On September 18 morning, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) targeted two armored vehicles of the Turkish Armed Forces in the southern part of Greater Idlib.
Syrian troops fired several projectiles at two vehicles, which were passing near the town of Marzaf. The attack was carried out from a position in the town of Kafr Battikh. Some opposition sources said the vehicles were targeted with artillery shells. However, anti-tank guided missiles were likely used.
According to the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the armored vehicles were damaged. Other sources claimed that a Turkish service member was injured. This has not been confirmed yet by the Turkish Ministry of National Defense.

The attack was likely a response to the recent provocations of Turkish-backed militants, who are violating the ceasefire in Greater Idlib on a regular basis.
Under the March 5 agreement with Russia, Turkey committed to neutralize radicals in Greater Idlib. Turkish forces are yet to fulfill this obligation. Moreover, some of the factions in the region are still receiving support from Ankara.
Greater Idlib ceasefire appears to be on the brink of collapse. Two days ago, Turkish Foreign Minister revealed that the last Russian-Turkish talks on the region were not productive, warning from a new escalation.
Since Erdogania gave Al Qaeda it’s own equipment it’s pretty hard to make distinctions between FSA jihadists/HTS/ISIS and Turkoid Army in Idlib.

Either way whatever might be the real facts on the ground …thing is that this is the POSITIVE news since they didn’t miss! Hitting terrorists or assistants of terrorists is the same thing. At least SAA don’t have to pretend that they have any kind of agreement with them.

It is always the same routine. There is agreement. There is Turkey pretending to respect agreement but can’t fulfill. And there is Russian bombing and SAA – allays offensive to push terrorists back. But this time the question is how much help will SAA get from “allays” and how much negative influence can yearn massive well dug in Turk presence on general situation. They have had their claws dug in deeply, in border parts of Syria and they seam to intend to stay. But Russia will not have HTS staying in Idlib under no conditions…..

So you keep repeating that. One thing at the time. First Syria must get rid off terrorists in Idlib and elsewhere. Russia will not permit HTS and foreign terrorist presence in Syria. End of story.

I hope you remember what happened the last time Turkish soldiers were killed. A war with Turkey isn’t in the interest of Assad. Right now, Assad is weak, ISIS killing his soldiers almost every week. It’s all they could do to restrain ISIS. there’s also the SDF to worry about, then there’s the idlib militants. Opening a fourth front with Turkey isn’t a good idea. With the Libyan cris about to be solved by the UN and with talks between Turkey and Greece looking productive, Turkey has little distraction and it can focus squarely on Syria.
Seems its never a good time,not a good time to attack foreign occupiers in the oil field,not a good time to hit back at Israel,now its not a good time to hit those bastards in Idlib,when the fuck IS the right time?
What the fuck is the purpose of asking such question to the open Sunni supporter of the Turkey, Erdogan (and terrorism)?!? What did you expect him to say for fuck sake?! Maybe; “Go attack those Turk bastards!” huh ?!
There’ll never be a good time because you are facing a much more formidable adversary or adversaries. My advice is to settle for a political solution. A war with Turkey will CERTAINLY overthrow Assad even if Turkey suffers great losses too. And don’t think the U.S will sit idly while you fight Turkey, cos they both want to see an end to dictatorship in Syria.
I know how Turkish are. They think they are scary… I’ve seen them many times, and the reality is not the way they imagine. They only succeed fighting 10 against 1, or using deloyal methods… Anyway, they are already in war with Syria, nothing to lose out there. Wait and see…Syria belongs to the Syrian. Turkish go back to Turkey.
Of course Syria belongs to the Syrians, not to dictators and their backers. And I don’t know how many times I should mention on this forum that I’m not a Turk. Is every supporter of Turkey a Turk?
We want Syrians to return home and after settling down vote for their leaders. The ones against this idea are the Alawites and their friends, knowing they’ll lose.
I do support Turkey going to war in defense of Syrians, and I’ll volunteer to take part if I were in the Turkish army. The idea of letting Assad crush the opposition and reunite Syria under dictatorship is nothing but a pipe dream for all those who wish to see that.
Don’t forget, you have the Americans to deal with. And we all know they aint leaving Syria with Assad in power. So we’ll see who pays the higher price in blood and treasure. My greatest sympathy is for the Syrian civilians caught up in this fighting.
If you support Turkey you should also support Turkey cleaning up Idlib from the AQ affiliates, Nusra & Co, Turkestani islamic party and the kind as per the agreement with Russia. Doing business with them has both privileges and responsibilities.
