On March 2, the mighty Turkish Army and its al-Qaeda allies continued making gains setbacks in Greater Idlib.
Just on March 1, Turkish sources were vowing to conquer Damascus and Aleppo cities, and deliver a crushing blow to the Syrian Armed Forces. On March 2, they started circulating reports about a tactical retreat with the Turkish President himself talking about a ‘ceasefire’.
Since the morning of March 2, units of the Syrian Army had repelled an attack of Turkish-led forces on Kafr Nabul and retaken the villages of Hazarin and Dar al-Kabirah near it.

Turkey wants here just an honorable exit and will have it becouse Russia can’t put his mighth on the field, being geo-politicaly blocked to deploy large military resources in Syria. I mean, those 15k turkish soldiers from syria will be just a minor issue for a contrapart of 15k russian soldiers. But Russia have no posibilitties to do this, there is an hostile ring around Russia and moving large armies over sea is not an option.
The population of Turkey growed 3 times in the last 50years so they want more power in the area, many turks are dreaming at the former might of the Otoman Empire. And Erdogan is a strong leader who can acomplish this becouse is a power vacuum in Europe, and also US seeims to contract their military arrows. For Turkey, Cyprus and Lybia are more important issues by far, and with EU and the arab world beign against them, the only option for an alliance is Russia and Iran, maybe China later. The syrian issue is more a question of ego for Erdogan, if I will be in his place I will just retreat from syria and ask for some compensations (support) in Libya or some economical advantages.

I have no specialist information only what I have read on AMN, Al Masdar News, where the claim that large heavily laden ships from the Black Sea are going to Syria. The claim is that replacement tanks and other hardware is on its way to help the SAA. Also warships with the ability to launch cruise missiles.
