On July 11, local groups of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) in the town of Yadudah in the western Daraa countryside accepted a reconciliation agreement, according to the Hezbollah media wing in Syria. Under the agreement, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) will be deployed inside and around the town.

Few hours earlier, units of the Russian Military Police were deployed inside the town of Tafas, north of Yadudah, under a similar agreement. FSA fighters in both towns are expected to hand over their weapons to the SAA in the upcoming hours.

In a related development, Syrian pro-government sources reported that FSA fighters in the town of Inkhil began handing over their heavy weapons to the SAA. The town, which is also located in the western Daraa countryside, quietly joined the reconciliation process few days ago.

Currently, the remaining areas in the western Daraa countryside are either under the control of a coalition between the FSA and Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham or the ISIS-affiliated Khalid ibn al-Walid Army. These areas will be targeted with a military operation very soon if the militants there refuse to surrender.
