Two explosions rocked the Turkish-occupied city of Ras al-Ayn in the northern countryside of Syria’s al-Hasakah on December 5.
According to local sources, a booby-trapped vehicle exploded near the al-Jauzah roundabout in Ras al-Ayn’s city center. A few minutes later, an improvised-explosive device (IED) exploded near the town’s municipal building.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that the first explosion killed a person and injured several others. The results of the IED explosion have not been revealed, so far.
A day earlier, two people were killed and six others were injured when a booby-trapped car exploded in Ras al-Ayn’s Corniche street.
Turkish-occupied areas in northeast Syria have been targeted by a series of bombings. Ankara claims that Kurdish forces are behind these attacks. However, this accusation is yet to be proven.
