On October 28, the Turkish military artillery shelled several positions of the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) and the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) near the northern Syrian city of Ayn Arab, known as Kobani, according to the Anadolu Agency.

Local sources familiar with the situation told the Turkish news agency that the shelling was aimed at “hindering the terrorist activities” of these groups, which were reportedly building tunnels and fortifications in the area.

From its side, the Hawar News Agency (ANAH) said that the Turkish shelling targeted the villages of Zourmaghar, Ashma and Carikhli around Kobani. According to the Kurdish news agency, the shelling resulted in limited material damage only.

The YPG and the PKK are considered the core of the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which controls most of northwestern Syria. However, both groups are recognized by the Turkish government as terrorist organizations.

Two days ago, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan issued a “final warning” to Kurdish armed groups in Syria and vowed to clear the entire area east of the Euphrates River from the “terrorists,” in a clear hint to the SDF.

The shelling of Kobani was the first practical step following the aforementioned Erdogan threats. The upcoming days will likely witness more similar attacks by the Turkish military.

Turkish “beng” = English “bang”?

Brother Ma

Pity you Turks could not” Beng” the ISIS in Kobane all those years ago. Yes ,I remember. What happened? Scared to kill fellow Turks cradling black flags with Arabic writing?

The Jews want to prolong the Syria war for as long as possible as part of their Yinon plan to prevent the region from turning on them. Which is what needs to be done to get the region’s Jew problem resolved. The SDF has been dragging it’s heals clearing Isis near Abu Kamal to give the US and NATO a fig leaf to hide behind to justify their illegal uninvited presence in Syria.

What is being attempted is to solidify the partition of Syria and pursue regime change through “free and fair” elections to get a Jew friendly government installed in Damascus. Rather than having it over run by terrorists, which is now no longer an option.

The front lines are continuing to move forward on the ground and in the air with the mop up operations in the southern and eastern desert areas proceeding, the terrorists being cleared out of Idlib and elements of the Syrian government coalition advancing there with the Russian deployments, and the Israeli air attacks being shut down with the air defense system upgrades.

This leaves the Al-Tanf and SDF held areas to address. The Turks with these attacks are making it clear to the Kurds that there will be no expansion of Kurdistan from Iraq to Syria. 90% of the SDF held area is in Kurdish minority areas with large segments of the non Kurdish majorities being opposed to being governed by the Israel friendly Kurds.

The US isn’t hitting the Turks with air strikes like it is the Syrian government coalition in Dier Ezzor. The Syrian air force and the air defense capabilities in Dier Ezzor should be upgraded to deter these air strikes against Syrian government coalition forces involved in clearing operations east of the river so that the front lines can be moved forward there to give the Kurds motivation to negotiate.

Agreements should be reached with Syria’s neighbors to discontinue allowing their territories to be used to transport supplies and personnel to Syrian occupied territories to fuel the war and partition attempts.

The real question is if Erdogan really controls his own Army, or if he’s gambling that he won’t hit any US soldiers.

US soldiers in Syria – are in reality limited numbers of embedded US-SOF – they tend to move quickly away from such intra-NATO confrontations, however their foriegn deployments are not required in US public domain, as with Army or Marines, so casualties are not public knowledge.

The extension in time of a war brings about benefits for war industry and banks (and it looks like that both belong to the same type of people). USA-Israel-NATO (Turkey) are so happy to extend this war as long as possible (keeping an are with terrorists alive).
