurds are just plain stupid and betray themselves when they scheme and cheat and lie and believe no one notice. yeah, well it’s clear to the naked eye what the kurds are up to and the unhinged states of A will skedaddle back to base and assad and erdogan will put them kurds into their right place, which is as tenants on the border.
and if there is any truth in the reporting that pkk attacked a turkish camp inside turkey, there will be hell to pay and the alliance between the unhinged states of A and turkey will soon be in tatters. erdogan is sitting on the fence trying to hedge his bets but he better realize that Assad will veer to the right and followed by the russian jets will take on the northeast which means sdf, and pkk and he will not hesitate to kick the imbeciles from washington dc out as well and erdogan’s choice is simle – to deal with the kurds of to stay with the imbeciles. easy for a turk and the unhinged states will come second, as in so much else nowadays.
