Jaysh Maghawir al-Thawra and Jaysh Usud al-Sharqiya, Free Syrian Army groups operating in eastern Syria, have rejected a US offer to support an advance of the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Deir Ezzor province, the Turkish state-run media outlet Anadolu Agency reported on Thursday.

According to the report, the Jaysh Maghawir al-Thawra’s spokesperson Muhammad Jarrah said that Jaysh Maghawir al-Thawra has rejected a US offer to participate in the operation because it sees the Kurdish-dominated SDF as a separatist movement and that the both SDF and ISIS boosted the strenght of the Syrian government.

Jarrah claimed that they will participate in the opeartion only if the group ‘s members able to take “independent steps” because they “do not want to share the burden of crimes committed against Syrian civilians.”

Jaish Osoud al-Sharqiya’s spokesman,  Saed el-Hajj, also said that his group has rejected the US offer and claimed that “the SDF and the regime are from the same group” and such offers are aimed to boost tensions within the so-called moderate opposition.

The statements are laughable, but the course of action does not bode well for the kurds…

Bru

yes with their stupid and arrogant acts these last months, the PKK-SDF have turned all locals against them in addition to the Turks and will soon be completely finished.

With only Kurds in the SDF holding Arab ground becomes very problamatic to explain to the UN. Poor US, another dumb plan fails.

Even rats know when to leave a sinking ship.

Laughable statements from small impotent FSA groups, unable to overcome sectarian basic instincts. All parties in Syria are constrained by a lack of manpower. SAA, SDF, IS, TM (turkish mercenaries), HTS..

Soon SDF will have 50k fighters redeployable. Even if say 10k remain in or near Raqqah, they can redeploy tens of thousands towards Dez, a distance of a little over 100 kms.

and gainst kurds will be i n arm 1 000 000 soldiers from 4 countries. delete kurdistan!

Bru

Yes how dumb were the PKK-SDF terrorists in Syria to act so stupidly, the Turks will wipe them out…

dutchnational

Dream on bro, they do not even have half and 90% of those cannot be deployed against SDF. SAA, incl 70k “volonteers” from several countries can hardly win from IS and need SDF to almost destroy IS before they were able to advance against IS.

Iraq will not have anything available as they might clash against Iraqi pesh merga with over 200k fighters.

SDF now has over 100k while SAA plus NDF just have some 200k.

So in short, nice soundbyte but very stupid.

Everyone can see who will be the winning side now. No one wants to back and go down with the loser.
