Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced that the Turkish armed forces are preparing to “clear” from terrorists the territory on the Syrian side of the border.
The statement was made on May 12.
According to media reports, the official reason of the act is “difficulties in Kilis,” a town controlled by ISIS. Militants have been using the area to launch shell the Turkish territory.
Erdogan blamed the allies that aren’t helping and noted that Ankara is ready to act by itself.
