On February 8, the Turkish General Staff released a new report describing the current results of the country’s Operation Olive Branch in the Syrian area of Afrin.
The Turkish state-run news agency Anadolu reports on the issue (SOURCE):
At least 1,028 PYD/PKK and Daesh [ISIS] terrorists have been “neutralized” since the beginning of Operation Olive Branch in Syria’s Afrin, said the Turkish General Staff on Thursday.
Turkish authorities often use the word “neutralized” in their statements to imply the terrorists in question either surrendered or were killed or captured.
In a statement, the military said Turkish Armed Forces had “neutralized” 29 PYD/PKK and Daesh terrorists in airstrikes that were carried out overnight.
On Jan. 20, Turkey launched Operation Olive Branch to clear PYD/PKK and Daesh terrorists from Afrin, northwestern Syria.
According to the Turkish General Staff, the operation aims to establish security and stability along Turkey’s borders and the region as well as to protect Syrians from terrorist oppression and cruelty.
The operation is being carried out under the framework of Turkey’s rights based on international law, UN Security Council resolutions, its self-defense rights under the UN charter, and respect for Syria’s territorial integrity, it said.
The military also said only terror targets were being destroyed and the “utmost care and sensitivity” were being used to not harm civilians.
It’s interesting to note that the Turkish military continues claiming that there are some ISIS members in Afrin while it’s clear for everyone that there is no ISIS there.
Lies, lies, lies. Lies, lies lies…
But one thing is true: There is a lot of Daesh there, within the ranks of the turkish proxies!
One more truth: ALL sides are lying most of the time
The gap between SDF casualty numbers and Turkeys stated victims, are likely the civillians they killed and the non-existing IS fighters that do in fact fight in Afrin, under the TFSA banners.
They do exist look at the TFSA twins one of them was the ISIS T- shirt wearing “DEEZ NUTZ” so they are definitely there.

That was the Deir ez zoir Mil. Council who have been smuggling ISIS across the Euphrates because they are ISIS/SDF backed by US in the region. The SDF gave Conoco fields Syrian Gov for all the help they are providing with out going all in, that would bring in the US for sure. Since there will be another attempt with YPG and Russian support this time.
