Turkish Observation Post In Northwestern Hama Once Again Came Under Artillery Fire (Video, Photos)

A new artillery strike targeted a Turkish observation post located near the town of Shir Mughar in northwestern Hama on June 27.

Syrian opposition sources said that the shelling took place as a convoy of reinforcements was preparing to depart the post on its way back to Turkey.

“The artillery shelling on the post and its surroundings is still ongoing,” a reporter of Enab Baladi, a pro-opposition outlet, said.

Shir Mughar’s post is one of twelve similar observation positions established by the Turkish military around Syria’s Idlib last year under an agreement with Russia and Iran.

This was the fifth such attack on Shir Mughar’s post in the last two months. Turkey held the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) responsible for the most recent attack, which occurred on June 16, and responded by shelling several Syrian military positions in northern Hama.

Opposition activists are claiming that the SAA was also responsible for the new attack. However, Turkey has not confirmed these claims yet. Ankara’s Ministry of National Defense is apparently ignoring the incident, which usually means that the shelling didn’t cause losses.

Hmmmm, who would want to shell the Turks right as they are about to leave?

This was an effort to stop them from leaving the post.

You must be full retard if you believe that SAA is responsible…

National Pride

All the “Allahu Akbars” are proof positive that the Turks’ own jihadists are shelling them. This is good.

Turks should thank Allah they don’t have to deal with the mighty Houthis

Willing Conscience (The Truths

The SAA is definitely responsible for this latest attack on a Turkish OB post, and they’re also responsible for all the other other recent attacks on the other Turkish OB posts as well, and they’re also going to be responsible for a lot more attacks Turkish OB posts in the near future too, YIPEEEEE, Assad’s ripping out the pages of his copy of the Astana agreement and wiping his butt with them, YIPEEEEE. Assad’s ignoring Putin’s requests to to stop attacking the Turks and their proxies because he’s actually trying to drag Putin into a confrontation with Erdogan, the rebels aren’t creating a false flag attack to blame Assad because Assad’s already blaming himself, and also giving Erdogan the finger at the same time, LOL YIPEEEEE. Assad wants Idlib back and he’s forcing Putin to make a hard choice, that’s why the SAA are attacking Turkish OB posts, and by attacking the OB posts Assad’s saying to Erdogan, ‘and what are you going to do about it dickhead, I don’t care if you go crying to mummy’ [Putin]. The SAA retaking all those towns in northern Hama wasn’t quite enough to rile up Erdogan, so I think Assad and the SAA have upped the ante to get a proper response from him, and blowing up Turkish OB posts is definitely a good way of upping the ante and getting a proper response, if this doesn’t get Erdogan to blow a fuse nothing will. And why would the Turks send down a convoy to evacuate their soldiers and equipment, they should already have all the transport vehicles they’d possibly need located near the OB posts at all times, wouldn’t that be standard procedure in a conflict zone. Evacuation force my backside, I think it was probably a convoy full of reinforcements that was forced to evacuate due to the SAA shelling, that’s much more likely to be the real story.
