ISIS cells and Kurdish groups are still carrying out attacks against Turkish proxies in the northern countryside of Syria’s Aleppo.

On November 18, ISIS announced that its cells had assassinated Hussein al-Jabli, an officer of the Free Syrian Police in the Turkish-occupied city of al-Bab. Amaq, ISIS news agency, said al-Jabli was killed with a silenced gun.

Opposition activists said al-Jabli was a Lieutenant and a former fighter of the al-Tawhid Brigade, which was the largest opposition faction in Aleppo.

ISIS cells are intensifying their attacks against Turkish proxies. On November 4, Hamdu Hamadi, a commander of the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army, was assassinated by the group in al-Bab.

Kurdish guerrilla groups, especially the Afrin Liberations Forces (ALF), are also stepping up their attacks on Turkish-backed forces in northern Aleppo.

On November 19, the ALF announced that its fighters had killed nine Turkish-backed militants and injured at least one other in three separate attacks on November 11 and 12.

The Kurdish group released a video showing recent attack with an improvised explosive device on a SUV carrying Turkish-backed militants in Afrin.

Turkey and its proxies are making no effort to restore the rule of law in their areas in northern Aleppo. The situation in Turkish-occupied areas in northeastern Syria is not better. Attacks and bombings are taking place there on a regular basis.
