U.S. Delivered 200 Trucks Loaded With Weapons To Syrian Democratic Forces In September

In September, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) received 200 trucks loaded with ammunition and weapons from the US, according to Syrian opposition sources.

The Syrian opposition source revealed that on September 11, 100 trucks carrying weapons and ammunition entered the SDF-held area in al-Hasakah governorate. The trucks entered Syria coming for the Kurdistan Region of Iraq via the Semalka border crossing on the Syrian-Iraqi border.

On September 19, 100 more trucks entered Syria via the same border crossing, according to the source. The second batch was sent to the SDF-held area in Deir Ezzor governorate on September 20, according to Kurdish sources.

The trucks carried several US-made Oshkosh L-ATV vehicles, dozens of pickups, different types of weapons and ammunitions, according to Syrian opposition sources. Some trucks also carried fuel and other supplies likely for the US bases in Syria.

Since June, the US has supplied the SDF with over 1,600 trucks with weapons and ammunition to support its operation in Raqqa city. The latest shipment is likely a part of the US effort to boost the SDF advance in Deir Ezzor governorate in order to capture the strategic oil fields in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside before the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies reach them.

The US is arming the SDF so much, but why isn’t Turkey closing the borders there and in Idlib. If Turkey wants to end this conflict, they must close the border areas.

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

think this is coming into Iraq via Globemasters and if that’s the case Iraq will have to stop the shipments as soon as ISIS is cleared from Iraq and Syria, then restrict access to Syria.

Bru

the terrorists have tunnels below the borders

slaves of israhell up to no good

Exactly what I surmised previously. By hook or crook that border has to be sealed.

AMHants

The US tax payer i so generous, but, there again, they don’t know, do they?

I wonder how many of those trucks and weapons will be left by the end of September? Judging by the actions of Syria, Iran, Russia and Hezbullah? Do you need ‘fully comprehensive insurance’ when giving terrorists weapons and vehicles?

electron

How many trucks did RF provide to saa?

Terra Cotta Woolpuller

Iran and Russia keep providing equipment armored cars , Tanks ,planes and munitions and weapons food stuff and medicine. the 19th proved the meddle of Russians,Chechens,Syrians, Iranians in freeing those encircled soldiers.

They don’t send trucks but ships.

I doubt that all these weapons and ammo went to the SDF. It crossed the border INTO SDF territory, but we have no idea where it ended up after that. Some probably went to the SDF, but plenty of it was probably used to bribe local tribal FSA/al Nusra fighters (or future ex-ISIS head-choppers) to join the SDF. Or at least not kill the SDF when they drive through.

The US has to be sure to keep its stay-behind ex-ISIS guerrilla fighters well-armed to kill plenty more Syrians in the future. Besides, the US can’t evacuate all these head-choppers to Afghanistan. Evacuation is only for the ‘important’ ones. The cannon-fodder ISIS trash have to stay Syria, but they get a nice new AK-47 for their trouble.

Much of it went to their own forces not so much the munitions and weapons those were sent to the various groups, the ones that tank round blew up had new Assault rifles.

Moussa Saab

Looks like a new ISIS is merging in the name of democracy this time.

Bru

what a shame, all the time arming terrorist groups, remembers when in the 80ies they were training arming the Taliban, including Sting manpads…
