On September 3, reports appeared that the Turksih army entered the Syrian territory near the town of Al-Rai in northern Syria. Local sources reported about at least 15 battle tanks and a significant number of Turkish soldiers in the area.

Since the start of intervention near Al-Rai, the Turkey-led forces have taken control of Idalat, Talyah Garbiyah, Al Athariyah (on Sept.3) and Tweiran (on Sept.4) near Al-Rai. After the recent gains of Turkish forces near Al Rai and Jarabulus, ISIS controls is only about 10 km of the Syrian-Turkish border.

kurds should be given advanced anti tank weapons. The turks will try to relieve Aleppo from liberation by the SAA, which is unacceptable.

Tom Tom

They can get them from the Russians and Iranians, who’ve they already turned to. When this is over and Russia has lit up Turkey like a Christmas tree, the Kurds will take the entire southern half of Turkey.

ISIS softened things up for the Turks to just come on in and take over land. ISIS also provided the excuse for Turkey and U.S. direct bombing and invasion of Syria. ISIS was a U.S./CIA creation from Iraq, started under their noses, and the U.S. military and spokesmen were calm and fine with it as it was taking over Iraqi army weapons and then charged into Syria. After it took over large parts of Syria, an excuse had to be manufactured for the western masses to want to see their militaries tackle ISIS. Hence the staged hoaxes of “humanitarians” (all of whom had extensive military or spy backgrounds) being beheaded. The real and gory beheadings of Syrian army and civilians is almost totally ignored, much less hyped like the phony ones.

If you dig deeper the Sunni Iraqi’s that had the weapons took off the uniform in order to fight against the Shia their Iranian masters. Russia is on Iran’s side of this sectarian/civil war.

bs. The “sectarian” war is the thing israeli puppeteers want western public opinions to perceive, in accordance with their new wahabist friends. Actually, it’s a confrontation between true muslims and false ones, the false ones being the ones who act on israels interests, like ISIS, moderate opposition and turkey. Most of the syrian population is sunni, so is the syrian army, yet their support for assad never got under 80%, even in western made polls. When one sees israel preferring to have ISIS on its border instead of a secular, baathist government, one cannot but speculate in this direction.

On August 28, edmaps showed the Turkish and “rebels” having already taken Al Rai, Azas and all the way down to Mare. Now a week later , this front is just hitting the press. War certainly creates media control.

Joseph Scott

Oh, look, IS mysteriously not resisting the Turks at all. I imagine they will launch another ‘counterattack,’ and with equal ease will seize another 10-15kmof territory from the suddenly helpless Turks, so that they can take it in turn in another bloodless advance the next day. What a farce.
