On Wednesday, two US Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt II attack jets crashed during a training flight over a Nevada military range, the US newspaper Stars and Stripes reported on Thursday citing US officials.

The incident took place at the Nevada Test and Training Range at 20:00 local time.

According to a statement of Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada, the warplanes’ pilots ejected safely and were taken into a military hospital. The pilots were assigned to the Air Force’s 57th Wing at Nellis.

It is not clear yet what caused the crash. The incident is under investigation.

:) :) This obviously due to Russian hacking of the pilots sat navs. Surely the US Military should now fit ‘collision sensors’ fore and aft for the safety of their pilots ? The pilots will also need combat stress counselling for months.

It has not been a good few months for the US Military. Destroyers hitting super tankers they failed to see :) et al. The US collision insurance will be sky high now.

Barba_Papa

LOL!

Everything is the fault of Russian hackers. I’m sure they were responsible as well for the Houston flooding. If not for hacking US flood defenses, that at least for that giant weather control machine that Putin has build in his spare time in his dacha.

Shame about the aircraft though. I’ve always like the A-10. It’s a beautiful aircraft. So ugly it becomes beautiful again.

FlorianGeyer

I bet you a pound that all the rain water that fell on Houston is Russian. An unidentified source told CNN that the source of the flood water was the Volga River in Russia . Its a devilish new Russian weapon called a ‘ водная бомба ‘ ( Water Bomb).

So now that you know the truth can I paste my Bank details here for you to settle the bet . :)

jade villaceran

I read somewhere in youtube its called raingun (railgun)

FlorianGeyer

Trump will of course need to Tweet a response to the criminal Russian ‘weaponisation’ of rain. The Military Industrial Complex of the US must now be given billions of $ to create a defence for this. A massive umbrella would be one idea.

PZIVJ

China is already working on a defense against the “Water Bomb” :) https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/4f3bcebd3815bd7a3cc575de51a63fe1fb070c23a904beb1937c51e5ac630540.jpg

FlorianGeyer

Any US version would need to be in rainbow colours of course and would likely be the F35 of umbrellas . Over budget, over designed, over time only really suitable for sticking it ‘Where the Sun does not Shine’.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Well it couldn’t have been the Iranians they would have landed them safely!

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

They don’t know how to read radar anymore , which would prevent collisions in air and sea ,on land look out the window.

FlorianGeyer

It was all so easy as well for the US military during their Call of Duty game training :) Its just not fair to endanger the lives of US service personnel by making them fly real planes and to sail in busy shipping lanes.

John Whitehot

nvm

SOF

This is not a good sign with whatever is going on in the US military with their maintenance cycles. A-10’s are as tough as planes come, even better in terms of specialization in their role of close air support than the Su-24.

Bob

But USAF upper echelon has been trying to decommission A-10 fleet in recent years to reallocate more of their budget into F-35 program – only the need for A-10’s in actual combined combat operations has kept them in service until present.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

They have been trying to amalgamate the other military branches air forces together so they can take their budgets.

John Whitehot

i don’t see the generals/admirals of the respective services being coaxed into that.

there’s people that would put a pistol to his own head rather than seeing something like what u say..

goingbrokes

You are correct. A little crash, conveniently arranged, may accelerate the decommissioning process! ;)

John Whitehot

it’s a good plane – for coin operations it still has no competitor in the US or Europe lineups. Yet it’s probably too cheap.

Barba_Papa

They’ve been trying to decommission the A-10 fleet since the end of the Cold War, trying to fop its mission off to the F-16. As if the F-16 could loiter over a battlefield with the same kind of payload for the same length of time. Merely flying close air support is beneath the Chair Force. They believe they can win wars on their own. The US Army on the other hand would LOVE to take over the A-10. It’s only US law that keeps the army from having its own fixed aviation. A law the USAF probably had a big hand in creating.

SOF

USAF was created after WW2 after starting off as a sub-branch of the US Army in the days when bombs were hand-dropped from motorized kites. So I would say your last line is right, it implies big egos at work.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

The A-10 they are using is probably old trainers and they have become an issue in regards to maintenance as the Air force keeps allocating money to the F-35 “Wealth fighter” plane the more they pour into it the less it seems to function properly.

TS

.leave out the location unless readily verified by independent sources, in a timely manner..

Mr. Costelol

I was chased by one in 1999, they will not be missed. However, their DU munitions are here to stay and remind us of US criminality eternally.

Thegr8rambino

what u were doing that u were chased by one?

Mr. Costelol

Defending my bloody country against NATO aggression, in the region of the Decani monastery.

Thegr8rambino

am glad u survive to tell us about it :)))

Mr. Costelol

The cannon of the plane makes an awful sound, it took me a few days to get back to normal. It’s something you never forget. Almost like B52 carpet bombing, but it’s a lighter pressure wave. Fortunately, the field I was running across was soft agricultural land, no rocks, so there was no uranium dust.

Thegr8rambino

Wow I have never heard it, but hope u never have to again :)) what a sick, insane country the US is

Mr. Costelol

It’s PNAC strategy, steal all the resources, subvert or destroy any society that can be independent to secure US hegemony for the 21th century. We said no, but were all alone in the 90’s (false flagged, demonized, sanctioned) – still they lost 15 years time against us. I still believe in a better world. The Glorious resistance of the SAA , finally with Russian support from 30th Sept 2015, means Russia is rising, what they couldn’t do for us, Iraq, or Libya they’re doing for Syria. I’m optimistic for the future.

Thegr8rambino

Yes absolutely I have no love anymore for america at least in its current form, and hope it is kicked out or leaves the middle east completely and forever, allowing Russia to rise and protect Iran Iraq Syria etc :))

Johnson Malarkey

@Th@bobdillon:disqus What he’s saying is that he’s a Serb soldier, that was defending Serbia against U.S. led illegal bombing back in 1999, and when I say illegal, I mean it wasn’t approved by the U.N. security council. Oh well, at least the Russkies and the Chinese got our stealth bomber F-117A that the Serbs shot down, and reverse engineered it into Su-57 etc…

John Whitehot

if there’s aplane that got nothing of the f-117 that’s the Su-57.

it takes great lenghts of fantasy to see any traces of that brick in modern aircraft.

Tudor Miron

Reverse engineering that junk, that could barely fly and shot down by ancient AAM :) Look at 117 and what it does in the air and look at Su-57 :) Yeah – it’s obvious that 117 is a base of Su-57 :D

Thegr8rambino

oh well lol

Langaniso Mhlobo

This God anger and distribution.

John Whitehot

when two jets crash one would think about an inflight collision.

chris chuba

Makes sense. I wonder how A10’s would collide, I don’t typically think about them flying in tight formations. Perhaps one of them misunderstood a command and made an opposite turn.

Putin's baby

Our new weapons… Electronic warfare systems are right out of Si-Fi, but they exist and we have them…

You will see many more “crashes” very soon. Pity these pilots survived..

Tudor Miron

You’re an obvious troll who’s intention is to paint Russia as enemy. “Pity these pilots survived”(c) – this totally contradicts to Russia’s aims. When we have to fight, we fight and there’s no mercy during the fight. But we don’t kill for the sake of killing. For your masters (even if you don’t realise who they are) human being death is a desired outcome of any event. Some people do not understand simplest things – very same action will have very different consequences depending on its intention. One can kill to stop violence and another will do the same to spread violence. Seemingly same action but very different outcome. If we take last couple of decades we’ll see that both US and Russia used force but consequences are very different. So stop pretending that you represent Russian thinking here. If you are Russian and promoting such ideas than you’re are working for hostile (to Russia and Humanity) forces.
