On December 13, heavy clashes broke out between militants of the Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement and the al-Sham Liberation Army (SLA) in the Turkish-occupied area of Afrin in northern Syria.
The clashes erupted, when al-Zenki militants assaulted an SLA militant over a disagreement on the ownership of an apartment in the district of Jandaris. The SLA responded by launching an attack on al-Zenki in Jandaris’ center.
Hundreds of militants from both sides took part in the clashes, which lasted for most of the day. Heavy weapons were also used. This led to a state of panic among locals in Jandaris.
Al-Zenki is a part of the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army, while the SLA is not. The group was formed in Western Qalamun and later moved to Damascus’ Eastern Ghouta. In 2018, the group was expelled from the region by the Syrian military.
According to opposition sources, a militants of the SLA was killed in the clashes. Several other militants from both groups were reputedly injured.
The clashes ended following an intervention by the Free Military Police, a law enforcement body backed by Turkey. A reconciliation agreement between the leaders of al-Zenki and the SLA was reached.
Such conflicts are fairly common in Turkish-occupied areas in northern and northeastern Syria. Turkey does not usually intervene, likely to maintain ‘balanced’ relations with all of its proxies.

My God, of course Russian use GPS which is international Global Positioning System, but GLONASS is purely Russian made, and others can use it of course, but it is only Russia one state that has its own constellation of satellites of global navigation satellite system which is called GLONASS. You said funny thing like Glonass-Gps position, you should have just said Glonass position, you don’t know much about it kido, I do work with these devices almost 10 years now. Primarily GPS works with 24 satellites in orbit, in geosynchronous orbit at altitude of 19.500km, you phone that use GPS or GlONASS can acquire location of you with A-GPS which means it only needs 2 satellites to obtain the location, before A-GPS older phones needed 4 satellites to give location. GPS is invented by Japan in 1989 in which back then they send in orbit 2 satellites at low earth orbit but just for small areas for testing in Japan, many years later it was adopted as Global thing and many invested internationally to have it, at the beginning in the 90s was used by the US, Japan and other militaries for spy purposes, tracking patterns etc. In Russia you cannot attach yourself to GPS, you will be transferred to Russian GLONASS, when you are in Russia you are blocked of using GPS only GLONASS, which is very sophisticated, Russia has it on 12 to 18 satellites, they said they will improve it with more but who knows, it works flawlessly! If I am on my car with GPS that supports GLONASS which today almost all does, I drive in let’s say in Ukraine to Russia GPS will guide me but soon as you got close to Russian border coverage you will be transferred to GLONASS, under Russian control, inside Russia, Russia wants to have control on their system, believe me on this.
