Turkish Military Established 64th Post In Syria’s Greater Idlib

On April 24, the Turkish military established a new post in the northwestern Syrian region of Greater Idlib, where several terrorist groups are present.

The new Turkish post was reportedly built near the village of al-Ziadiyah, in the outskirts of Jisr al-Shughur town in western Idlib. The region is tightly-controlled by al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and the Turkistan Islamic Party.

According to the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, al-Ziadiyah post is the 64th Turkish military positions in Greater Idlib.

Initially, Turkey established 12 posts in Greater Idlib to monitor a de-escalation agreement with Russia in 2018. The number of Turkish positions in the region grew dramatically in the next two years as militants lost more ground to the Syrian military and its allies.

Turkish positions in Greater Idlib host thousands of troops as well as heavy weapons, including battle tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, artillery, rocket launchers, surveillance systems, jammers and air-defense systems.

Turkey is not using its forces in Greater Idlib to tam terrorist groups, like HTS. Turkish forces are in fact acting as a shield for these groups.

Recently, a series of attacks targeted Turkish troops in Greater Idlib. A number of soldiers were killed or injured. These attacks were carried out by the same type of Salafists groups being protected by Ankara.

I know how you Turks are, Mustafa. You recently uploaded videos of the Armenians you tortured and killed in Karabakh. I know you did worse. A poor Armenian woman’s body was also found in Karabakh. Turks had severed her hands and feet and gouged out her eyes. I know you also skinned alive captured Armenian soldiers. I know how you raped, tortured and killed Greek women in Cyprus. Now that you killed all the Christian women you could find, you’re killing your own women everyday.

Mustafa Mehmet

You Turks invaded Christian lands and raped and tortured millions of indigenous Christians.

Turks forfeited their right to exist by the crimes they committed against humanity.

Turkish and Azeri civilians committed the most heinous crimes against Armenian civilians. As recently as 1990, you *civilian* Turkish Azeris raped, mutilated and burned alive Armenian women in your capital Baku. You did the same to Armenians for centuries in the Armenian homeland of Asia Minor (which you falsely call Turkey today).

Some of the Armenian fighters who killed the Azeris in Khojaly had witnessed the torture and murder of their family members in Sumgait and Baku in 1988-1990.

You Turks are monsters. You have no right to exist.

LOL, the very first Astana agreement only allowed 8 Turkish OB posts to be erected, not 12, the other 4 were erected illegally and contrary to the agreement. In fact syrialiveuamaps showed a convoy of Turkish trucks heading to southern Idlib before the agreement was even signed, so in reality Erdogan was setting up his first OB post before the ink had even dried on the first Astana agreement, now we’re up to 64 OB post and 16 Astana agreements, and I think Astana round 17 is nearly due. Strangely it’s gone quiet for nearly a week now, no opposition attacks at all in Idlib, so is this the calm before the storm or is it something else. The opposition forces claim Assad’s recently moved more troops into the areas near Kbanah, which might mean the SAA are preparing to make another move against the town [many failed attempts already], but hopefully they don’t do that and instead strike eastwards into the Al Ghab plains, the rewards for success would be much higher there.
